It’s a beautiful colour, but chips really quickly. I needed three coats to get a really even coverage. I tried it with my usual base and top coats that work well with other polishes. This one didn’t stand the test of time.

I love this colour and I have just bought a new bottle! The colour is very original, something between dark burgundy and dark golden brown, it is a velvety soft cosy type a colour. It goes a bit thick and the lasting power is not very impessive.

I first and last tried this color 3/2017 and was super disappointed. It pulls very dark brown on me after 2 coats (barely tinge of mauve) and applied streaky and clumpy. Hated it and the Essie brush.
Updating this review to add: if you want a dupe of this shade with a better formula, better brush, and the color runs more true purple mauve like you think it should– buy Sally Hansen’s Miracle Gel in shade Beet, Pray, Love. Absolute dupe and stays true to a purple mauve after 2 coats and drying vs. Angora Cardi that becomes so dark after 2 coats you think its blood brown. Looks a lot better in natural light than Angora. Love Beet Pray Love so much more!

Hi.. Love this color! This is the #1 color on Pinterest. I think this color would look beautiful on all skin tones and is probably my go to when I don’t know what other color to wear.

After seeing this shade pop up on my Pinterest feed and dismissing it, I decided I ought to give it a try. It’s a beautiful muted-pink/pinky-plum/mauve color that says “autumn” without being orange or brown. It’s much prettier than it sounds. I was worried the color might veer toward “old lady mauve” but there’s enough violet and brown tones to keep it fresh and modern-looking. The opaque cream applies smoothly and is opaque in two easy layers. The tips wear down a little quicker than my other Essie creams, after about 24 hours there was some noticeable wear (at least to me), but the polish held up well for four days until I took it off. I would buy this again.

I really like this color. I do find I need 3 coats to get a solid even look on my nails but that seems to be the norm for all the Essie polishes I own. It is a great deep dusty rose color. I love it for fall and winter however I have no problem using it year round. I top all my polishes with seche vite and get a good 4 days or so of wear. If I was actually proactive and did things like wear gloves while cleaning and washing dishes I’m sure it would last longer.

I cannot get enough of this one, and it is definitely in my top fives. It’s bold, but muted in the most subtle of ways. It’s versatile, classy, and very mature without being out of style. It looks excellent on pale hands and flatters both short and long nails.
As with most darker Essie polishes, the drying time is excellent. I would definitely recommend this one for anyone who likes browns, berries and muted off-reds.

A really nice darken pinkish mauve- like shade. It’s really beautiful, only requires one coat to be fully covered. It does apply more thickly like an OPI NP than the typical runny Essie NP. I’m not sure if Essie has changed the formula but I like the old formula as I hate a thick NP that takes forever to dry. Get it and love it. Great color for Fall.

It chips almost immediately, I went ahead and polished them all over again last night and I am at work today with chipped nails. I like the color, but not worth it

I had such high hopes for Essie Angora Cardi but I was left feeling rather underwhelmed. The colour in the bottle looks pretty, a deep dusky rose colour, but on my nails it pulls a bit darker and turns into a somewhat basic maroon-mauve colour, in some lights looking quite brown. It applied easily, opaque in one coat (though you should always wear two for extra strength) and dried quickly. The formula was very easy to work with. However, this polish seemed to chip very easily, much more than all of my other Essie polishes have. This was annoying and disappointing. The chipping issue, and the way the colour pulled on me, are my reasons for the low score.
