I bought this product bc Cate Blanchett uses it and she looks amazing, so why not..The first time I used it I really liked it. My skin felt clean and soft. For the past week I’ve been using the oil in the am and my Shiseido creaming cleanser at night (which I love). Unfortunately I started breaking out a few days ago and this is the only deviation in my skin care rountine. I hope this isn’t causing the breakouts. Everyone says cleansing oils are the way to go, especially for aging skin. I’m only 33 so I’m not aged but I’m big on preventative care. I’ll give this another week and see how we do.

This company really needs to improve its website and include better information for its customers, like proper usage and a list of ingredients. They just gave me this cleansing gel as a gift with purchase and I assumed it was used with a wet face, but it turned out not be the case. In any case, either way I’ve used it, I wasn’t impressed. And who really spends so much money on a first step cleanser when there are so many good first step cleansers at affordable prices?!

Moist the skin even after i wash my face. Deep cleansing and really calm my combination face. I love the texture. Should be in bottle pump packaging, easier to use especially for avid traveler like me

I have a combination skin that gets red very easily. I’m so used at a slight burning sensation after wiping my makeup off with any cleanser. I have tried numerous brands of makeup wipes, cleansing oil, cleansing milk, etc. All of them would leave me with either a tight feeling and redness or a very oily residue that wouldnt come off no matter how much I rinsed (that I hate even more).
My last discovery that I thought was going to be my holy grail cleanser was Estee Lauder Take It Away, cause it felt so light and gentle and didnt leave any annoying residue. However, it was so runny and thin so applying it with fingers directly took a lot of product. I had to use a dry cotton pad to apply and a dry cotton pad equals redness to me, but I was never not red after cleansing my face so I thought it was the best thing I could ever get. I was so wrong.
I ran out of it so I looked into my drawer and found this long ignored cleansing gel in a sample-sized jar. Texture was quite thick so unlike the Estee Lauder one I decided to use my fingers. It turned to oil immediately after I massaged it to my skin so I thought “oh this is gonna be one of those oily crap”. But boy oh boy did it remove my makeup oh so effortlessly–even my waterproof mascara. Well it did sting a little when it accidently got in my eyes. Anyway, now that I got dissolved makeup all over my face I was wondering what should I clean my face with. From my experience rinsing an oil cleanser with water is a nightmare to my combination skin. Cotton pads? My skin burns only by thinking about it. So I went old school: I ran hot water on a towel, squeezed, and wiped the dirty oily gel off my face with it. And I fell in love.
Never in my life has my face felt so great after cleansing. It is so clean, yet so moisturized, with NO REDNESS WHATSOEVER. No tight feeling, no oily residue. My skin looked so bright and glowy, not dull like it usually looks after washing. I was so stunned I couldnt keep touching my face while looking at the mirror. I repeat, I had never been not red after cleansing my face. But that was before this product.
So I went on using it thinking that I would empty the small jar in a few days, but actually it lasts for more than a couple of weeks now. I still admire how my skin looks everytime I use this, and find that applying with fingers and then hot water and towel is still the best way for my skin. After a while I find that my acne is almost completely gone, note that I’ve been struggling with it the last 5 months. The only thing changed was this cleanser, so it got me thinking that maybe I wasnt thorough enough when taking off my makeup before.
Honestly I think the price is worth it for the big jar considering how long this small jar lasts. Definitely buying the full size.

This is a really great makeup remover. I use it as an initial cleanse before going in with my SKII foaming cleanser at night to thoroughly remove all makeup. It is gentle, effective and leaves your skin really soft. I have experienced no irritation from this product, if anything I feel it soothes my combination skin and brings down redness. My only issue is the packaging. The pot comes without any spatula/ spoon device to scoop out the product which I think would become very unhygienic if a person was using their finger. I use disposable spatulas or a q-tip to scoop mine.

This product works very well on my skin type. It removes all of the dirt and make up gently with only a little drops of it. I don’t need to use a lot of it every time I need it. The product will slowly turns into oil after I massage it on my skin. but after I washed it, my skin feels so perfectly moist, neither too dry nor too oily. I have a combination skin type and from what the sales girl told me, this can be used in any type of skin. I am a little bit surprised that it is unscented because I thought that it will have a rosy smell. But it’s not really bother me though.
At first, I thought that it is too expensive for a single cleansing gel (around US$45). But it could last for 6 months or more and worked well on me so it is actually worth the money. It came in a 100 g/3.3 oz of jar (it’s actually a big jar) which could last for about 6 months since I only use it in the evening followed by another night treatment series. Also, I like the packaging, simple and exclusive. A little bit too much for travel though. But I used to re-fill the travel-size jar I had to make it simpler.
I will totally re-purchase it!

I received this as a gift from one of my BFF’s and was so excited to use this product as I have previously used a SK2 eye film treatment and loved it. Although I wouldn’t recommend this as an “all-over” gel cleanser, it is very effective in breaking up the foundation and eye makeup that is sitting on your face. I only use this when I have applied an extremely heavy layer of mascara and eyeshadow. It breaks ups the eye makeup so easily and I simply use a cotton pad to remove it. I primarily use this as an eye makeup remover and it has been extremely effective for me especially since I only use waterproof mascara everyday. I would definitely repurchase this product because it is so gentle even on the eye area and hasn’t caused any adverse reactions to my skin. I love it!

This is similar to their Cleansing Oil which is my HG in gel form.
Gets even the most waterproof eyeliner out. I think the with the gel form, I am more prone to use way too much product.
Going back to their Cleansing Oil.

I fall in love with this products after a second use. This is my first review after 6 years being a hidden member.
My skin is very sensitive and only Japanese products can work on me (I am asian). I gave SKii a try 2 weeks ago and I found FTE, Cellumination Essence and Cellumination Deep Surge work well with me (will comments in detail separately).
I bought this cleansing gel two days ago to replace my Seikisei perfect cleansing oil. Beforehand I used Fancel cleansing oil for more than 2 years. A few months ago, my skin became dull without reason. People keep asking did I use very dark bronzer over my face but I didn’t change any skin care or make up!
After I used this cleansing gel, my face becomes brighter and whiter, like it kills all dull and darknest I had these few months. My skin looks radiant, clear, and perfect now. No allergic reaction!

This product is meant to be a makeup remover. You apply this across your face, massage it gently then remove it with a damp cotton pad. It is oil-based, texture wise, a lil like Vaseline but softer.
I have to say that it effectively removes all traces of makeup (even waterproof mascaras YAy!). However, it takes some time for the make up to ‘dilute’, and can be a bit messy.
Initially while using it, i thought this was too oily. After sometime, i noticed that my skin is more moisturised, in the sense it does not usually get dry after cleansing.
however, for the PRICE……. you can easily get a drugstore makeup remover at a fraction of this price.
