This is a moisturizer that’s been around for about 20 years and has changed packaging a few times. Now it’s in a deeper green jar. The scent is fresh and pleasant, the texture is also really nice. I hate the jar packaging though. Unsanitary and you end up using too much product (at least I do most of the time). I wish they would bring this back in a pump. It is hydrating though and ideal for combination skin types. My skin feels sticky after I use this, not the best feeling.

While i was at Sephora my eye fell right into a biotherm kit which included this moisturizer which i love and im going to buy the full size,a cleanser very creamy which made me skin still feel dirty,a toner nothing really special but ok and a serum which was pleasant but i didnt feel any difference. This cream achieved at making my flakey skin from RetinA calm and hydrated,i didnt have any breakouts or felt discomfort during the use. I dont like the packaging because a face cream must not be touched by hands. Now as for the price i think its expensive considering its just a moisturizer doesnt contain sunscreen or have antiaging properties. Overall after using it for a month now i can tell it really hydrates the skin and its not greasy it absorbs by the skin well and quick,i use it twice a day and i will continue using it.

I decided to swap out my “hippie” (as my friends call it) skin care routine (Lush’s almond cleanser & coconut oil) for some “grown up” skin care. I got this Aquasource gel moisturizer with the ‘deep serum’. This is marketed as the most ‘intensely hydrating’ skin care range out there so…why is my dry skin not hydrated at all? I don’t consider the silicone-sticky face as hydration. The shiny/plastic feeling is really unpleasant and within 2 minutes my face is just dry again. The only positive thing is the fact that after two weeks of use it does seem to be a bit more hydrating than when I started using it. But nowhere near enough! Why is this marketed as intense hydration? Beautiful packaging but just an expensive disapointment. Back to the plain old coconut oil for me.

This doesn’t do much apart from leaving your face sticky due to silicone in it- at first your skin feels smooth but it doesn’t moisturize enough. Also I find the scent to be too strong.

It was my first face cream years ago and overall I think it’s suitable for somebody who’s looking only for a hydrating product. With it’s silky lightweight consistency is excellent for normal/combo skin- it absorbs right away and works great as a makeup primer. It reminds me of Clinique’s Moisture Surge cream, but Aquasource contains fragrance- quite pleasant one, but I personally prefer unscented products. My skin reacts very well for ingredients such as algae or plankton extract so using this cream was a pleasant experience. But overall it’s only a basic moisturizer, nothing more.

This is the product that I use for exactly 2 years, actually I’m alternating the gel with the cream from the same range, Aquasource, and my skin got very lifted and hydrated now, without any wrinkles. I like its freshness smell, texture and finish, I also like its heavy packaging that makes it luxurious.

I am on my 6th jar of this moisturizer – one jar lasts 3-4 months of daily use. It is a lightweight, transparent gel that is very hydrating but soaks in and does not leave a greasy layer (unlike the dry skin and very dry skin versions of this line). It layers well with other products and sits perfectly under makeup. In fact, this works the best with silicone-based primers since it dries and soaks in so fast.
It’s hydrating, but not perfect for Winter dryness, so I only use this in the Spring/Summer months. It’s calming and doesn’t irritate my reactive red skin. (Update: It started reacting to my skin this year.) The scent is watery but definitely a distinct fragrance. It does not make my skin oily like other moisturizers. It’s soothing and it makes my skin feel like I’ve had an IV of fluids right to my face. (Update: This sensation has stopped. New formula?!)
However, I feel like the formula has changed and I’m beginning to fall out of love. The last jar I purchased to be more cream-like, it feels less hydrating, and the price has gone up from $35 to $49 Canadian. I will continue to use up my current jar, but I will be switching to G.M. Collin HydraMucine Optimal.

Previously have used a different biotherm moisturizer and it worked wonders. Saw this product and have used up 2 jar so far, it did not improve my patchy and dry skin at all. I love this product, but it just doesn’t work for me. It gets super oily on humid days (it kind of burn the patchy area at time, odd).

The face moisturizer is amazing and it greatly improved my skin. I went a long time before repurchasing because it is quite expensive. However, a lot of supermarket-bought products and quite a bit of acne, I realised that you really do get what you pay for, so I went back to this product, and my skin improved again.
The only drawback in packaging is that I once bought the pump version, I let it drop and the pump stopped working. I had to take the pump piece off every time I wanted to use the product. I solved this problem by sticking with the jar version, which is perfect for me.

I have re-purchase this product many times. I have tried a lot of moisturizer creams and find them either too thick/stick for my combination to oily skin. I prefer gel texture moisturizer. I have tried a couple of gel moisturizer from department stores but I find the fragrance irritates my sensitive skin a lot.
PROS:
– light pleasant smell
– gel texture /blends easily and absorbs well.
– it is not thick, sticky or feel like it’s sitting on top
– great for combination to oily skin
– does not irritate my super sensitive skin prone to redness/irritation
– LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PRODUCT!
CONS:
– the jar is quite heavy and bulky/not travel friendly
