Chic Happens is from the Fall FW 2018 collection and it is still widely available today. The polish is a lilac tinged silver, with a metallic finish. Lots of other brands, including China Glaze themselves, already sell very similar shades, so I removed a lippie straight away.
The formula is on the thicker side, so it can be classed as a one coater – but I highly recommend wearing two thinner ones, as one coat barely lasts beyond one day on me, whereas two coats lends the shimmer more depth and wears for over double the length of time in comparison to one coat. The formula is smooth, self-leveling and it dries fast. The only niggle I have is that some of the brushstrokes don’t fade as the polish dries, so I highly reccomend wearing a glossy topcoat with this shade, to plump up the brushstrokes and bring the shimmer back out. That’s a common problem with metallic polishes in general through, not a issue with this particular one alone. I think that the shade is pretty and it makes a decent accent or stamping polish, and I’ll also get use out of it as a full mani polish during the Christmas/New year period. However I was a bit underwhelmed in general, as I have similar polishes that I don’t use regularly, so having another one is “meh”; the online swatches just looked different.
