Something about this product just screams gimmick to me. I regularly exfoliate, mask and use face peels but I’ve never seen any of my products produce the amount of “dead skin” like this gel exfoliant does. After applying it, and massaging my face, it results in balls of “skin” that I then rinse away. Oddly, for all that “dead skin” that sloughs each time I use this product, my skin does not look any brighter though it feels a tad smoother. I think that’s just the result of the manual exfoliation from this stuff. Just finished the sample I received, will not buy.

I got this at Sephora as a gift with purchase. It’s not a bad product BUT the pumpkin scrub is much better. I don’t feel the difference in my skin like I do with using the manual pumpkin scrub. Still a PTR fan.

This is a slightly grainy gel mask. You put on on and then rub your face till the mask dries out and little balls rub off all over. Supposedly those balls are skin. I call shananegains. This mask, when wet, just stays on my face. You have to rub till it dries and then it rolls. I see no difference in my skin. I feel like all this is peeling mask. I’ve gone through several samples and deluxe samples and it’s always the same. Not worth it.

I’ve been using this for about a year. It’s expensive but it’s worth it. I wash my face and pat it dry , then I apply a nickel size amount to the palm of my hand and dap it all over my face with my finger. I massage it into my skin all over until it balls up. I then rinse with like warm water and pat dry. I love how my skin feels for days afterwards. My makeup goes on smoother. Some people think it’s a scam and it’s the product balling up, but whatever… all I know what whatever it is it’s working for me. I use it twice a week which seems to be enough for me. I really like this and will continue to repurchase.

I bought this on sale during Ulta’s days of beauty, so I do think it’s worth that price tag. Would I pay full price for it again? Not sure. It actually does a pretty good job of removing dry skin and leaving smoother surface. The peeling thing may seem gimmicky but whatever is in it does seem to do the job pretty well. I think there are better exfoliators out there though.

I chose no as to whether I’d repurchase this, but I’d like like to clarify that as a “No, but …”
No, I wouldn’t repurchase this at its current high price, but when I find a sale or if it’s included in a packet of tempting minis, sure, I’ll bite.
No, it is not a miracle in tube, but when I do use it, my skin looks a bit brighter and smoother.
In brief, this is a sort of gel, similar in feel to aloe. It has no real scent, and the directions say to rub it into clean, dry skin and as you rub it on your face it’ll ball up and exfoliate some dead, dry skin, and when you rinse your face will look fresher. It also says you can leave it on a bit longer, 1 to 5 minutes, for a boosted peel/exfoliation.
So, is it the greatest thing ever?
No. But it is a nice product. I get some buildup and my skin feels and looks a bit dull and dry now and then, and a product like this is a nice way to quickly get rid of some of that old skin. It’s pretty mild — my skin isn’t exceptionally sensitive, except it doesn’t react well to a lot of fragrances and chemical sunscreens tend to irritate my skin, too — so this doesn’t irritate me. It’s basically a jacked-up scrub.
I refuse to pay full price for it, but when Sephora or some other entity has a deal where I can get a mini as part of a package deal, or if I ever find it on sale, I’ll buy it, sure. I’m in my 40s and sometimes I want to scrub off some of the blah, and this works to buff off some of the inevitable dullness that begins to creep in as the years accumulate.

This is a very mediocre face peel. It balls up and has a similar effect to putting aloe vera on your face. The “balling up” effect makes it look like more dead skin is coming off than actually; it was as disappointing as every balling up type of mask on the market. On the plus side, it makes my skin feel soft and hydrated afterwards, but that’s a very minor effect for the price

This product absolutely works! I get a lot of dry flakes from retin-A, and no physical scrub / home microdermabrasion has ever been able to get rid of them (even the one from PTR). This product quickly removes all of the flakes on my skin, leaving it smooth and primed for makeup application with zero irritation.
I tried the E.L.F. version of this product and didn’t think it worked as well as the PTR. Fortunately I was able to buy a full-sized tube of the PTR product for 25% off on Jet.com. Although the product is pricey, I only use a small amount a few times a week, so I imagine the tube will last a long time. I will always have this product with me, whether at home or on vacation.

This peeling gel is BONKERS GOOD! At first I didn’t think it was doing much and was sort of puzzled by it, but it left my face so soft that I am only left thinking that it must be magical. It also gets bonus points for not irritating my skin like physical and chemical exfoliators. Will buy again and again.

I was very excited to try this product based on the sample I received at the store.
I used it for a week straight, every other day as suggested, and after the first two times, it didn’t really deliver any peeling as expected.
I was very happy after the first use, applying to clean, damp skin, and watching all the dead skin roll right off, but after one or two uses, it is useless!
I will continue to use my Boscia product that delivers the same thing, for a cheaper price!
