I was watching an Evine Infomercial one night and there was a man named Dimitri James on talking about his skincare and cosmetics. There was a model present and when they moved from skincare to makeup, Dimitri showed a silver palette about the size of a pancake, divided into 5 trays. The trays each hold a different color correcting shade in cream form. I was really surprised at how creamy the shades looked and how they didn’t look too powdery or thin on the model.
The shades are lavender to correct sallowness, yellow for under-eye circles, a deep seafoam green to correct redness, a reddish/brown for dark spots and a deep peach for dark spots on lighter skin. The colors are creamy and rich. I apply them BEFORE my foundation step. I apply them with a clean beauty sponge and dab the different shades in the areas needing correction. They go on creamy and sort of dry down to a soft matte finish. They dry quickly.
Imo, the pallet is on the expensive side $39.00 US but you get a LOT of product in each tray. It has a snap open lid that shuts tightly – probably to prevent dry-out. If you powder after your foundation it should last for up to 10 hours. Not kidding. I checked in indoor and outdoor lighting. If you are on a budget, you might be able to save by checking Ebay or Poshmark, where I saw some for about $10.00. Instruction card included in the box. I just bought another one as a backup because I don’t want to run the risk of it being discontinued. It’s a workhorse, worth every penny and I love it.
