This is the only one of my KVD lipsticks I bought all on its lonesome, because the color looked gorgeous online. In person it is gorgeous–a sheer glittery copper. My only complaint is that it’s only buildable up to a point, but it’s more wearable as a sheer lipstick so it’s a minor quibble. This is a bit drier than the creams in the line but with the right prep it’s not uncomfortable. It fades evenly and has a surprisingly neutral tone, so I think a lot of people could wear it. It’s far outside what I normally wear and it’s easily the most unique color in my lipstick collection, but it’s a stunner and I’d probably buy it again.

I went to the Kat Von D stand at Sephora specifically for Lolita, they were out so I looked at other colours.
when I saw this one I dismissed it as aging, that’s right aging!
it was that high shimmer lipstick your mother/aunt used that showed off every crease in her lip and managed to add ten years to her face somehow.
but oddly I kept coming back to it, swatching it and drawing the same conclusion.
I caved in last week and tried it on…
I take it back, I take it ALL back!!! This lipstick is actually neutral red with ALOT of gold glitter giving it the illusion of a coppery golden colour. unlike high shimmer the glitter adds alot of glam to your look and is easy to pull off even with minimal make-up on.
long wearing and stunning this one now tops lolita as my fav. lipstick, one thing you have to watch out for is to not smear it during application, all the studded kiss lippies are hard to remove and this one will show if you go outside your lips,,, it’ll show in glitter!!!
there was hardly any fall out or feathering/bleeding which I was happy with BUT if you eat/drink then you will have to re-apply.
This one turns heads with a little bronzer and will happily buy it again if I run out. worth every penny 🙂

Omg favorite lipstick. The shade is completely unique, edgy but at the same time not too in-your-face, kind of a bronze, and really flattering on my complexion. It lasts a decent amount of time but definitely needs reapplication.

Ever get a lipstick stuck in your head after seeing it on someone else, and then you just get fixated on it and can’t stop thinking about it? Well, that was me with Gothica.
I had initially disregarded this shade as ugly, thinking that on my olive complexion, it would make me look washed out and slightly jaundiced. For that reason, I didn’t even bother to try it on (regardless of how drawn to it I was because of the glitter and the terrific name). But I decided after thinking about it and considering it for the past month to give it a whirl at Sephora and WOW. Talk about an oddly universal shade! On one hand, this leans a bit coppery red. Like a muted brick. On the other, it’s a straight-up bronzey orange. It all depends on the light. Good part is, it looks gorgeous either way.
The glitter in this is truly unique. I don’t really feel it on my lips, and though it’s quite gold, it has a beautiful iridescence to it that I love.
Like the similar (but redder) shade, Thin Lizzy, this wears beautifully and adheres to the lips like rubber cement. That’s not to say it’s drying and uncomfortable, however, as it feels quite nice on my lips. Not too heavy, not drying, and plenty flexible to avoid cracks and creasing.
The packaging of the Studded Kiss line is gorgeous and fairly sturdy. I know a few people have mentioned it coming open in their bag, but I own about seven of these lipsticks and I’ve never had that happen to me.
The price is a little high for an average lipstick, but it’s not bad considering it’s a great-performing, high-end product.
Definitely will repurchase now that I know how magical this shade truly is!

Gothica is a beautiful brick red shade with a twist. I am not usually one for wearing lipsticks with sheen – much less sparkles, but this is a unique case. The golden flakes give this more of a copper feel, which I find to be very flattering, albeit edgy. Like the other studded kiss lipsticks, this one lasts a while and I was happy to see that the sparkles stayed, as well – but you definitely have to be very careful when applying this to avoid smearing of the glitter around the lips – as we all know, glitter isn’t exactly forgiving! Overall, very good quality and a truly unique shade. This one is also very, very good for layering.

I’m not sure about the shimmers in this line. I stumbled upon motorhead and instantly fell in love with it. Motorhead in particular usually gets pretty bad reviews for going on patchy, but it worked wonders for me and is why I decided to get more lippies from this line. This time, after google- I fell in love with Gothica, Poe and wonder child. They had amazing reviews and photos to boot.
My experience however is very different – I’m not a fan… The shimmer is overpowering and even with a liner, ends up everywhere in the near vicinity of my mouth. I’ve actually threatened my husband with shimmery kisses.
Im going to play with this a little more because I feel like there has to be more to this lippie than I’m realizing.
I’ll update if things turn around.
UPDATE ****
Things turned around :). Turns out I needed to fully commit to wearing make up and not just wearing a light powder and these shimmery lipsticks. I’m sure this look works for some women but it wasn’t for me. Anywho – lining lips and making sure they are smooth before application was key for me.
Gothica has a lovely bronze shimmer and for me I mix it with motorhead to get this stunning vampy shimmer.
Wonderchild is also a current fav as it seems to be tinged blueish which is different from my other purple lipsticks.
I’m still trying to figure out Poe- It’s such an amazing colour (this beautiful deeeeeeeeep navy) but I haven’t mastered wearing it yet but hope to.
****Update***
I figured out Poe and because of it I have opened myself to more non traditional colours – Really loving the beautiful tone that is Poe. Sometimes I’ll mix Poe with a light purple lip and get a pretty lighter blue colour.

This might be my new favorite next to Underage red studded kiss. I didn’t get to see it at the store because all we have in my area is a jcp with a Sephora corner. I saw a pic on instagram and fell in love! There are so many different pics on Google of this shade that I got worried it was going to be too dark or way to gold like the images on Google showed. Nope, it’s perfect! This shade is so hard to find but it’s a fantastic sparkly copper. You just have to see it in person to truly understand. I love the studded kiss lipsticks but I will usually agree they are a little bit pricey. However this color I would pay more for just because there really is nothing else like it. If there is a color that can be used on anyone for any occasion, this is it!

Besides the packaging being so cute, I love these lipsticks! I purchased the love craft shade for everyday use & I really love it & love the matte effect. And, it does last for a pretty long time. Definitely want to try other shades! xx

I am very impressed with this lipstick! To me it is a bronze-ish brown-ish copper color with the perfect amount of shimmer. When I pair it with my MAC Brick lip liner I get a great red coppery color that I love! But by itself it is just as great. You can put it on thin and get a softer look or put on a couple layers of it and have a stand out lip. I just really love this color! It wears really well, has great staying power, and doesn’t crumble off. My only concern is the price, but I’ve been using it for a few months and I can tell it will last a while. That’s the only reason I’m giving four stars. It is 21 dollars compared to my 16 dollar MAC lippies. Still great though! I might even prefer the texture… The packaging is also wonderful!!! Try it out!
