If you do have an e/s obsession and want to experience a range with the best texture, this would fall into that category. I have accumulated several and don’t regret any. The colour combinations are lovely. One thing to note is that these can come off as sheer washes from a distance because of the tiny shimmer. It is intentional but this might put off those who like impact.
I prefer this to the old Shiseido ones (I know Shi owns CdP) which are beloved here. No primer needed for these.

Initially I was crestfallen when swatching rendered no pigment and only sparkles. It turned out they needed a couple of uses for the pigment to come out normally as they had been pressed too hard or something. Now I use them every day. They actually need the barest touch of the brush to give a lot of pigment. They need no primer, they blend, last, etc. Very flattering, harmonious colours (i have Stellar Gaze and Satin Moon as well as a duo in Grounded) and generally just foolproof. The sparkles are fine and pretty. These remind me of certain Dior shadows in texture (the ones with a ‘complex shimmer’)

These are the most perfect eyeshadow quads in the world. They’re too good to be true, and yet they do exist. They have the most unique and interesting and yet wearable colours, and every quad stands out from the crowd. The formula is more creamy than powdery and there is no fall out at all. Most of the shades are shimmery, but it’s so subtle and so elegant I know it will flatter all skin types, even mature skins. These eye shadows are so soft and so smooth they literally do your blending for you, and that on top of the translucent but easily buildable to opaque finish makes application so swift and effortless. You do not need a primer with these eyeshadows, for they show up perfectly on their own and they last forever regardless. I am a fan for life, and I will continue to collect these gorgeous quads for as long as they make them. They don’t sell these in my country, so I have to travel abroad to get them. Yes, they are that good.

I bought the august 2014 version. I have oily eyelids and normally the shadow will crease or run or fade away quite quickly especially during summer. However, this stayed on and didn’t for the whole day! It did fade a little bit, but the overall eye make up still look fabulous!

“You get what you pay for”
this case with the Cle De Peau eye shadows.
I am a HUGE makeup junkie!!! I follow lots of makeup gurus, and like makeup in general. I have tried the following brands and will review them.
-MAC EYE SHADOWS:
-Offers Nice, huge variety of GORGEOUS super easy to blend colors, but they never last more than a couple hours on me. even with primer underneath. ALSO, their eye shadows are always a HIT OR MISS, meaning that some have really BEAUTIFUL creamy texture (e.g. Satin Taupe!!!! HG), and a lot of them I found are CHALKY and CHEAP feeling and not true to color….. (e.g. Trax, Beauty Marked, Print) So, if you want to buy MAC eye shadows, I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend you try in the store first. I have to reapply.
BENEFIT CREASE LESS CREME SHADOWS:
-Gorgeous shadows! They work without primer!!!! Very easy, quick application. However, it’s better to use just as a single color on the lids, since it looks better IMO. I like mixing in at least 2 colors on my eyelids, so there is a flaw there…..However, once you apply they stay ALL DAY!!! no need to reapply at all. Also good for busy people who want something quick and easy with little skill 🙂 I love Skinny Jeans and Birthday Suit!
PHYSICIAN’S FORMULA – BAKED EYESHADOWS
-MY HOLY GRAIL DRUGSTORE PRODUCT. They come in 3 colors..I love BAKED OATMEAL AND BAKED SMOKES. I found this by accident when shopping in Walgreens…The colors are INTENSE and they last ALL DAY on me!!! Also, the colors are very easy to blend. If you are on a budget, I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS. People are always surprised that I use $7 eye shadows.
NYX SINGLE EYE SHADOWS:
Everyone says they are a cheap alternative to MAC. Yes, it offers very very good pigmentation, but they are VERY POWDERY which I hate. you also need a primer for them. Also, if you drop them on the floor, they crush in to million pieces…it has happened to me. So I won’t repurchase!
CLE DE PEAU QUAD EYESHADOWS
Finally for Cle De Peau….these are my most favorite eye shadows in the world…I tried on my mom’s eyeshadow and a few days later I bought my own. For one, they APPLY LIKE BUTTER (but not oily) They contain ingredients that are found in their super high end skin care products!!!!! They also blend SOOOO easily. ALL THE COLORS I HAVE TRIED BLEND SO WELL and it saves time in my makeup routine! Also, have you seen a gorgeous eyeshadow pan but didn’t look the same on your lids? Well, THESE ARE TRUE TO COLOR. all the colors I have tried look the same as in the pan. ALSO, if you need a primer to put on eye shadows, I realized it is NOT a good product. With the Cle de peau eyeshadows, I can go without primer and they last ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT. Yes, they cost $75.00 for four colors, but it is extremely worth it. The case is luxurious and super high end quality shadows. I almost don’t want to tell anyone about my HG but since I love makeupalley members I wanted to share with you guys! 🙂

the product i have is ombres couleurs quadri #13 (eye color quad). this palette consists of four beautiful colors: The base color is sheer golden color that looks very luxurious on the eyelids and makes the perfect base for day/night make up. the point color is a very unique orange/coppery color with beautiful shimmer. it truly is a very hard to find color. i have never tried orange on my eyes before but this doesn’t look overdone or cheap. the shading color is grey/brown/mossy color (similar to lancome’s erika but more grey) with again gold tone shimmer. the liner shade is deep rich charcoal brown. all four colors glides on smoothly but lasts all day. even without eye makeup primer it does not budge all day until i take them off at night. no other shadows were able to do that (except dior and shu uemura). the color delivery is excellent (what you see in the palette is what you get on your eyelids). although it is murderously expensive, you do get four beautiful colors in on palette with lasting power. i would love to try other colors from this collection. now that i have a set of shadows that is very versatile, i would like to try something different. any recommendations are welcome!

I have Eyeshadow Quads in #13 & 15 and I love them both so much.
# 13 contains the gorgeous combination of gold, brown and a coppery bronze color that go amazing together. Add the shimmery black as a liner and it looks fabulous.
#15 is beautiful purples and pinks that i find myself putting on time and time again.
These eyeshadows go on so smoothly and all i have to do is put on a little primer and they stay on all day.
Definitely a repurchase!!

I purchased #9 and I am really enjoying this. The colors are a gold metallic, a banana color as the highlighter, a pretty bronze brown that I use as the lid color and an eggplant that I use in the crease. It is velvety and it looks like second skin on. Cle de peau has beautiful eyeshadow. It is better than Chanel to me.

I have eyeshadow quad #7. Two words: mermaid eyes. OH my goodness, these colors are so beautiful together. Look I love: smoky teal all over the lid, an emerald green on the outer corner and crease, a slightly iridescent chocolate brown as liner, and a sunlit gold to lightly dust down the middle of the eyelid.
These apply more smoothly and evenly than ANY other eyeshadow, EVER. I always apply them wet for more intense color. I think the real genius may be in CdP’s color-pairings: the teal and emerald together make my blue-green eyes look fantastic, and I would have never dreamed up that combination. Plus they last longer than any other shadows I have ever tried (I have oily eyelids but these can last over 24 hours).
A high-quality product that is worth the splurge if you want your eyes to dazzle.

I got the Cle de Peau Eye Color Quad #4. Great for daily, office makeup! If I want the OOMMPPHH, I just apply more and build a smoky eye look.
Don’t be fooled by the tiny packaging. Great things come in small packages indeed!
Amazing quality, gives a very elegant look, I can’t believe I didn’t purchase cle de peau’s eyeshadows when I have been using and loving the cle de peau satine cream foundation and translucent loose & pressed powder.
No wonder why Cle de Peau Beaute is Shiseido’s top of the line cosmetics. Its quality is way and above any other cosmetics out in the market!
