   I’m on about my 3rd bottle of this. I use it morning and night and it replaces my night time moisturiser also I put it round my eyes. Skin looks plumper, healthier, brighter. It’s doesn’t deal with redness like vit c though just generally brighter. No spots, no reaction and I have very reactive skin. I think it has really helped with eye area moisturisation and dry lines have gone.

   Packaging is awful. Bottle should be dark or solid and pump not pipette which is style over substance.

   And it’s pricey.

   Got my hands on a this beauty last week, used for 7 days now and already really liking it. My skin looks glowing, rested and more plump by the morning and generally just better overall. Even from the 1st application I could see a difference. It hasn’t made any difference to texture or pores but I would use a Retinol or AHA/BHA for that purpose, separate to this. No stickiness to speak of, I think if anyone does experience a sticky after feel chances are they are using too much serum.

   A friend of mine who used Liquid Collagen had dismissed this as all hype after an SA told her it could get rid of her 11’s (expression lines) which she knows as well as I do – NO skincare product can do that as these are created by repeated muscular movements well below skin level. Only something that can stop those movements at their source, i.e botox can diminish the muscular movements and therefore the 11s.

   Ok so back to this; yes it is pricey, it smells like a frying pan to my nose but I’ve read all sorts of feedback on the smell from good to bad. Personally I don’t mind what it smells like when the results are this good! The dispenser system is a bit fiddly and often will not dispense product which can be frustrating. Yes it has its minor downfalls but its saving grace is its ingredients, everything from peptides to niacinamide, proven ingredients that help the condition and appearance/function of your skin… not those 11’s!!

   Bought this even though the price is horrendous and I don’t think the collagen can actually get into skin in this way, who knows? I’m nearly 60!so figured I don’t have any time to waste! This works beautifully In terms of moisturizing and softening lines and I think that’s why I notice plumper, smoother skin. Lays great under makeup, I liked the scent and definitely feel there is some benefit. Is it worth the price, I’m not sure, but it makes a great gift and it’s on my list for the Sephora sale. I will get another bottle.
   Updating to say although it’s very nice I found much better lower price options

   So reviews have been meh, but mostly from those younger than 40, and even more so under the age of 30. I LOVE this stuff. I think this stuff is amazing. The price stinks, however. It plumps and hydrated and I could see visible results (especially my crows feet and upper cheek area) in a week!! Nothing has worked as amazingly for me as this stuff. I originally got a sample in a subscription box, and immediately ordered full size near completion. I usually don’t write review on skincare items as so many products have similar performance. To me this one was different. The cost is OMFG you have GOT to be kidding me, but holy mother I am telling you this is graat for me. Get a sample!!! If you’re older than 40, I think you will be very happy!!!

   I was very excited to use the new and expensive Algenist Genius Liquid Collagen Serum. I scanned the ingredient list before purchasing and I thought, wow, and Algenist product without any fragrance! From the second I applied it I knew I had missed that perfume ingredient because it definitely smells like flowers. The formula feels nice and absorbs quickly, I just wish the fragrance weren’t included in higher levels than the beneficial ingredients. My more detailed review is here: 0

   I have only used this for about 2 weeks, in conjunction with on-and-off use of the Algenist Genius Ultimate Anti-Age cream. I’m only 26, so I didn’t have much wrinkles on my face: only some small wrinkles and lines under my eyes, and 2 slightly visible lines across my forehead. Both the Genius cream alone and the serum alone gave me good results.

   I use this serum nightly, and sometimes even during the day, in both cases with moisturizer underneath. In the day, I can apply a slightly smaller amount under my regular moisturizer, and I like that this makes my skin look luminous and healthy. The result I have seen from this is more even skin texture, smoothing of lines and more healthy-looking skin – you know, when it looks really soft-focus and hydrated.

   So, why do I give this 3 lippies? Well, first off: this is expensive: $115 for 30 mL/1 oz. Algenist also values themselves as a company with very innovative skincare, without ingredients that hurt the skin, which is true for most of their products. On their page it says “This product is formulated without gluten, GMO, binders, waxes, fillers, alcohol, phthalates, sulfates, parabens, triclosan, nitrosamines, synthetic dyes, or mineral oil.”… but this one has fragrance. Fragrance breaks down collagen – why that? It’s not good perfume either: some kind of flowery scent, to cover up the natural smell of the product, which is fish oil-like and grassy – the smell of algae. The perfume doesn’t manage to cover up the fish oil smell, but only makes the product smell like fragranced fish oil… In the “Results of the product” section Algenist shows off photos of someone’s undereyes after using the product. It irks me because I think fragrance is something that does not belong in good skin care – especially for under the eyes.

   Otherwise, I would recommend to keep this serum in the dark, as there are some ingredients in this that are broken down by light (some antioxidants), which is why, although the bottle is pretty, it is not the best packaging for this product, IMO. It IS very practical to see exactly how much product you have though.

   Would I buy this again (yes, I have a whole bottle, which I purchased myself)… I’m not sure. There are other products from Algenist that I want to try: the Advanced Anti-Ageing Repairing Oil and the Power Advanced Wrinkle Fighter Serum. I also have the Genius Ultimate Anti-Ageing Vitamin C+ Serum, which I haven’t yet tried, but reviewers are praising. In short: it seems like Algenist has several products that are able to fight wrinkles, and I might like some of the other ones better than this serum, although: yes, it does work

   UPDATE: I’ll go with “no, won’t buy this again”, as I find the Anti-Ageing Repairing Oil a better option for fighting wrinkles (even though it’s not for hydration + retinoids make you flake at first), or a retinoids cream, which there are plenty of. One cheaper option for those who want to fight wrinkles are products from the Retinol-line at Ulta: cheaper, works, and are often on “buy one, get one 50% off”
