I have most of my negative reviews with the Paul Mitchell Moisture line and Super Charged Moisture is no exception. If you have read my reviews on the other Moisture line products, with the exception of Awapuhi Moisture Mist which is miracle (just read my upcoming review), none of them are positive. I give this product 1.5 put or 5 lipsticks. I know that’s not actual rating but it’s my rating for this product. Although I was disappointed in the Paul Mitchell Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner, Super Charged Moisture Treatment takes the cake on my disappointment in this line. (Like I have said in my other reviews, thank God for Paul Mitchell Lavender Mint Moisturizing) This ‘treatment’ did not achieve any of the anticipated results I was promised in my hands-on experience, product knowledge workbooks from school, and product knowledge downloads from Paul Mitchell Professional’s website. This product is supposedly formulated with some really great ingredients commonly used and used in other Paul Mitchell products to achieve moisture, shine boosting, elasticity improvement, such as Panthenol, Soy Proteins, and Vitamin E. I would assume with the moisture and elasticity improvements that this product would make detangling a breeze… Wrong! In school, I didn’t have much experience with this product as a moisture treatment to be honest. I used Awapuhi Wild Ginger Keratin Intensive Treatment paired with Keratriplex and/or Hydratriplex or Marula Oil Rare Oil Intensive Hair Masque for anything moisture and/or strength related. So, seeing as how I just started balayaging and color treated my daughter’s wavy, dryness-prone, frizzy hair, I decided to test this product out to experience for myself if this was going to be the miracle product to help with manageability of her tangly waves, moisturize her dry locks, help smooth and maintain the frizz. So, I ordered a full size bottle as this was all my distributor had at the time. I also ordered the matching Instant Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner and of course the Awapuhi Moisture Mist (which I already knew I loved). D-I-S-A-P-P-O-I-N-T-E-D! That’s right, I was disappointed in this product as well as the shampoo and conditioner. These products were not magical unicorn tears cried into a bottle to fix everything magically with my daughters hair challenges. Instead I feel like Super Charged Moisture Treatment left my daughter’s hair in the same dry state, if not drier and less manageable, harder to detangle, and just dry… did I say DRY? This product along with the shampoo and conditioner had a very chemical-like scent and didn’t even feel good while it was on the hair, not one bit. After, rinsing the treatment I had to go I with a ton of detangling spray in order to even get a detangling comb through her hair. And when it was dry it was just as frizzy and dry looking and feeling as usual. This product did absolutely nothing to help out. Thank goodness I tested it out at home before trying to introduce this product as my moisture treatment or moisture line period in my salon. I would have been unhappy with the outcome, my clients would have been unhappy with the results they were paying good money for and I would have been out the money for product that would go unused. It is with a heavy heart that I must say because I am a Paul Mitchell loyalist, don’t waste your money or time on these products. They are completely disappointing. As with all JPMS products, Super Charged Moisture Treatment is not ever tested on animals. So, you shouldn’t test these on animals either. 🙂

I thought this was very moisturizing and had good slip. My hair was very shiny after drying. My curls clumped together which is a good sign my hair absorbed it well. I also think it smells good. I remember using this a long time ago when my hair was color treated and am glad to return to it. It is decently priced.

I’m not that impressed with this conditioner. I purchased it because Ulta was out of my typical deep conditioner, Redken All Soft Heavy Cream. I don’t feel this conditioner provides as much moisture as even my daily conditioner. It’s also a smaller amount for the price. Will be going back to Redken once this is gone!

Well this does what a lot of moisturizers out there are supposed to do but really don’t – deliver moisture to the hair. My hair was in dire need of moisture (I have japanese straightening, highlights, dry hair in general). I kept getting these pricey treatments that literally did nothing, and in some cases made me drier and frizzy.
This stuff goes on nice and thick for a conditioner – it did not take a ton of it for my thick, past-mid-back hair. It combed through easily and rinsed with plenty of slip.
When my hair dried, it was the softest it had been in ages. I forgot what it was like to have hair like this. No frizz, plenty of shine, felt healthy. If I hold a hair straight out, normally it just sticks straight out like a stick, but this softened enough that it would curve and fall around my hand.
My hair for some reason gets CRISPIER the longer I go without washing. By day 3, it is a wiry mess. I am on day 3 now, and it is still soft as silk. Major difference.
The scent is barely there so can’t comment on that, the price is right IMO, and I will definitely be using this weekly at least.

I picked this up on a whim a few months ago b/c my hair was so dry and nothing could get it moisturized. I was out and figured that I would just put some on my dry hair while running errands. This stuff really worked well. I have dry highlighted hair and this def. moisturized very well. I think it is better as a daily condish. rather than a weekly deep condish. like the other reviewers have said. If you have more fine hair, this would work as a mask, but for the unruly coarse types, a great daily one. I have come back to it a number of times and it does add quite a bit of shine to my hair which I was surprised by. I have tried other supposed shine conditioners and they don’t give me more shine than this does. Overall, a great product and the only shampoo/conditioner that I like or use by Paul Mitchell (I use the super skinny serum for styling).

I really like this one…. it does not weigh my hair down. Now you have to know I have long hair, past half way. I only put conditioner on my hair from my neck down. I know it is to be used weekly as a deep moisturizing conditioner. But, I use it daily and it works just fine. I don’t know why I spent so many years using expensive salon and cheap grocery store brands that I hated. I have always loved Paul Mitchell… so here I will stay!

I am not a fan of this product. It left my hair dry and tangled. I’ve been having a really hard time finding decent hair products that are not tested on animals. Please let me know if you have any recs!

Well, my bottle is nearly empty and I figured it was a good time to review it. All I can say is this stuff is pretty darn good. It is a deep conditioner/hair mask, that you leave in your hair for 3-5 minutes once a week, in place of your normal conditioner. The smell is the slightest bit musky, but very faint. It is a semi-thick white cream. You only need about a quarter sized amount for your whole head at slightly longer than shoulder length hair. Once you rinse it out, you can tell your hair has been very moisturized. Doesn’t weigh the hair down, whatsoever. The only downside, hence the 4 instead of 5 lippies, is that it doesn’t moisturize more then a regular conditioner, so I use this as a daily conditioner instead of a hair mask/deep conditioner. Would I buy again? Yes, as a dailly conditioner, but not as weekly treatment.

I bought this product a couple of weeks ago when I was on holiday in the USA (its much cheaper there than the UK where I live). It may have been a mistake as I love it and will now have to buy it again (at the more expensive price!!!)
I have fine yet dry hair due to highlights and using my curling tongs too much! This product almost makes my hair look silky again! Its smells lovely too! I have been using it every second wash and its not making my hair greasy or dragging it down.
I think I’m hooked!!!! 😉

Another PM product I had high hopes for. This product just doesn’t work for me at all. In fact, it seems to do the opposite to my colored, normal hair type. It completely dries it out and I can hardly get a comb through my hair. I just threw it out tonight. Dove Moisturizing Serum Shampoo and Condition leaves me with better results for comparison purposes.
