   I put this on my baby while he’s still a little bit damp, right out of the bath, and this soaks in his skin and makes his skin so conditioned and soft. I find a little bit goes a long way, and it’s going to take me a while to use up the bottle, which is great, because with babies you tend to go through things pretty quickly like diapers, wipes, baby wash ect. This is awesome… I bought this because I love trying new products out, and I honestly didn’t think I would use it that much, but it’s absolutely wonderful for my baby’s skin to retain moisture from taking a few baths per day because we all know if you take a lot of baths it can be drying, but this saves the day

   This is one of the BEST body moisturizer I have used, once I figured out how to use it right.
   It need to be applied on while your skin is still damp or rather wet, not dripping wet of course but do it right after you step out of the shower and have lightly dap off the excess water with a towel. A little goes a long way, no need to lather it on, it is oil in gel form so it’s very easy to spread. The only con to this is that it takes a little time to fully absorb so I have to wait around for a bit before I can put clothes on, but it works so well that I find myself not having to use any other moisturizer afterwards, even hand cream.
   This thing make your skin so, so soft and supple that my husband keeps trying to rub his hand on my legs whenever I use it. And once after a few day of me religiously slapping this on he suddenly said “Your skin shines! It looks so healthy and…. expensive!!” Cracked me up but I took that as the best compliment since it came from a guy who couldn’t even notice whether I’m wearing makeup or not.
   Oh and in the summer I use this instead of highlighter for my body. Applying it lightly on the shoulder and neckline makes your tan POPS and it just looks incredibly gorgeous.

   This review mostly covers baby oil gel for use as a shaving gel, but also includes use as a moisturizer. I used the version that contained shea/coco butter.

   I read online that this could be used for shaving legs – that it made legs super smooth, and gave a nice close shave. This was true for the first swipe of the razor. But it went downhill after that. This is oil in gel form – therefore, it clogs up in the razor and is super difficult to wash out. Most shaving creams wash easily out of the razor, but not this. Because it’s an oil, it doesn’t wash out easily. My razor was clogged after one stroke, and I had to (attempt to) clean it out with soap each time. The razor got progressively clogged, and as a result, the nice clean shaves weren’t so close and clean anymore. I also couldn’t tell exactly where I had already shaved, because the oil is clear. It was a mess, and made shaving pretty dangerous – the razor, my hands, my legs, and the shower became slick with oil. I had to throw my razor out afterwards, and spend time trying to wash the oil from my legs and from the shower floor.

   I would not recommend shaving with this, or using it in the shower in general.

   Note: I wouldn’t recommend using this, or any baby oil, as an every day moisturizer. Baby oil is mineral oil, which comes from petroleum. Most oil particles in this form are too big to properly soak into our skin’s pores. Instead, they just sit on top of the skin instead of actually moisturizing it, causing your skin to become more dry. This also causes breakouts. Also, excess oil can cause your skin to stop producing its own oil, again making your skin drier. This goes for coconut oil and other similar oils as well. Some oils, like jojoba oil, apparently have smaller particles that are able to soak into the skin. Only use baby oil once in a while for special occasions, especially if you have sensitive skin!

   I bought this in the “aloe & vitamin E” version and found it to be sticky and too greasy, so then bought the “Shea & Cocoa Butter” to see if it was any different. I use a small drop for both arms and then another drop for each leg but still find it to be a bit too sticky to use in the mornings. It does moisturise well and leaves skin super soft – but I can only use it at night. This does not sink in fast enough for me to use in the mornings before dressing. Such a shame because I love the scent. I used it last night and I can still feel it on my arms, which I never do with regular baby oil.. .it’s not unpleasant just more of a nuisance.

   That said – I prefer the no-frills plain old baby oil or just mineral oil. It feels less greasy, absorbs quickly without leaving that tacky feel, and is completely non-sticky. Plus works for so many different things from make-up removal to moisturising. So I’ll be sticking with the regular oil. I think for those with very dry skin this may be a better option – not a bad product it just didn’t work so well for me.

   This stuff works so well at moisturizing your skin! I love to use this after I have shaved in the summertime for the best smoothness. The smell is yummy too! And the gel formula is easier to use than straight up oil….can’t beat the price : )

   I just bought this at Walmart for under 4 dollars. I had intended on buying Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Oil for 6 dollars…but 5 minutes after trying out both on the back of my hands I couldn’t even smell the Palmer’s.
   The scents differ in that the baby oil smells more of coconuts than cocoa butter.
   This is very moisturizing and long lasting. It leaves a nice sheen. It takes a minute to sink in but it’s not greasy afterwards.
   The cap is secure as well so you know it’s not going to leak.
