The clear blue/green of this shade reminds me of the Caribbean off the coast of Cozumel. Summery and gorgeous, and an absolute stunner in direct sunlight! The formula is very thin and needs at least three coats to get even close to opacity – but it is very true to the bottle color. Because it’s so sheer, it leaves my nail tips with a bit of a faded appearance, though.

ILNP is US based Indi polish maker, who does the lost beautiful holo polishes. I want to recommend you try a couple, but be warned you may feel you need them all if you do. Surfboard came out in their Summer Jellies 2017 Collection. It’s a turquoise jelly with holographic micro-flakes. it has a magical sparkle to it. I didn’t wear it in summer because in the bottle it looked as thought it would be a good colour for winter, but the jelly formula makes it very summery, so I will be bringing it out again in Summer.

I needed 3 coats to build up density/depth of colour, but this is not unusual for jelly polishes. don’t let the number of coats put you off, as they were a) easy to build up b) quick drying and c) so worth it in the end. I anticipated for this polish to stain my nails (I find these sort of colours often do), but it didn’t – it removed beautifully.

I am not normally a fan of jellies, but with all the sparkle to it, Surfboard really worked and I enjoyed wearing it. I am planning to get more jellies from ILNP soon.
