im surprised on the rating of this product. this deserves more credit. it changed my life! not only did this product brightened my skin, it also treated my other pimples. it dried them while brightening my pigmentation. make sure to get the french formula though. here’s my in depth review along with other la roche posay products

I didn’t see any difference in my skin tone, but did irritate either. A little watery, but skin felt hydrated without any additional moisturizer. Way too expensive for that purpose. **UPDATE** I think it faded some pigmentation, not sure, as it was slight.

For me this product simply has too much alcohol. Alcohol is one of the first ingredients listed. Alcohol leaves my dry sensitive skin feeling dry and even a little irritated. My more detailed review video is below.

This product changed my life! my skin changed after giving birth. My face is screaming acne (its like connecting dots on my face),combination and super sensitive. A lot of pigmentations due to acne. This product diminished my dark spots ang brightened my skin. I also noticed that this product is drying my acne. I can not live without this product! Im actually desperate to get this since its not available in our country. Make sure the product you use is “made in france” since i find the us formula different. Highly recommended for sensitive skin!

horrible product. i didnt have too much pigmentaion before and now i have full face pigmentaion. and the worst thing is that i had ZERO pigmentaion in my hand and i put the rest of the serum that i used in my back hand and they also got pigmantion – and that is why i am sure that this product is horrible . now i stuck with new probleam and need to spent a lot of money to find a soltion to my new hand probleam!

Okay, I just received a sample of this for my pigmentated acne scars…I would of loved to use this as I swear by my HG effaclar purifying gel cleanser and I have no complaints about the effaclar duo or cicaplast cream. But this has a very strong fragrance. It basically smells like perfume. I do not see how this would be good for sensitive or acne prone skin. Was the strong fragrance necessary? I have a problem with la roche posay using alcohol and fragrance in some of their products.

As I enter my 40s, skin care is serious business for me. LRP products have been a godsend for some of my complicated skin issues and this Pigmentclar has been such a wonderful find for my eye area. It’s got a lovely texture and minimal smell, which I like for the eye area. It moisturizes and I feel that I awaken with my eyes looking bright and rested – a feat, even after a good night of sleep. Once of the aspects I really appreciate is that although it’s hydrating, it doesn’t encourage any acne or milia in our around my eye area. Having pre-dispositons to those things, I’m always keeping a close eye out (ha!) and have had zero issues.

I got a decent sized sample of this form a pharmacist who said its good for acne and I was really hoping it would work nicely because i love LRP products. I tried it on once on my chin where i had acne to test it out and as soon as i put it on, my skin started to burn, a lot. After a few seconds my skin was red like a tomato and burning the way my skin has burnt from hives. I immediately rewashed (not just rinsed), rewashed my chin area and let it air dry. I couldnt believe how irritated my skin was, i didnt put any cream back on. That area of my face was really dry and flakey for almost 2 weeks after even though i moisturize 2 times a day. Its a VERY strong acne treatment serum and i definitely dont recommend you use it if you have sensitive skin, even if its only a little bit sensitive on occasion. I cant say how effective the acne treatment for this stuff is but I can say i havent used the serum again and am going to throw out that sample and stick to using the effaclar line by LRP which works wonders and hasnt irritated my skin at all.

I had high hopes for this. In the very beginning, I definitely saw a difference, or thought I did: my skin looked brighter and more even. After around two months, thought, my dark spots hadn’t really improved.
I would have kept on using it if it wasn’t for the texture which I found too drying. I haven’t repurchased and am not likely to in the future.
