Purchased Trublend in banana, hoping for a Ben Nye dupe at drugstore price.
Nope.
It’s chalky. Glittery.
And the glitter? It’s not a fine “sheen” – it’s more like grade school art project glitter.

i stopped using this product awhile ago because the one i had gotten was too dark for my skin despite being “fair”. it looked unnatural and didnt work well at all for my skin. in order to be able to use it i had to use extremely little so it wouldnt showup on my skin. it was too warm of an undertone for me and the shade was more of a Light or medium then fair. the packaging was also terrible, the powder literally got everywhere and was very messy to open. i cannot recommend this product to anyone and i dont really have any reason to recommend it to anyone.just please return it for a refund for the same issue i reported.
Rated 4 out of 5 by DivineK. from Fair and Brilliant! This product (as promised) is pure and radiant… Fair and Brilliant! This product (as promised) is pure and radiant. It provides an incredibly nice long lasting feeling. This product certainly lasts longer with minimal use. The feature of this product is, unlike many sunscreen filters that use tiny particles of water, this water does provide the desired exfoliation. The fact is, the product was advertised as having more pigment than product with an equal amount of nutrients. Not all formulations are created equal, some are optimized for specific needs, some will be more powerful and others just make things more difficult for you to use. This can not be the case with what i have used and like in other products like this, but i’m still impressed by what this product does! I actually had to leave the regimen a little bit longer when the product started to get cloudy due to fog but when the product started to set a little more fine it immediately disappeared. Of course I am really disappointed in the product as this cleanser has started to flake out. It lasted all day. I will probably never use this product again.

I got this product in hopes that I could use it as a facepowder for my oily skin. First of all, it’s literally just glitter. Second, I got medium and it makes my face look caked and dirty. I feel caked and dirty!
Worst of all, I put it on with my usual morning routine and when I got to work an hour later it was like crusting off of my face. Not in a dry skin way or a crackly way but like dust… strangest thing I’ve ever seen. It looked like I just sprinkled some above my lip and left it there.
Definitely not worth it, even as a backup. You’ll end up looking crazy!
What do you think, It’s so sloppy. Let me know what you think. 😀

Yes, it’s super shimmery but not on the skin, plus it’s great coverage and you barely need any!! I do NOT recommend the puff it comes with, it’s super overwhelming. I use a powder brush. A little goes a super long way, and for the price- it goes a long way! It gives flawless, natural coverage. In bright sun, people do notice a shimmer, but they say it looks good- not like edward cullen in twilight ha:) the glitter makes the skin look naturally glowy. Cover Girl is def. My fave drugstore brand:) def. Will repurchase:)

Edit: I put this down to 3 lippies just because I do realize how super shimmery it really is now. Comes off easily too and doesn’t do much coverage wise. Cheap packaging which broke.

I was VERY disappointed when I purchased this. I have a fairly light skin tone, so I bought this product in the shade light. My goodness there is no way this could be light! It would suit me better as a bronzer, if it weren’t for all the glitter??! I seriously don’t understand why there is so much glitter….
I guess if your skin tone is more medium to dark and you have a love for glitter, this would be perfect. It applies nicely enough. It doesn’t sit awkwardly on the skin, the finish is really quite nice, but it just makes me look like a sparkly Oompa Loompa.

I loved the finish of this powder, but there was just too much glitter in it. If it wasn’t for that, I would have really liked it. I did like how flawless it looked over my foundation, but the glitter was just too much.

Currently a fan of MAC loose mineral foundation but ran out so bought this. And… Let me say, total junk. I put it on with a brush like I apply MAC and it made my face look dry dry dry. A sparkly effect too. Didn’t have coverage, just enhanced my fine lines and other imperfect areas. Won’t even hang onto this for emergency use. Don’t waste your money.

This is my first experience with a mineral powder, and I’m impressed. Actually, this powder has really solved my difficulty in finishing off the shine on any foundation, and leaving a more natural texture and tone. I may experiment now with other brands at some point, but for now I am more than pleased.
Checking back in at later date: Still like the product, but went searching for a slightly lighter color – not available – as fair is the lightest. It’s not light – more beige. So great for me in the summer.

thank you.

This was my go-to powder for a long time. It’s fallen out of favor lately for me. It does very well as translucent fair on my soon but it’s very shimmery looking on me. I like the lightness. I dislike the applicator that comes with and usually use a brush, but the sifter built in doesn’t let me control how much to put on the brush very well.
