After finally finishing a tube of Dr. Jart+ Premium BB, I have to admit, by the end, this wasn’t a great value for $40/tube, before tax. I might also be a little salty because the hardshell packaging made it impossible to get product out by the end. I even opened it up and tried to use a little metal spatula to get some final bits of cream out. Don’t even think about repeatedly clicking the pump or you might get a splash of BB on your clothes.
Coverage is on the sheer side, which I kind of liked for a single layer of quick-apply everyday natural makeup but you’ll need something different or extra for better blemish/redness coverage. As far as skincare benefits, it didn’t seem to make my skin particularly better or worse over the several months it took me to get through the tube. I suppose that could be a positive. Not sure if the SPF45 holds up with such light coverage. For the first few hours of the day, it looks like ~my skin, but better~. It applies well with a sponge or your fingers, but is streaky streaky streaky with a silicone makeup sponge.
The finish is slightly dewy. I have naturally oily skin, and my face still looked like an oil slick by the end of the day, unfortunately. The staying power isn’t there, but might be better on someone with drier skin. Additional foundation and setting spray help extend the wear, but it still doesn’t quite hold up. I’ll keep looking for my HG “natural” BB cream.

This was too light for my skin…like almost a white cast

Good light Med coverage, nice color for light/light med skin if you mix it. I mix the light-med #1 which has light but slightly gray tone to it and a 1/4 rahsio of the medium-deep #2 which is a nice lt tan beige color but slightly too dark by its self for me. This line runs light to med dark colors generally. I have a light (darker light) skin color with a slight yellow under tone with a small amount of sun spots sometimes when I am not up on addressing those pesky side effects from hot Florida. I am 58 with oily occasional troubled skin, slightly sensitive and with ever slight minor wrinkles. This is the only BB/CC/foundation I have EVER found that my skin feels better after wearing it all day. Never breaks me out or itch. Dr Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm, Wonderful feeling with a capital W. Most all others except Dr Jart+, Laura Geller and Purlisse BB cream irritate or build up oil on my face after wearing all day Korean type ingredients – oriental healthy skin care in it. 45 spf is wonderful bonus, best Ive found too! This BB cream has really nice heavier medium coverage that I didn’t need to mix in a heavier foundation. Semi-Matte not too shinny like so many others. This BB cream does not feel tacky or dry. It feels quite moisturizing which surprised me I never had one on my oily face that didn’t turn into a oil slick that started out this nice as far as moisture. I used my long standing fav Laura Geller Baked Balance n Brighten Fair to set it, light – light dusting as I don’t want any chance of slipping off my face in 90+ temp in hot Florida. Made it feel slightly dryer, just perfect and still no imperfections emphasized. Yea! LG is the only baked powder style “foundation” I’ve found that works on me to even out and finish without itching, emphasizing imperfections or clogging up my pores or increasing oil. It is slightly heavier then finishing powder so i have to use it with slight of hand to keep it light. I have never had it not work ever with any BB or CC cream. Using it with Dr Jart BB cream no problems, perfecto. I used to use Laura Geller skin Perfecting BB cream mixing in Take cover foundation to get a thicker coverage which never broke me out or got oily. But LG discontinued Take Cover I tired mixing her other liquid foundations but nothing worked out. Then I tried quite a palethera of foundations with not so good results. However Purlisse Perfect Glow BB cream I found was good contender, almost as nice as Dr Jart+ but more expensive and spf was 30 not the fabulous #45 of Dr Jart+. I did try Dr Jart+ BB creams Dis-a-pore SPF 30 which worked well but the Premium BB was the 100% winner! It just feels Good! I recommend trying it, a reasonable safe bet for any type skin and yes older skin.
As of 12/5/2018 Sephora website has a 40ml 1.5 oz hard tube for $39 retail. October on Amazon I purchased #1 for $38.95 and #2 for $31.

This can be drying on my skin if I don’t mix in a few drops of Marula or another facial oil with it. I have the light/medium shade which actually looks somewhat pink/grey when first pumped out of the tube but must have some self-adjusting pigments because it seems to blend in well enough that my skin doesn’t look ashy or different from my neck/chest. I do not need to powder on top of this but I do need to moisturize a lot before application. It has better coverage than most other BB creams I’ve tried and doesn’t break down over the day. Most often I find my chin and nose have redness peaking through but not while wearing this BB cream. It is a solid product, I only wish it was cruelty-free so I’m not sure if I will repurchase yet or not. I’d give this 4.5 out of 5 as it’s probably the best BB cream I’ve tried yet.

I had about given up on ever finding a B.B. cream due to my NC40 coloring. I’m Russian/Irish, and nave a strange, olive undertone. I love MAC face & body, but there’s no sunscreen, requiring an additional step.
I went out on a limb and ordered medium/deep, and it’s perfect. Sheer coverage, no breakouts, no highlighting dry patches. It’s quite thick, and spreads easily with a brush, drying to a transiently tacky finish. I dry my hair while this is setting, and it melds to the skin beautifully. I have dry skin, and set this with NYX mineral finishing powder. The odd thing is, I need very few touch ups with powder during the day-better than the MAC f&b. Plays well with my ochre Cle de Peau concealer. I will repurchase.

So…I did what I do best: I got myself not 1 but 2 samples of Dr Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm. First one was from last year at some point and the new one just came in the post yesterday!
Ok so the first one I used in between my Juice Beauty CC cream running out and the replacement tube arriving. It looked slightly chalky on me which is a first as Asian tones are often a good match for me. Not too noticeable though. It was also a lot heavier than I expected and made my skin look greasy in just a few hours after applying. This is definitely one for the drier skin types. I tried my sample tube twice and set it to one side…
…then I tried the newer version (the one where the parabens have gone and in come the Eucalyptus and citrus oils) and I could not use it for longer than one day. Why? Because my skin started itching and breaking out in small red patches that looked like hives. My skin is a bit sensitive so this could be why. I did give it to my mum (in her late 50’s with dry skin) to try and she had no issues with it at all.
Bottom line: if it’s the updated ingredients version you have your eyes on, then you may definitely want to ask for a sample tube first before investing in the actual full size product! For those who can still get the old version and were happy with it – go stock up quick before its gone!

I had to come here and write a review. I have used this for years and have loved it. I ran out and ordered a new one from Sephora. All of a sudden my skin was starting acting crazy. Irritated, stinging, redness. While trying to figure out what was going on I am putting on my trusty Dr. Jart B.B. and noticed a different smell to it and thought hmm maybe that’s it? I think I still got my box and low and behold the ingredients have changed. There are chemical sunscreens added now, all kinds of citrus oils! This is a no no for sensitive skin. I’m so pissed ???? why do they not let the consumer know when they change ingredients???? I have been struggling for a month now and dang it I’m mad. I guess from now I will be reading ingredients when I get a new supply hoping they don’t just change it all up without letting the consumer know!

Love love love! I’m 56 with sensitive dry skin. I was previously using It Cosmetics CC cream, but it sometimes looked too cakey. I use both colors, mix them to match my skin, and it gives great coverage (at least medium) and looks like my real skin. My skin is much less red since I’ve been using this, and the finish lasts all day. I love Dr Jart products!

shade was a deal breaker. got light to medium and it was pinkish gray. idk why the asian brands make their bb creams that odd tone….maybe it would look nice if you are super cool toned. i am neutral but i prefer a bit of yellow rather than pink to cancel redness on my face.

Great product for my dry skin. Provides light-medium coverage. I use the med-tan #2 shade and mix it with my w.lab whitening lotion to customize the perfect shade as the #1 shade is too light and #2 shade is too dark.
Gives me perfect looking skin. Looks natural and never cakey and I like that it is moisturising.
I believe it’s fragrance free which is a plus for sensitive skin.
