Oh Lip Lava where do I begin, firstly, I own all the shades as I purchased them in a Lot. The colors were so Captivating, I couldn’t resist. Let’s Start with the Scent, it is Very Subtle which I Like. I will go right in, the formula is perfect and Not at all Sticky for a Gloss, the Colors are AMAZING With a Capitol A, Glitter and Highly Metallic if you are looking for high shine. The ONLY quirk I have is the Applicator. It is like a thin Spatula Bristle Brush that takes a few applications to fully cover your lips. These even work great as a Lip Topper after Applying Matte Liquid Lipstick. I just prefer a different applicator in my Glosses. Once applied, the color payoff is amazing. I love the Glittery Shine. Because it is a Lipgloss, it does need to be reapplied and doesn’t last long, no biggie, I don’t mind Reapplying. I read these are discontinued so if you can find them, grab some, you won’t be disappointed. So Obsessed with these Shades! BOOSGLOSS APPROVED!

I’ve bought three of these at different price points, most recently snagged one at TJ Maxx for $1.50 since they have been D/C. These are actually highly pigmented and very, very shimmery. Unlike many glosses, the base gloss is true to tube on the lips. They don’t feel sticky, thick, or annoying, but the glitter does tend to stick to the lips as the gloss fades. I wish they were permanent or more glosses were this pigmented and pretty.
Lava Glow- A true gold gloss with gold glitters. Very pigmented and pretty on the lips, especially dabbed in the center or over red lip color. This is more pigmented than W’n’W gold gloss, and more wearable than the new Tarte lip paints.
Lychee Lava- A light red gloss with with orange shift glitters. This one has a tendency to move the most on my lips, but I find that happens with HE red glosses too.
Ooh La Lava- A beautiful bright pink gloss with blue shift glitters. On my lips it can look pink or more fuschia depending on the light. It’s the most wearable and my favorite of the three.

I believe this is discontinued. I remember seeing these in the drugstore not that long ago. I thought the colors were very striking but the price was too high and I’m not really a lipgloss person. They were easy to pass up.
Last week I was in my local Big Lots and they had a bunch of the Lip Lava shades on sale for $2.80. For that price, I couldn’t resist. I picked up two colors thinking I would pass them on if they were terrible. Turns out, I think they’re pretty good! I would consider them more of a liquid lipstick than a gloss. Colors are saturated and while thick, I don’t find the texture too sticky. They last a good 4-5 hours on me and wear is improved with a base of lipliner.
These really fit in with the whole unicorn/mermaid makeup trend. They are very shimmery/glittery and bright. Definitely wear if you want to be noticed! They might look odd in bright sunlight but are lovely in natural light and particularly for evening looks. I’m going to see if I can find some more shades!

I own the shade “Mauva Lava” and this has to be the stickiest lip gloss/lip lacquer I’ve ever worn. They escape the lip line really easily and it’s hard to manage it. You might be able to make these work with a lipliner, but I wouldn’t fuss with it. Not worth the $8 price tag.
