   I have used every ‘high end’ foundation but…This is AMAZING! My fine lines have disappeared and my pores too. I am absolutely amazed by the result of just applying with my fingers. Color-wise, I bought porcelain and it’s slightly warmer than my skin but gives a hint of healthy glowy look that I really like. I had been using either YSL or Dior but – This is now my forever base. I hope they never reformulate this!

   After the Chanel CC Cream in b10 (which I mixed with a dab of 20 to get a perfect hue) was discontinued in Poland, I was looking for a good natural-looking foundation.
   I don’t need full coverage make-up, but I want to soften the fine lines and even out my complexion a little – when I hit forty, my acne had magically gone away. So, hello good skin!
   I bought it in the lightest shade, Nude Porcelain, and it’s just perfect, actually this is the first foundation (of the ones that I’m not allergic to) that I don’t have to mix two of its shades to match my skin. It feels light, but it gives a decent level of coverage and is buildable from sheer to a strong medium. It doesn’t break me out and I know what I’m saying: I’m on the third tube of it.
   The consistency is creamy, not watery at all, and the very deilcate scent strangely reminds me of fresh dairy: yoghurt or buttermilk. Longevity is good, and I haven’t noticed any major oxidization. I never use a primer, but I always finish it with some pressed powder. It looks very good throughout the day. Yes, this is my HG foundation. The search is over.

   Evens your skin and hides dark circles, but magically, I look like I do not have foundation on!
   The one thing that could improve is perhaps the colour range. I have asian skin tone (yellow undertone) and I bought nude honey but it looks a bit too dark for me, but another lighter yellow undertone shade would be the lightest shade (nude porcelain) which I am sure would be too light for me.

   Might be a bit uneasy to blend as it has a rather thick, balmy texture, but it does not feel heavy on the skin.

   I’ve been endlessly searching for the perfect foundation for quite some time. You name it, I’ve tried it, but my needs have changed over time, thus my continuous search. I’m currently in search of a radiant natural looking medium coverage long lasting foundation that also matches my tone. Tall order to fill and I’ve gone through about 5 foundations recently with no end in sight. The best I’ve found so far is La Prairie Caviar Foundation, but it is not exactly natural looking. I found this foundation on my way out of Sephora one day and I was pleasantly surprised how good it looked with no prep and swiping haphazardly with my fingers. Beige 4 is the best match for my light to medium olive complexion. To soon to tell if this is the one, but it seems like a really beautiful natural foundation for general rotation at least.

   Update: I was about to return this one because I was auditioning other med to full coverage from $40 – $230 around the same time, but thankfully I tried it again and rediscovered why I purchased it in the first place. I have extremely expensive brushes, but this one looks best with finger application. Yes it oxidizes, but that’s a good thing because it provides more color/coverage that complements my tone and makes this much more than a lightweight BB cream. I would say this is a special foundation for those that never wear foundation and a great alternative (think travel/good skin day) for women who prefer Medium to Full coverage. I’m glad I didn’t return it, but I don’t see this lasting long.

   For Reference: 4 Natural Beige works best on my light to medium olive skin, I’ve been leaning more to medium lately but this is still perfect.

   This is the epitome of healthy glowy skin. It has good coverage but not full, just enough for your skin to peek through but also making you look naturally flawless at the same time. This DOES blur beautifully weather I use it with my beauty blender or Clarisonic foundation brush, and without a primer. It dewy but not sticky or oily looking. The texture it thick but blends beautifully and easily. I love this foundation! Although I would not recommend for oily skin, probably best suited for normal to dry.

   HG foundation/base. Here’s why:
   1. Texture- does exactly as it claims- blurs pores without looking heavy. It gives a nice light weight coverage. I CAN’T FEEL THIS ON MY FACE!

   2. Give EXCELLENT coverage for a beauty balm. It’s not heavy like a foundation, spread beautifully with finger tips, does a fantastic job evening out redness and tone imperfections.

   3. Wears exceptional under the eyes for good consistent coverage.

   4. Truly is hydrating. In trial run, I kept running my fingers across areas that have texture/pore issues (nose, cheeks). It wasn’t flaking or moving.

   5. Gives a natural, gorgeous luminosity that is VERY hard to find in a foundation/balm blend.

   6. In a side-by-side comparison to MAC FB (my HG everyday/control base) it had better coverage, more luminousity, deemphasized pores, and wore about the same time without a primer. And ironically even though coverage was thicker, it felt lighter/less… waxy than FB, which is a fairly watery formula in my opinion.

   7. Packaging. Travel friendly plastic bottle- won’t break or explode, easy to get product out, protected from light.

   Cons:
   1. $$$$$ this truly is worthy every penny in my opinion, though.

   2. The color will oxidize. It’s less noticeable on face, where #1 Porcelain was a near perfect match. It was blending it down to my neck that I could see it. So while you can slap-on-and-go on your face, I really recommend buffing it down neck.

   A great product for those of us who want a little coverage, but not a lot – great for blurring and evening things out, without the feel of full-on foundation. The product slides on easily with the fingers and stays put for most of the day, thanks to the silicone content – in theory you could set it with powder, but unless it’s very hot or humid, you’re unlikely to need this.

   Ideally I’d prefer the SPF content to be higher than factor 15, as you can’t really wear a separate sunscreen under a silicone-based product without everything peeling off. The shade range needs to be far more diverse and cater to darker skins, and it’s a little on the expensive side for a product used every day (and so runs out fairly quickly). However it’s an excellent formulation and texture.

   This is my favourite option when my skin needs a bit more coverage, which is most of the time nowadays (thanks, pigmentation. Especially the little mark above my lips that makes me look a lot more fascist than I’d ever like). It doesn’t settle into my pores, it doesn’t seem to dry out on my skin and at the end of the day it often looks as if I’ve gone makeup free but my skin still looks a hell of a lot more even-toned than if I were actually makeup free. Genius. My only issue is that the colour range is very limited and most of the time I’m between shades but I like it so much that I’ll happily mix and match – it’d just be nicer if Givenchy would do that for me 🙂

   I hate returning cosmetics. Yet I rarely have the opportunity to try before I buy, so it happens. With this one, I stalked YT looking for reviews. I asked questions about it, but mostly because I was concerned about the fragrance. The fragrance was actually not noticeable or irritating to my skin. But my Sephora doesn’t carry Givenchy. Then I was in a more upscale Sephora, and there it was. I showed the color options to my husband, and he thought 2 Nude Shell was too light and too pink (I’m an NW15). Numbers 3 and 4 were too dark and too orange, and 1 was too light and too orange. So an SA made up a sample of #2 for me. It is so pink and so light it is almost funny. If you told me there was calamine lotion in the sample container, I would believe it. The coverage is nonexistent. I just looked. . .light pink. It doesn’t blur anything from what I could see, and it definitely didn’t fill in my pores. I was an oily, pink mess all day, and then after 6 hours, it was gone. When I used a makeup wipe in the evening, there was no foundation on it at all. For $43 for 1 oz, I was expecting. . .something.

    I’ve been circling this product at Sephora for quite some time. For approximately $43 (USD), it’s not exactly a foundation you would casually dump into your basket. However, I am currently in love with most of the Tient Couture line and I’ve been looking for a lighter coverage foundation for everyday use.

    First off, let me just say I’m a sucker for great packaging. I’m often distracted by pretty bottles and fancy logos, which is how I Givenchy ended up in my makeup bag. Givenchy’s packaging has always been a bit modern and I can’t help but feel a little classy when I whip out their compacts or lipsticks for a touch up. However, the Tient Couture Blurring Balm packaging leaves a bit to be desired here (which is one of the reasons I took so long to purchase). Maybe they’re trying to conjure feelings of carefree summer days by using packaging reminiscent of sunblock tubes? Perhaps. What happened to the signature black and silver bottles? The leather clad casings? Maybe I’m expecting too much from a $43 balm from a reputable fashion house? While it’s not as elegant as their compacts or lipsticks, the tube is travel friendly and functional so I can’t really complain too much.

    As far as coverage goes, it’s a balm so the coverage is lighter than traditional foundations (as expected). The consistency is thick and clings to your skin (think slightly thicker than a tinted moisturizer). I found it easier to use my fingers instead of sponges or brushes to ensure even coverage. Once the balm was applied, my skin did seem more hydrated throughout the day, as compared to using my other traditional foundations, and the coverage lasted all day. My skin appeared dewy for the first 4 hours of the day but, as the day wore on, my face became oilier than usual in the T-Zone. Also, as with most Givenchy products, this balm has a nice, but strong, floral scent, so sensitive noses should proceed with caution. Finally, as far as protection, the Tient Couture Balm contains SPF 15, which really is not much protection (better than none, I guess) so I had to supplement it with my Shiseido Urban Environment Protector.

    One last note, I had a difficult time finding the right shade for my skin tone. I have used the Tient Couture Long Wearing foundation in Elegant Ginger and it matches beautifully. I tried Nude Ginger and it looked like my face was sprayed with Mystic Tan. I tried Nude Gold – way too yellow. Then I tried Nude Honey and my face was pinkish beige. I really wanted to keep this product so I managed to make the Nude Ginger work by using a very light hand and creative strobing but I feel like this defeats the purpose of the balm.

    Overall, I like the lightweight feel of the balm on my skin, the dewiness it imparts, and how long it lasted. Would I purchase this again? Only if Givenchy offered more shades and increased the SPF coverage. For now, I’ll stick with their Long Wearing Foundation and Estee Lauder’s Youth Infusing Makeup.
