An extremely mild serum-like product that contains very few ingredients. It basically gives your skin some moisture without the additional improvement of any kind, pretty simple and utilitarian. Tried layering it with other products and it never caused any irritation/breakout, nor any skin improvement. Wouldn’t repurchase.

I didn’t find this essence to help much with hydrating my skin and I think it broke me out. I’m glad I had a sample and didn’t purchase this product.

This was ok. It didn’t irritate my skin or cause a breakout, but it didn’t moisturize either. Even though my skin is combination/oily, it felt dry a few hours after using this in place of my regular serum (SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF). There wasn’t much improvement when I’d use over the serum. Also, even though it calls itself an “essence” this was the texture of a thick serum, so I’d put it on after my regular essence (SK-II Facial Treatment Essence). This wasn’t worth the price for it to do nothing, good or bad.

Light watery texture. Refreshing light scent.
I can’t use anything lighter than this or it will dry out my skin.
This is like the first step of my skincare routine instead of toner.
Moisturizing but need to use other steps fast to seal it or it will be gone right away.
Expensive but will repurchase it forever. This is a must. Buy this right away !!
Even very oily skin types can use this as a light weight essence.
Anyone can use this.

Frankly speaking I didn’t expect much from it initially due to its ultra light watery texture but was pleasantly surprised that it does keep my skin looking plumper for longer even after a very long day at work. Perfect for people with oily yet dehydrated skins.

Just finished a deluxe sample of this essence. Definitely more viscous than other essence products, but like others commented I feel it allow easier application. I apply this in a patting motion after toning. Works well with my current PM skin regimen. I find it adds just enough hydration after toning with Pixi glow tonic. Did not cause any new breakouts with my acne prone skin. I have oily T zone combination skin type.

I got a deluxe sample of this with a Sephora order. It’s nice, and slightly more viscous than most essences, which makes it easier to apply. But at the end of the day, essences don’t really have a role in my skincare routine, and this one did nothing to change my mind.

This is very nice however very pricey and not needed in my skin
care routine
I have dry sensitive skin
I layer facial cold pressed oils that I buy cheap (EBAY), with a
facial cream, followed by my HG Hyaluronic Acid patted into my face
and body
I think the hungarian water is supposed to be similar to my
Hyaluronic Acid serum but it is not
My hyaluronic acid serum holds 1000X its weight in water
and really keeps my skin hydrated
I buy Hyaluronic acid serum in bulk and suggest you do same
if you have dry skin or need a moisture boost for winter or general
dryness

This has totally helped with my peeling from starting retin a again. I found that retinoids work best on my skin but in the beginning I peel and if I can minimize it I’m super happy. I keep getting delux samples of this essence. I love Asain skincare and use lotions and essences everyday. Since what this is meant to do is help draw moisture into the skin once you apply products over it my skin hasn’t flaked at all. I also use the Aqua bomb and moisture bomb too. I use Hada Labo Gokiyun lotion first then the Hungarian water after then I apply my serums and moisturizers. For me this product really helps keep the flaking to a minimum and I use 1% retin a too.
I think I would buy it though there are cheaper products out there I do like this company a lot. I really love this Aqua line and it works so well for my combination skin. I have not broken out either and my makeup goes on no problem when I use this.

I love this product, I’m so skeptical of anything moisturizing because I have extremely oily skin (oil spots on t-zone 1 hour after salicylic acid scrub) but still have dry patches on the outer cheeks. Most moisturizers seem to just sit on top of the skin and not really absorb. This is just enough to plump and smooth without any residue, my skin looked instantly better. No obnoxious scent. Absorbs right away. I will definitely continue to use this product even at its higher price. The pump squirts out more than I need (probably meant for the whole face) and it’s a little hard to control, but I just smooth the excess on my neck. Works great under makeup.
