I was fairly excited by the idea of a pre-toweling moisturizer after hearing about it. It makes a ton of sense in theory, so I was looking forward to trying Jergens and in the meantime used plain old Cerave cream in a tub after a shower but before drying off, just to see if that would moisturize better than applying it the regular way.
Well, Cerave was a whole lot more effective and pleasant to use than Jergens. Jergens absorbed halfway fairly quickly, but left a sticky film that would not absorb or evaporate for literally hours. It was very unpleasant. I ran my fingers over the skin on my leg after two hours and could see an almost shimmering layer of grease on the fingertips. Despite all of that it also isn’t terribly moisturizing. My legs felt itchy after the first use the way dry skin feels. I also have KP and after several days of giving Jergens a fair try looked in the mirror and realized I could see red pores on my upper arm. They don’t look that noticeable even if I don’t moisturize at all, so this must have been irritating to boot. The scent in the argan oil version is fine, inoffensive, and the packaging is convenient, and definitely beats digging around a tub of cream with wet fingers. Overall though it’s a pass. I don’t even want to use up the bottle since there are better moisturizers out there that can be used on wet skin even if they aren’t advertised that way.

I have the coconut scented version of this. The coconut scent lingers all day. Easy to use, I do like the ideas of this product. It absorbs quickly into my skin and leaves it feeling hydrated. The down side for me is I would like this to have better ingredients. This contains mineral oil and paraben preservatives.

I had the coconut oil variety of this, and boy did it save my skin last winter. The only reason I haven’t repurchased it is because after watching a couple Dr. Dray videos on YouTube where she mentions they’re kind of a waste of money and you could just use whatever body lotion or cream you have in the same way, I did just that and found I liked it more. That said, it’s not a bad product and had I not run across that advice I would have absolutely repurchased this.

I have the Argan oil version of this which doesn’t appear online, so I’m wondering if it is a new version. I don’t suffer from terribly dry skin and I find this to be sufficiently moisturizing, but it probably wouldn’t be enough for someone with very dry skin which this bottle says it is designed for. It is very easy to apply and it keeps my skin soft and plump looking. I don’t towel dry afterwards, however. I will just apply it straight after I shower and then wear my robe as I finish the rest of my morning routine. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave my skin feeling sticky. Will buy again as it is excellent value, requires less lotion, and comparable quality to the Nivea body lotions I was purchasing before.

I love this stuff purely for the convenience. I have found it especially rewarding to use when I shower at the gym and don’t have the right environment or time for a full shower ritual. It saves so much time compared to moisturizing after towelling off, and uses a fraction of the product comparatively because it mixes with the water on your skin and spreads more. It does work to moisturize – I was skeptical at first. I wouldn’t say it’s HIGHLY moisturizing (so not the best for ultra dry skin), but it certainly moisturizes better than not using a moisturizer at all if you’re rushed for time. I’ve been using this as my sole body lotion for a few months now and haven’t had any issues with dry skin. I often get very dry due to lots of time spent in the sun. I haven’t had this problem. It isn’t greasy and doesn’t transfer to my towel. Very lightly scented. My only “complaint” is that it’s not very travel-friendly with the inability to turn the head so it cannot be compressed and leak in a bag, and it’s fairly bulky. Overall I liked the product and not only would I buy it again – I DID buy it again. I used the coconut oil version, for reference.

Had a coupon. My first experience with this type of product ( in shower lotion).
Bought to use at gym so I don’t have to moisturize outside of the shower.
I love Jergens products. Not this.
The slickness comes from the glycerin in the product. I did not feel my skin any better after using.
It reminds me of suntan lotion’s feel and it smells like it too.
I’m using it up because I don’t like throwing away money
I will be looking for another in shower product for the gym

I don’t “get” this. I use Nivea’s in shower lotion so I can rinse clean & slip into a fluffy robe to absorb my wet body instead of a towel. No patting going on to dry. I am using it up like a regula lotion it smells good & That’s ok Too I will keep using it up but I’ll stick w Nivea. Jergens is slightly cheaper than Nivea.

I actually LOVED this product had I not looked closer at the ingredients. I was a new user to this product (for about a week) and I loved how it made my skin glow right after showering. I decided to bring this along with me on my trip to Hawaii. Biggest misake! I still used sunscreen on top of this but because it contained mineral oil in the ingredients, it lead me to get an extremely bad reaction when facing a full day in the sun. I have prickly heat skin after use. Mineral oil is the cause of sun rashes and prickly heat. The mineral oil blocked my skin from breathing. I *NEVER* had this type of reaction when ever I use lotion underneath my sunscreen. I am very disappointed and now I’m suffering from this.
It’s fine to use if you plan to stay indoors but do not use this lotion if you’re planning on being outside all day. And yes, I put on suncreen (true to my SuperGoop SPF 50) and applied every hour.

I purchased 2-pack about 1 year ago and I really like it. Its a very light moisturizer, great for summer. I used it in the winter as well, but still used an additional moisturizer over it, as it is not enough for my skin in the winter. This does leave my skin silky smooth and I won’t be without it, its a staple in my shower.
