I’ve used this powder on half side of my face and MAC Mineralize Skinfinish on the other half. Honestly, there’s not much difference to it. The only thing is that My MAC powder (10gms) lasted way way longer than this NYX #Nofilter (9.6gms).

If you need a powder to keep your face matte, this is not it. I was impressed though by the texture of the powder. Very finely milled, does not makes my pores bigger but it does not “fill” them, like any loose powder can do. It has a very light sheen and gives your face an overall light that if you don’t have serious texture in your skin like me, that could be perfect for your skin to seem luminous in a not oily way. But for me did not work because I have some acne and texture in my skin and this accentuates it much. I gave this 3 stars because seems like a very good product but only if you have not texture issues with your skin.

I love this..I dont use it over foundation i just fluff some on with a fluffy powder brush and it seems to blur my imperfections and give me a tiny bit of color …it doesnt break me out ( which is huge ) I wish it came with a mirror but I love it !

I so badly want to like Nyx products. Their products look amazing, there’s such a great range. But omg this powder is horrible. I actually got a fright when I looked in the mirror because it aged me so much, settled into all my wrinkles and accentuated them. I started googling microneedling immediately. 2 hours later, it had clumped into little patches of powder, and made me look textured and patchy. So sad about this. Off I go to spend a small fortune on high end again.

I can’t rave enough about this product. I got it in the shade golden. It’s a beautiful texture, and it has an unexpected great coverage. It’s perfect also for those no makeup makeup days. Definitely found my perfect finishing, all rounder powder. Thank you nyx.

I used to only use loose powder to set my makeup but when my local drugstore where I usually buy my NYX products was out of stock, I was forced to purchase this pressed powder. I have since stayed with this product. It is less messier than loose powder, and it really leaves a smooth beautiful finish to my makeup! It glides on well and once it acclimates to my skin, my skin just looks so soft and smooth. I really like the effect. My skin is pretty oily at the end of the day so sometimes I do notice my makeup breaking a bit but I’ve started using a primer so I see less of that happening now. I really love NYX products and am still using their HD foundation I had reviewed almost 10 years ago, although I suspect it is being discontinued. This is a great product and have been using it for about 2-3 years now.

As others have mentioned, I did get a first impression of this being similar to the Mac MSF’s. However, I don’t have a lot of experience with the Mac product, so I can’t say if the performance is similar or not. The NYX powder sits really strangely on my skin – when swatched or first applied, it seems to be a pigmented, slightly luminous beige (colour Light Beige). But then it gets darker and more orange and looks blotchy, not to mention no oil control. I don’t know, this powder looks unflattering on me and I can’t recommend it.

Okay so I have normal skin, dry in the winter, and can get a little oily during the summer around my T-zone
This was sooooo drying!! Creased sooooo much, it had a nice colour, it was brightening, but it just made me look like I had wrinkles where I don’t… I tried to use it to finish it but I couldn’t bare it, every time I would try to make it work I would check the mirror after some time and regret it, wishing I never applied it. I remember once I had to just remove my makeup completely and start again.

I almost didn’t buy this given the negative reviews here, but then thought that I’d try it anyway since it’s not expensive. I’m glad I did. It really works for me (I use Light Beige on my NC42 skin) – a very simple, clean, blurred finish (as promised) that lasts through the workday. Has not broken me out so far. At this price point I highly recommend it.

One of the worst powders I’ve tried… The problems began with the packaging: bulky and hard to open. When I got to loading the powder on a brush, it didn’t want to pick it up. I tried with several brushes, and the result was the same: the powder was hard to pick up, and seemed chalky. It didn’t want to apply evenly on the face either. After getting it on there, it began creasing almost right away. In only one hour, it looked like I had applied powdered clay instead of powder – it gathered into little islands on my face, made my foundation crease, and actually somehow made my foundation disappear, as I clearly had a completely naked spot across my nose – that never happens to my foundation when it’s set with other powders. 3 hours after applying my makeup, it had melted so badly on my face that I decided to remove it and start anew. I realized I forgot to use my Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray last time, so I did that the second time around. The result was actually no different – maybe half an hour longer wear time.
I do not recommend this as it is hard to use, and I’ve tried it with different moisturizers, primers, with and without setting spray, and with and without foundation under – nothing worked well
