Short review
Pros:
-reasonable price
-very good packaging(it also has a mirror)
-good(but not great) coverage
-doesn’t look dry and powdery
-doesn’t look cakey,chalky or patchy
-blends well
-it’s travel friendly(doesn’t break easily and isn’t messy)
Cons
– doesn’t have enough shades
-makes pores look bigger than their real size
-doesn’t look good if I use it to cover my dark cycles
I bought it in shade 10 (Ivory Beige) last year and it’s a bit too light even for my fair-light skin(for reference I’m C1 in Mac Face&Body, lightest shade in Bourjois CC 1,2,3 and City Radiance),or maybe it looks off because it doesn’t match with my undertone,it seems to be too neutral while I prefered it to have yellow undertone.but if you’re very pale and usually have difficulty in finding something fair enough and not yellow,I guess you’d like it.the second color,Nude, seemed too yellow when I swatched it on my hand but now I think I’d probably like it more than this one which washes me out
it’s claims are:high coverage, instant matte, long lasting.well,I’m not the right person to comment on these aspects.I have dry skin which doesn’t normally get oily throughout the day so I don’t know if it really mattifies a truely oily skin or not;but I have to put on rich face creams and moisturizing sunscreens and they make my nose and forehead look shiney, this powder immediately mattifies that.
It seems to have good coverage, definitely more than Essence Mattifying Compact Powder but I’ve had compact powders with much more coverage than this.it covers the redness I have on my cheeks but I don’t know if it’s able to cover acne scars or pigmentations too.
I apply a sheer touch of it with a powder brush after my untinted sunscreen(Eucerin Sunscreen Cream for dry skin)on days that I’m not in the mood of a real makeup.it takes away the greasy look and evens out my skin and I look much better than when I use my sunscreen alone but I don’t like using it to cover my dark cycles.it looks kind of unnatural and white under my eyes if I apply enough amount of it to brighten my dark cycles,so for that purpose I prefer to use a tinted eye contour sunscreen in these “almost no makeup” days
It doesn’t look too dry, cakey or chalky like some other powder foundations,it doesn’t sit on skin’s hairs,at least not when I use a little amount and blends well on skin.I like that it doesn’t have a powdery finish(but I apply it on heavily moisturized skin) but unfortunately it makes my pores look so big(I have tiny, almost invisible pores) which is very weird as most powders seem to make my skin look more smooth and blurred
I have had compact powders with much better pigmentation and softer texture.this isn’t as soft as some of them them but it makes it have less kick back and not break easily
All in all I like it.if it had a better color match for me and didn’t exaggerate my pores I’d definitely repurchase it

I am mainly reviewing this to talk about shade 40 Honey Beige. When I swatched it I was shocked by how unnatural it was for a skintone shade, it had a decidedly grey cast. As such, it is phenomenal as a very subtle contour for fair skin. When I say subtle, I really mean subtle, as in barely visible in daylight, no blending required. For reference I’m around an NC25 at the moment, so it might not be quite as foolproof on someone fairer, but it’s still much more subtle than all the other light contour powders I’ve tried (including Kevyn Aucoin’s sculpting powder in Light, and YSL’s Golden Contouring palette, both of which are very good). I wear it daily and I’ve already bought several backups.
As a powder foundation this product is also very good quality, although none of the lighter shades matched me well. 20 Nude Beige is a bit too light and pink for me, and 30 Vanilla Beige is quite peachy, which doesn’t match me either, although it does look nice. The packaging has a mirror and looks sturdy, but the lid breaks off easily, which is the only bad thing I can say about this product.
