I didn’t hate this, but I didn’t particularly enjoy it either. I got it as a gift and wouldn’t go out of my way to buy it.
It comes in a tub and the oils always separated from the exfoliants. I’d have to mix them back together and use a large amount of product to feel like it was doing anything. It smells nice and doesn’t leave any greasy film afterwards, but it really feels like I’m just rubbing salt all over my body. It’s a bit too harsh for me.

I’ve been faithful to Lush’s Rub rub rub body scrub for a very long time, but having fallen in love with other products from Ritual’s Sakura line, I had to give this a try. I couldn’t be happier with the result. My skin has gotten increasingly dry over the past year, and therefore every bit of extra moisture I can squeeze into my routine is welcome. This scrub is very effective, without being abrasive (as a sugar scrub, it’s a lot smoother than Rub rub rub, which is a sea salt scrub). Aside from the sugar, it’s also packed with loads of oils that my skin just drinks up. I’m in love with the feeling of my skin after using it, all smooth and nourished like it hasn’t been in a long time. The smell is one of the better floral scents I know – feminine, but no flower bomb. It is a little bit pricey, but it’s a product that I’m going to treat myself and my skin to for a long time, I’m sure.
+ Cruelty free
+ Vegan (according to correspondence with Rituals Sweden)
+ Organic sugar (and therefore no environmentally un-friendly plastic beads in this scrub)
+ Gives a good scrub, without being abrasive
+ Loads of oils that leaves skin feeling amazing
+ The newer packaging, white with a lid that looks like pink, brushed steel, is simply gorgeous
– Not travel friendly, as (at least my) packaging leaks oils

I have tried all the different body scrubs from Rituals and I love them all. They are very “scrubby” so if you prefer gentle body scrubs, you might not like them. I think they are fabulous though. They smell nice and the added oil makes my skin super soft and moisturised. The sugar gets rid of all the dead skin cells. You also get a fair amount of scub in the jar, so it’s a pretty good deal. I buy these sometimes as a treat, as I prefer to make my own sugar scrubs (to save money).
