I only use this as a blotting powder and not to set my makeup.
It’s in my handbag ready to dab away at my nose and cheeks when the shine hits my face in the late afternoon. And then it keeps the shine away for another couple of hours.
I would definitely recommend this over blotting papers.

I actually hit pan on this powder which is a first for me! It is finely milled and does a great job of blurring my pores and making my skin look smooth. I have dehydrated combo skin and this is one of the few powders that does not highlight my dry patches.
I take a sponge and lightly pat it on my skin. It is so finely milled that it may appear that you do not have anything on your brush or sponge but the powder is there! You need very little of it to blot and smooth your skin.

To anyone with medium/tan skin or darker skin: Do NOT buy this.
I have a medium skin (I’m usually any foundation shade with the word ‘Sand’ in it), and this powder is most definitely too light for me and leaves me with an obvious white cast. This is a problem I face with many other brands since they usually cater to fair caucasian skin, and Rihanna herself said this powder suits all skin tones, which is simply not true. It seems to suit her just fine though, so I have to say, I’m pretty confused…?
I have very oily skin as well, I usually have to blot my skin around 3-4 hours after I wash my face and apply makeup, and I usually blot around 3 times a day in a full 12 hour day. I find Invisimatte has less than average mattifying properties. I think this is formulated for those who maybe gets just a little shiny when out and about, not for those who truly have to combat oily skin.
The power also feels really dense and ‘packed in’ if that makes sense? Basically, it’s very hard to pick up a decent amount of product with a brush. I feel like I have to really work the brush and swirl it around and into the product multiple times to pick up anything. It might be due to this density, but I feel like the product does not apply evenly on the skin either. Definitely not a flawless or invisible finish.
Packaging is good, nice and sturdy so it’s good to carry in your makeup bag, but I’m personally not a fan of the white packaging because it takes only a few foundation finger print smudges to make it look like a mess.
I really wanted to like this product and was so impressed by Rihanna’s shade range in her other products, but I have tried many face powders out there to find one that will suit my warm/tanned very oily skin, and I don’t exaggerate when I say that this is is one of the worst face powders I have tried. I take no pleasure in saying that, cause you go Fenty Beauty, for showing the beauty industry that you can create good products with diversity in mind and be incredibly successful! Sadly, there aren’t many/almost no pros to this, but many cons. It is not invisible, nor particularly mattifying, and definitely does not live up it’s name.

Love the packaging with this powder and the optional magnetic brush that goes with it! So fresh and convenient for storing in your bag. Not sure the brush was worth the $30… but I loved the concept, and it is nice and portable so…
The powder is a packed white powder that swatches with a bit of a white cast. I don’t think it’s genuinely translucent, but I’m quite fair, so I can’t get a good idea of how chalky it looks on the skin.
I think there are better powders out there in terms of oil control and wear time, but the packaging just sold me D: I would repurchase.

The packaging on this is super cute. It folds over with a magnetic clasp and feels sturdy but not too heavy. I wish I liked the product more. I have oily skin and am always looking for products to blot away oil or prevent oiliness to begin with – and this did neither. Even on application it looked patchy. If you use too much, which eventually I did to try to get an even application, it leaves a white powdery layer on your skin. I think blotting papers are the way to go to get rid of oil throughout the day.

This is an oily girl essential! It gets rid of any oil/shine without looking cakey, or disrupting your foundation. My makeup looks almost exactly the same as when I’ve first applied, if not better. It also really takes down any oxidization. Even the applicator it comes with is works great and while the packaging is not super slim it’s not obnoxiously bulky. Remember this is only a blotting powder though, NOT a setting powder
