First impressions: I got this in the shade Berry Tea. In the package it looks much brighter than the swatch on the NYX website.
As a lip color it’s VERY matte and dry looking (which i was not expecting or wanting). It definitely highlights any peeling, lines, dry skin on your lips. The color is fantastic- one light swipe gives me a surprisingly a nice muted red/berry color. A thicker coat imparts a bright but not gharish color, which is really rare to find with my coloring. With this product, I definitely need to use a clear lip balm, and make sure my lips are not dry or peeling.
My first try using this as a blush was a bit of overkill. I think I used way too much (with a beauty blender). It seems like a much tinier amount and a stipple brush would be in order.
This has a cake batter (vanilla based) fragrance. I think it smells yummy, but just know… it’s fairly strong.

I usually like NYX lip products, but this one is not for me. I received Cocoa Bean in my Ipsy bag and the shade was too brown for my taste. The color looked very flat on my lips. I prefer pinkish or redddish browns. The formula felt nice on the lips, but it did not last at all. Did not try it as a cheek contour or blush because the color would not work on my skin tone.

Great blush! Glides on seamlessly, leaving no streaks or patches. Gives a “lit from within” look.
I would not use this is a lip product though. It just doesn’t have the right texture. Too dry and not enough balminess to make it stick.

I got this in my Ipsy June 2017 box. I’m not super impressed (**does the McKayla Maroney face), I got Pink Cloud which fares better as a blush than a lippie). I initially thought this was a lipgloss & slicked it on & I was shocked how dry my lips got! Better as a blush leaves a slight stain but that’s OK. That’s this product = “OK.” I’m like okay meh I remember now why I don’t buy a lot of DS products anymore.

Pink cloud – big YAY for me on my nw 25 ish skin! On lips it lasts but isn’t Matte – it’s like a stain w gloss, and on cheeks reminds me of this old MUFE cream blush in a pump I used to have – pink cloud is a blue based true bubblegum pink. Oh and obviously as it’s a stain it lasts on cheeks!

Did not like it. On the lips after it dried down it separated into the lines and did not look cute. Maybe mix it with a gloss? The pigment does go on well for the lips before its dry. I tried it on my cheeks with no luck again. I couldn’t really build it up and when I blended it disappeared. I do have combo skin and zero patient so that could have been a factor

Great Big yes. I haven’t used these on the lips, but as a blush, they’re stellar.I’m NC40/C4, so a medium olive. I bought Plush (nude-rose,) Cocoa Bean (similar, more brownish,) and a light pink (I think it’s pink cloud-haven’t tried this one.)
These are comparable to my HG Armani blushes. Smooth, silicony application, melts into skin, and lasts well. They are very reasonably priced; available at Ulta. Highly recommend.
***Cocoa Bean on the lips is a pretty nude, though matte.

I love this! Especially as a blush it blends in beautifully and seamlessly and sets dry and stays on all day and you only need literally less than a dot and the texture feels Sooo nice and really unique

I like multi-use products and NYX in general so I was excited to get my hands on this, bought Dark Cloud only however, as the others were either too light or too similar to other lipsticks I already had. It’s quite pigmented and goes on really easy and light on the lips, the doe foot applicator does its job pretty well. I have dry and chapped lips however it’s not drying for me at all, and lasts a decent amount of hours even through food and drink. As a blush it’s pretty great too, however you have to move quickly since it dries and stains quite fast, but with a sponge or beauty blender it works fine. Overall I really do love this product and would recommend them!

I got these in 3 shades, Berry Tea, Dark Cloud, and Pink Lace. First, the good. These are CRAZY-pigmented. The shades are not bad, but they seem to be duplicates of other NYX lip product shades, so the shades themselves really are nothing new or different or special or unique. They are pretty, vibrant shades, in my opinion these particular shades are not for the timid. Berry Tea is the least “loud”. But again, I am 99% positive NYX has these shades already in other lip products that they already have. So again, the shades, while pretty, they are not really anything unique.
So why only 2 stars..? These are very drying. I get that NYX is (again?) following the popular matte lip trend, but these are terribly drying, the worst of any ‘matte’ lip product I have tried in quite some time. I had to remove these all within an hour of wearing and put on some heavy-duty lip moisturizer. BAD. These also tend to migrate outside the lip line and can be a little tricky to apply and get an even application. Some of the colors seem to be worse than others as far as being tricky to get an even application. Dark Cloud to my surprise was the least difficult, then Berry Tea, and Pink Lace was pretty much a disaster to apply. And the thing is, if it does migrate outside your lip line, these tend to stain, and they stain FAST!! So depending on the shade, you might look like you have a punched lip or something because of the stain outside your lips. Not a flattering look.
So all in all these are crazy-pigmented, but none of the shades are unique to me, and they are horribly drying and can be tricky to apply and can shift around in unflattering ways. I would actually give these a 1-star rating, but if you are willing to really take your time in applying these (and I recommend using a lip balm for sure before applying), these might be okay, especially if you do not have a large lip product collection and these shades are ‘new’ to you.
But for me, I do not want to fuss that much with what I feel should be an easy product to apply, especially not for shades that I pretty much already have in better formulas.
NYX used to be one of my fave companies for lip products, but in the last couple of years or so, their newer releases have been passes/fails for me. Oh and these seem to me kind of pricey for the amount of product that you get.
If you want to try them I would definitely suggest using a coupon or getting them when they are on sale. But I won’t be re-purchasing these. In fact, these are going in the trash. Just way too drying!!!!
Sorry, NYX, you have lost my ranking as a top lip product company from the ‘drugstore’ with your last few releases. 🙁
