I have this Slick Stick in “Chantilly”. A pretty, sheer light pink… it’s a gloss IMO, feels really good over my lipstick, adds a different color effect…I prefer more color so I don’t wear it alone, I need color(have pale pink lips), but still pretty. Smells really good also…Cost about $4.50 comes in a slime black tube, with a pretty pink lace-like label..very girly : )

I just discovered Silk Naturals and I am very glad I did. I’ve been switching over to cruelty free products, organic when I can afford it, and SN is a veritable treasure in many ways! I have reviewed the other products from my mini-haul, all of which I truly love. The Slick Stick is probably the one item I’m on the fence about. The color, Tease, is a very pretty reddish pink with a hint of shimmer. The description of the color on the SN site seems accurate, as does the swatch picture. I generally don’t do shimmer makeup; I’m of an age when I can remember the horrible frosts/glitters of 70s makeup. I hated it then and hate it now. But times and formulas have changed!
I wanted something sheer with a little shimmer that I could add to other lip products for a little added dimension. This will certainly do the job! What I like about this brand is that, with the product description, it also lists the level of shimmer, color intensity and opacity. I bought 4 lip products and so far, the descriptions have been right on. Tease is a sheer color with a touch of shimmer and about medium intensity. Over bare lips it adds an enhanced, cool pink glow. Over another color, it adds a little subtle sparkle.
The main thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars, and why I probably would not purchase this particular formula again is that it is very very soft. It comes in a slim, twist-up tube, and I do like that. You just have to be very careful not to twist up much product; even light pressure on the lips causes the product to smash and smear over the sides. I think the product name, Slick Stick, is pretty accurate–it is like soft lip balm in a tube. You can’t really glide this over the lips because of how soft it is. I experimented and the best way I found to apply this is to dot it over my lips, then rub my lips together to blend the product over my lips, or else use my fingertip. This may or may not be a deal breaker for other people. It seems to be a pretty unique product: not solid like a lipstick, not liquid like a gloss, but somewhere in between. There is no fragrance that I can detect, it is comfortable on the lips, very moisturizing. Not to mention: very inexpensive!
