Tatcha has beautiful packaging, and this lipstick is no exception, with a gorgeous white case and the gold Tatcha etched seal, and it closes with a satisfying click. I got this as part of a Tatcha mini lip haul, and I’m glad I tried it, but I wouldn’t run out to buy the full size.
On my moderately pigmented lips, it shows up as a somewhat pink hue with a faint blue undertone. It is a delicate semi-glossy, and thankfully not a porno-glossy finish.
Why am I not thrilled? Well, the colour doesn’t do much for me, given the slightly purple pigmentation of my lips. It might be beautiful on a lady with lighter, rosier lips, so you might like it, but try a sample before splurging on the hideously expensive full size.
It lasts about 4 hours, and does not dry out my lips, but it doesn’t plump them out either. I get better, long-lasting moisture from the Chantecaille lip gloss ( my faves are Fig and Glamour)

Bought this for myself for Christmas. It is a beautiful pink color, not matte and not super shiny. Perfect MLBB for me. Being of a certain age (cough 70) all the matte lipsticks are killers for me. The mattes make me look like death. I do find that this lipstick disappears pretty quickly and must be reapplied. Still would repurchase, but then I am an idiot.

Sunrise: A Plum Blossom is a plummy rose. This color falls under the “my lips but way way better” category. It’s easy to wear, goes with everything, and feels like a lip treatment more than a color product. The lipstick has no discernible scent or flavor, it isn’t sticky and nor is it dry. The finish is thankfully creamy, neither matte nor shiny, just a classic beautiful lipstick.
The faceted design of the bullet makes it easy to apply straight, without a brush. I find that a clear lip liner is helpful in keeping the shape crisp. Longevity is above average. It survives a drink and maybe even a snack, but eventually you’ll want to reapply. The elegant case makes it quite desirable. It’s ( heavy for its size) beautiful and because it is white the case stands out in a sea of black encased lipsticks, so that’s fun.
