I got this at Sephora for 100 points and I liked it so much I bought the full size in the VIB sale. My skin seems brighter, more clear and even toned, and I can see some PIH marks fading already. The smell is kinda smoky but I don’t mind it, its just the ferrulic acid. I normaly would not fork over that much money for a serum, but I really do feel like this has made a difference. Also, I have very sensitve skin, acne prone combo skin and this has improved my skin overall.

Just ok. For the high price tag, it only lasted me two months, using only once a day, maybe sometimes twice. I like the product but didn’t notice a change in my skin won’t be purchasing again. I’ve been using excuviance bionic serum which leaves my skin more hydrated at night.

I used my points to get a small container from Sephora (I think it was a 100 point reward). I have been using this every morning for the last week under my usual Clinique City Block Face Protector sunscreen/moisturizer.
First, this is more of a hydrating lotion than a serum. If you have oily skin then this could pose a problem. It also takes awhile to sink in, which I wasn’t crazy about. But, more than anything, my biggest issue with Potent-C is that it broke me out. Nothing else in my skincare routine has been different other than this. Luckily the breakouts aren’t of the deep cystic kind nor the ones with discharge. Just those small superficial bumps that let you know something isn’t working or is irritating.
I really wanted to like this, but it didn’t work for me.
EDIT: So I think I know what in the ingredients list could have broken me out: the “jojoba esters”. Jojoba esters can be pore-clogging for some but not most. So, now I know. Otherwise, the ingredients list is pretty good. Too bad.

Beware! I have combo skin and don’t usually have reactions to anything but I applied this to my face and neck and have gotten the worst rash of my life! It is red itchy and driving me crazy and I’ve had it for 2 days now and Cortizone-10 is barely helping!

I have been using the Timeless vitamin c serum for several years. I ran out of it and didn’t repurchase last time because I felt like maybe I didn’t need it and it made my skin a little sticky. I’ve tried several other vitamin c serums but they were all oily textures that turned me into a grease ball. I was intrigued by this one because of the packaging and the lotion base. It’s a white thin lotion that absorbs right away and doesn’t leave me feeling oily. It has a slightly hot dog watery smell which I think is good-I’ve heard from estheticians that is the sign of a good vitamin C serum. But the scent isn’t overpowering. The bottle is opaque and has a pump so it’s minimally exposed to light. That makes it much less labor intensive than Timeless which goes bad quick and I have to store it in the Fridge wrapped in foil to keep it good longer.
And it seems to be effective. I had gone without a serum for a bit and it was the end of summer when I started using it. My freckles were quite pronounced. Since using this, my skin is brighter and all the sun darkened freckles have lightened significantly. I think I’ve been using it 4-5 months now and I still have plenty left. So far, I’m very impressed.

This is expensive , but it’s worth it in my opinion. It makes my skin glow and gives me a uniform clearer look. It contains fertile acid which I’m sure helps with the vitamin C. It claims to “ improve the look of fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone and texture as well as firmness’. Well it does everything except fails on the firming. To be honest I don’t believe any product that claims to improve firmness , so I wasn’t disappointed.
This stuff smells bad, but not enough to be obnoxious.
It wins the most out of all its claims, in improving the texture and uneven skin tone.
If you need a lift in looking brighter , this wins. Just beware it’s a splurge item for sure !!

Ok, so I really, really wanted to hate this. It’s so expensive!!! But in all honesty, it’s worth it. I have to save up for this baby! I’ve tried many different vitamin c formulas throughout the years and this one right here gives me the ultimate glow the next morning ( I use only at night). My complexion has become so even and bright. My very fine lines are fading fast. My pores look the best that they ever been, and my skin is so soft. One pump is enough for my face and neck. I lightly pat a few drops of water on my face before application to make it spread even further. This bottle has lasted me over 3 months with nightly use. It’s smells like, well vitamin c! But not overwhelming. It’s a splurge for sure, but a great investment!

Wow! This serum lives up to its name – it is POTENT. This is PTR’s latest Vitamin C technology (came out this year) and the advanced, high end components really do work. After only 10 days of using this my skin is already much brighter and clearer. The few fine lines I have evaporated.
For reference, I was using Murad’s Advanced Radiance Serum for Vitamin c before which is basically the same price but totally inferior (and it’s not a bad product either). This is the most powerful Vitamin C serum I’ve experienced and is worth the nearly $100 price tag. Usually I don’t think you need to spend the big bucks on skincare (Cerave, The Ordinary, etc. are afforadable and work) but this is a special case.

The Peter Thomas Roth brand has released a new Vitamin C Serum called Potent C Power Serum that uses one of the several proven and more fat soluble Vitamin C forms called THD. This serum has a very light/ liquid-y texture to is and one pump from the bottle is enough to cover your face and entire neck. One thing I can appreciate is that this doesn’t have any scent to it. It absorbs quickly. I use this after my favorite serum (First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum) and then once the Potent C Serum is fully absorbed I follow up with my sunblock product, one that I like is the Drunk Elephant Umbra Tinted Moisturizer w/ SPF. I have noticed a little bit of improvement in my skin tone unevenness and a bit smoother texture. A little bit goes a long way so I anticipate this bottle lasting me for probably around three months max. Pricey but a good option, especially for those with normal to oily skin.
