Absolutely wonderful products. I started off with the 15 day free sample kit 2 years ago and haven’t looked back. My favorite products are the trio kit along with the exfoliating peel and eye repair treatment. With Riversol my skin seems to get better with age. And its not just me that thinks so. I have been getting many compliments from friends, family and even my husband. Also love that the products are made in Vancouver!

(See my update at the end of my review. I have been using the serum now for over a year)
I started using the Riversol sample pack for Rosacea after a Gemini laser treatment which left my skin very red and irritated (I have rosacean extremely sensitive skin). I didn’t use the serum right away as my skin was so sensitive, just the moisturizer. It’s a nice unscented creamy moisturizer (I got the normal-to-dry skin version) but I’m not fond of creams in a tub. Anyway, it is not heavy or greasy at all, and feels nice on the skin. I love that it’s unscented. After finishing the sample pack I thought I saw a slight improvement in my skin but wasn’t sure so I shelled out for the regular set ($218 Cdn) which includes cleanser, serum and moisturizer.
I feel like perhaps I was using the serum too often and it was irritating my skin, so I switched to every other day. Now my skin seems perhaps 10-20% improved from when I started using Riversol. This is no “miracle product” as I was hoping, but I know it takes a long time for some products to work (Metrocream, for example, took at least 6 weeks for me) so I’m going to give it another month or two, and I will update this review when I’m sure of the results.
UPDATE: Well I’ve now been using this product for over two months, and I still have the exact same amount of flushing, and at least 60% as many bumps and blemishes as I had before — meaning these products have performed no better than Metrocream for me (I’ve also used Rosacure by Neostrata, and Healthy Skin cream by Neutrogena with similar results). I won’t be repurchasing. In fact, the 20% percent improvement in my blemishes may be due to the twice-weekly red light therapy I do…
Not a bad product as just a cleanser/toner(serum)/moisturizer, but didn’t work well enough to justify the price. Personally I recommend ordering two sample packs if you need a longer trial period, rather than shelling out for the whole system like I did.
***UPDATE***
After running out of the Riversol cleanser and moisturizer, I used up the serum with my regular cleanser, and Neutrogena light moisturizing cream (which despite the name is very moisturizing). When I ran out of serum, I noticed I immediately started getting more blemishes. I had stopped doing my red-light therapy as it’s time consuming.
So I bought another bottle of the serum alone. I use two pumps at night on cleansed skin, and let it dry before putting on moisturizer. I have to say it really does reduce my blemishes and bumps by at least 90%. I think perhaps the Riversol moisturizer was too light for my dry skin and prevented the serum from being effective. I’ve now been using the serum for over a year. Also I think it was the Gemini treatment and not the serum that was irritating my skin initially, or the serum was too strong after the Gemini treatment.
Verdict: the serum alone is definitely worth purchasing, for me, as it lasts several months and reduces my blemishes considerably. If I have a stubborn blemish I put a tiny drop of the serum on it and it fades.
Does nothing for flushing and pores, for me, but perhaps over time the flushing will get less as it’s surely partly caused by the rosacea blemishes which irritate the skin. Yes, I’ve had similar reductions in blemishes by regular use of light therapy, but that is much more time consuming. I believe the serum is better than Metrocream as well, and the Metrocream was not moisturizing enough for me so the serum is better as I can use it under my regular moisturizer.
