I am usually so busy going on and on about my skin care prowess that I neglected to use a face mask, seriously it has been years. To give you an idea about my skincare routine I have been using Erno Laszlo pHelityl oil, then Sea-mud soap(forty splashes in hot ‘treatment’ water followed by Light Controlling Lotion(astringent)and then serum, maybe, and of course moisturizer and I’m thinking “aren’t I just swell”. Well not so much, then along comes Vichy clay mask sample packets and what a difference it made on my nose and chin, even though I am 60+(boy-oh-boy do I cringe when I see that number) I still get/have congestion in those two areas. I applied the mask very thickly and when I rinsed off my skin was glowing(could be from the small amount of menthol in the formula). The following day my nose developed two bulging red-soon-to-be pimples and I knew then and there that this mask has real drawing power. I followed up two days later with another dose of a thickly applied Vichy mask and my skin was glowing, so much so that I turned off the lights and was able to read with the overused ‘lit-from-within glow’ term that my skin radiated…well not quite but pretty darn close. I bought my jar on eBay for $10 and change and I think it is every bit as good as the one that I have used from Sisley.

Was scared at first cause my face had a bad burning reaction to Vichy Normaderm products a few years back, but this mask is unbelievable. It feels amazing on skin, burned a little at first and I was already armed with a washcloth to remove it but it wasn’t needed! Once the mask starts to dry it feels like a massage for your face. Washes off really easy too! Saw a difference after the first application, can’t wait to see the results in a month. From now on this is hands down my go to mask.

Great basic clay mask. Not amazing like some I’ve had before but does the trick! Calms my very sensitive skin, tightens it a bit and clears up clogged pores.

I use some type of clay mask 2-3 times a week to help with an oily T zone and large pores. I really do like this new mask by Vichy. I like the smooth texture of this mask and it does not dry out or irritate my skin. Instructions say to leave this on for only 3-5 minutes, but I like to leave it on for 10-15 minutes. After rinsing, my pores are definitely opened up and this does help to decrease my oily T zone area. Has a light fragrance. Contains glycerin, and the skin soothing agents of aloe vera and allantoin. The only clay mask I like better than this is the Freeman Charcoal + Black Sugar mud mask.

Once Vichy came out with their new facial mask trio I became interested. I have used Vichy’s products for years and years and they usually are nice, not HG-worthy, but nice. This one fits the category “high hopes and major disappointment”. It’s a really boring clay mask, it applies like a clay mask – rather thickly, but there are no grains or coarse clays. Rinses easily with plain water (as opposed to some clay masks that cling to skin). Has some slightly weird minty smell, but it’s unobtrusive. Vichy claims it works in 3-5 minutes and mattifies skin for up to 4 h, and skin is soft to touch with deeply cleaned pores without dried out skin. Well, it keeps the promise and doesn’t dry skin out like clay masks can, but after 2 weeks (that’s 4 applications) I saw no difference with my skin. Neither softer to touch, nor any difference with my pore purity. No unexpected break-outs or irritation either.

I am in love with this mask. I’ve been on a huge mask kick lately and am embarrassed at the number of masks I’ve purchased – both high end and low end. I picked this one up on the recommendation of a friend who is a makeup artist. She never steers me wrong. I love the texture of this mask. It makes me look forward to using it. And the results are great. After I wash it off I have radiant skin and it helps with any breakouts. It doesn’t work miracles but I think masks usually can’t. It does make a difference and I’d happily repurchase.

This masque is great! I like to use it after exfoliating and it picks up the remaining garbage and dead/flaky skin that’s leftover. I have bad reoccurring blackheads and this masque gets everything out. The price was great for the amount of product you get, I’ve barely dipped into the jar and I’ve had 5 full-face masks so far. I really love the smell too! It’s has nice hints of floral notes and is very soft in texture when you put it on your face. Will definitely be buying again when I run out.

I’ve been traveling in Europe for my summer vacation, and between the dry plane air, the scorching hot weather, and all the walking, my pores were clogged with sweat and dirt and my skin was very dehydrated. I started to get red bumps along both my lower cheeks and temples, and some on my forehead. I picked up two of Vichy’s new mineral masques (they just introduced 3 new masks: pore purifying; mineral quenching; and a peel) because they had travel pack sizes. I’ve been putting the pore purifying one on for 5-10 minutes and followed with the mineral quenching for about 20-30 minutes, and within two days of following this regime all my bumps were gone. Both masks leave your skin feeling cool and comforted after a day in the sun. The pore purifying mask’s ingredients feature kaolin, white clay and aloe, which has worked really well in making all my pores feel clearer and less red/irritated. I’m really glad I found these two masks and will probably go buy the full sized jars when I get home.
