I really like this mascara very much. The review above gives it 3 out of 5 for expense. So not. I only paid $13+ on Amazon for it. Some vloggers give you a code for 10% off the website which made it less but I have prime and so on. I think that’s how I first heard of Marcelle, I’m sure of it. I’m not much of a makeup video watcher but I like Wayne Goss, he is the very best, and then sometimes Jefreestar(?). But I might catch a video every 4 months or so. My daughter has been buying Macelle, too.
As for Marcelle mascara, I’ve bought it at least 4 times (It would be more but I’m a mascara freak. I also prefer to buy sample sizes on ebay when possible, e.g. Stila Huge or Lancome, not definicils). It is THE BEST VALUE for mascara. It works out to maybe $5 and they last as almost as long as a full size mascara, in my opinion, because it contains a hefty amount of product. I like the control I get with a small wand.
The price point this site assigned to this mascara is ridiculous, 3 out of 5 lipstick dollars. What is the world corresponds to a price for one lipstick dollar? I’d actually pay a bit more but if it was much more I’d go to Lancome. I think Lancome Hypnose mascara is the best, number one mascara out there. They have maybe one new one I haven’t tried but it really can’t be much better than the Hypnose Drama. The volume Marcelle contains a lot of product, I think it has it on the box. It lasts forever and I don’t keep mascara that starts to seem dry – hate that!
The drugstore Maybelline that comes in the pink and green color – I think it is such a big rip off for a totally inferior product. I have my ideas about why someone actually buys it. I think the inexperienced or uninformed buy it because they see it being used on TV by makeup artists and it’s easily remembered because of its pink and green colors oh, it’s in the supermarket for convenience. You know all those makeup people need to trash the mascara’s they’ve used on each individual so it only has to last one makeup session, Surely the artists get a royalty and more, they likely get them free, and so on. The mascara has to be thrown out because you can’t use the same mascara on one person and then use it again on another person. That could cause eye infections and such. I’m certain it’s a health code issue not to mention open to lawsuits. Pencils can be sharpened like new and lipstick wiped off (not the liquid wand lipsticks which need to get tossed too.
Anyhow, try a Marcelle mascara, you’re only risking $13 plus tax. I know this review is not well-organized proving I rarely write them. But a really good product deserves recognition; it’s kudos!!

I purchased the waterproof version in black from Shoppers Drug Mart in Toronto. The product was not on sale and was on the high end of price for a drugstore mascara. I had decent hopes for it, a) because Marcelle known to have a good reputation for sensitivities, and b) because the Shoppers” cosmetician recommended their mascaras. I was ultimately let down primarily because the mascara smudged and flaked on me within an hour. This is even though I used setting powder, powder eyeshadows and eyelid primer. Then again, I’ve only ever found about three (3) mascaras that have ever worked with my Asian, monolid eyes and short, straight lashes. This was definitely not one of them. I won’t be purchasing this again.

Marcelle is a Canadian brand based out of Montreal. It’s the parent company to Annabelle cosmetics which is marketed towards a younger age group at a cheaper price. That being said, this mascara is IDENTICAL to Annabelle Le Big Show mascara. It has the exact same ingredients, tube and brush. It’s essentially the same mascara. So if you like this mascara save yourself a couple bucks and Le Big Show.
I own both and they deliver nice volume but a little smudgy.

Marcelle is a cruelty free Canadian company. I purchased this mascara for $13 at Shoppers Drug Mart.
I’m not really sure what’s going on. My mascara says Ultimate Power Volume but I can’t find a mascara by that name on the Marcelle or Beauty Boutique website so I’m going to put my review here. I’ll upload a picture of the regular Power Volume mascara, and honestly I think the wand looks the same? The packaging is just different.
Anyways! I really like this mascara. I usually have a problem with mascaras smudging under my eyes (I’ve tried essence, joe fresh, benefit, and they’ve all done it) but this one doesn’t! This could also be because I’ve switched to a powder foundation, though.
However, this can be a bit finicky! I have to be careful with how I apply it or I can get spiderweb lashes. I tilt my head and look up with my eyes while applying this and slightly zig zag the wand. It does what it says, in my opinion. It volumizes my lashes and gives a very pretty effect. It also holds a curl well!
I will likely buy again in the future, but I do want to try out some other Marcelle mascaras as well!

I’ve been on a mission to find a quality cruelty free mascara that performs. This is Canadian made and has added benefit of being hypoallergenic so it’s totally non-irritating.
This mascara is just ok. I liked it at first, but by the time I’d had it for two weeks and used a dozen times I found it clumped. Two coats gets me great volume. Colour is very black. And no smudging or flaking by end of day. But the formula clumps and it makes application messy, leaving residue which can move to the eye. It’s not the greatest formula.
I’ll see how long it lasts for in the tube, the formula isn’t super wet (which I love, more volume and no weighing down the curl).

This mascara is very black and looks dramatic without being clumpy. I like this very much however it dries up soooo quickly in the tube! Lasted me only about a month and a half before it started flaking in clumps off the wand.
PROS:
– Truly black
– Volumizing
– Good price
– Thick wand but easy to use
CONS:
– Flakes throughout the day
– Dries up quickly in the tube
– Did not get to use all of it

I stumbled upon this in November 2015 when Shoppers Drug Mart had it on a 2 for 1 deal. I figured $11.99 for two tubes of mascara was a great deal, even if I hated it, so off I went to the cashier. LOVE.THIS.STUFF. Prior to this I was using Annabelle’s Le Big Show, another great, Canadian made, reasonably priced mascara…but I had to switch because it was always flaking and giving me icky eye goobers. That never happens with this stuff. It gives me nice volume, is buildable without being clumpy, and doesn’t migrate throughout the day. Love that it’s made in Canada, too (and by a company that doesn’t torture animals). HG!
