Tried this in sheer formulation in a coral shade, I forget the name. At first I thought I had picked the wrong tube as it was not really sheer at all. The color was beautiful, though given that it was opaque it looked a little garish/old lady-ish. It also didn’t seem to apply evenly at all, looking patchy over my quite well-moisturized lips and continued to wear unevenly. Worse still, my lips got that telltale dried out feeling after a couple of minutes. I was expecting much more for what has to be one of the most expensive lipsticks out there. I will say that the packaging is absolutely gorgeous though.

I currently have shades Casablanca, True Coral, Pink Dust and Night Mauve. Wear time is short and maintenance is needed if wearing throughout the day. I find the lipsticks moisturizing and pigments good. Lip liner is a must do with these. My favorite color is Night Mauve, a mauve like pink. I love how they smell. I like them, but I think the 55 dollar price is too high and they’re not worth it. Chanel and Mac are just as good.

I have four shades of the Tom Ford lipsticks: Blush Nude (beautiful light nude pink) Paper Doll (the perfect light-lighter medium pink), and Casablanca (gorgeous deep reddish berry color on me). Love them all. These lipsticks are incredibly creamy, comfortable on the lips and make your lips look smooth. They are also highly pigmented so one swipe and your done. I would suggest trying the colors on in person and walking around or going outside in the sunlight to check the color, it took me a while to try a few colors to select my favorites in the end. Some colors look very similar in the tube, but very different on the lips. I would highly recommend these lipsticks though if you find a color you love- makes your lips look soft and lovely, and you feel like a fancy pants.

I have some 4 Tom Ford Lips & Boys and 1 regular matte lipstick (Age of Consent). 4 of 5 lipsticks that I have are matte and in good conditions, but the creamy one was rancid even though I haven’t used it. Doesn’t mean you can’t use it anymore, just the smell bothers me a lot.
My fave is Dominic (lips &boys series). One of the best red lipstick color that I have. Wish Tom Ford would make it on regular size. I would suggest people to buy TF matte finish. If you’re into creamy, satin finish don’t waste your money because it would go rancid after few months.

Goes rancid Separates on lips looks chalky (the paler colours), VERY drying (for me). Beautiful colours amazing packaging– but a waste of my $money$$!!

I’m so terrified mine are going to go rancid after reading some of the horror stories & I have a friend who had 3 go bad on her. The lady I got 1 is mine from eBay hadn’t heard of them going bad she claimed to have 2 which were over a year old (not that one i was buying) which were going strong. It’s stressful to think I have so much money tied up in products that could go rancid. I carry mine in my bag I have 4 total so they are climate controlled but these are my fave lipsticks I have Indian rose, vanilla suede, first time, & sable smoke. Literally like the best lipsticks I have ever tried. So creamy & the prettiest colors compared to drugstores clumsily boorish attempts to make a decent MLBB lipstick. I will never wear DS lipsticks no Bueno you can’t compare something $3 to something $53 apples to filet mignon! I *also* pledge I will never wear crappy lipsticks again. Et tu brüte? #winning

Cons: The product goes rancid quickly. Depending on how long the stock has been sitting in the store, it may already be near its lifeline when you purchase it.
Also, the packaging is very luxe but scratches easily when you bring it on the go, even in a makeup bag. You must be very careful with it or not worry about the fact that it can wear.
Pros: The colours are flattering. The formula works on my sensitive lips, which are picky. I do not need a balm before or after out of necessity (though I use the Laneige lip mask at night.)
I prefer the matte formula as mine seem to last longer than the regular cream/satin formula that has gone rancid on me so quickly already (Casablanca, I am looking at you!) First Time is still going strong for me. However, the most recent addition to my collection (cream) is Bradley, and that one still smells of vanilla. I am hoping to finish it before anything happens to it.
I almost prefer the Lip & Boy size, as the cost reflects the size as well and when I have a collection of over 400+ lip products (After purging, mind you). I also think the names are cute, but each to their own.

I used to have about 7 or 8 of his lipsticks, but binned all of them now as they are stunk after a while. Think the shortest one I had was about a year. And knowing that many who buy Tom Ford lipsticks are people who have 10 billion other lipsticks, 1 year is not enough time to get through a lipstick! I really liked the colours; pink dusk and paradiso were my favourite ones. They are slightly moisturizing and not super long lasting, but long lasting enough to make me happy. Probably around 4-5 hours? Though by that time you’re probably eating or drinking and will need to reapply anyway. The packaging feels very luxurious. The smell initially is like vanilla-ry sweet smell, but when it goes off, it smells a bit like wood? At first I wasn’t sure why they smelt like that, as I smelled some of the testers at the Tom Ford counter and they have a similar smell; but I couldn’t stand putting something that stunk so much on my lips! So in the bin they all went. For that price, its a shame they go off so fast. I’ve noticed that the matte colours tend to go off quicker than the others. I currently have too many other lipsticks to go through to just stick to one Tom Ford lipstick, so I won’t be buying these again.

I own the shade Pussycat and it is simply amazing. This is absolutely the best lipstick I own even though I feel slightly guilty every time I use it because of the price. It’s worth it if you’re looking to splurge. The packaging is sturdy and luxe, the lipstick has a light pleasant scent to it.

I own Velvet Cherry from the Lip Color Matte line. I love the color and the longevity of this shade. It’s a warm deep red that looks great day or night. I don’t find the formula uncomfortably matte, but it doesn’t feel hydrating either. To be honest, I prefer dry matte formulas, so I don’t mind when a lipstick is not creamy. Mine hasn’t gone rancid and I have had it for longer than a year, the same with Ruby Rush. Lucky I guess?
If you like the shade but don’t want to spend 50 plus dollars on a lipstick, I would recommend Studded Kiss from Mac. They are identical.
