   This is a lightweight moisturiser with an all synthetic broad spectrum SPF of 30, which means a minimum PPD of 10 due to EU regulations. It comes in a frosted plastic jar which isn’t ideal, but Beiersdorf have been around for a hundred years so I’m sure they know how to keep their products free from germs and microbes in the six months the jar should be used up in.

   To my knowledge the Hyaluron-Filler line was one of the first to incorporate hyaluronic acids of different molecular weight. They have the usual larger one that act as humectants on the surface, and a 40 times smaller one that penetrates a bit deeper and might encourage your inherent hyaluronic acid production.

   Eucerin claims this will “plump up the appearance of even the deepest wrinkles from the inside”. I don’t think hyaluronic acid can do that for a longer period of time, but after two weeks of use I’m still hoping.

   Because the light texture it could be difficult to apply the sufficient amount to warrant the labelled SPF, but I allways apply it in two layers, and even with reapplications during the day it never pills on me (which a few other Eucerin products have).

   One major gripe: the smell. The SMELL!
   A friend of mine thinks it smells lovely! I don’t really mind fragrance in skincare – even though it serves no purpose – but there is something truly hostile about the perfume in this. And it lingers. Even after double cleansing and layers of OTHER fragranced products.

   But I’ve been praying that my nose would be accustomed, or should I say bludgeoned into insentience, to it after continued use.
   And it has to some extent. I still think it’s ridiculous, but because it’s a product with decent SPF that poses no other concerns I will continue to buy and use it.
