This is an amazing brush, and yes, it’s well worth the horrible price. It’s 58$ here in Canada at Sephora and I searched high and low to find a dupe for less. Finally I got a gift card, and bit the bullet and bought it. Now I wish I’d not bought so many cheaper brushes that are only OK, instead of this perfect one.
I’ve washed it three times now, and each time it is easy to clean, no bristles falling out. The fibers are the softest silkiest I’ve ever touched, and they blend out all foundations from powder, to Mac Face and Body, to IT’s own CC cream (the one that it’s supposed to go with) and so far everything goes on faster, smoother, better with no streaking.
I have sensitive rosacean skin with redness, allergies, eczema, little patches of sebhorreic dermatitis and I don’t rub or irritate my skin with anything scratchy (like that awful bareMinerals original brush) because that just leads to trouble.
This is so soft, so quick to blend stuff out, it’s like a piece of silk brushing your face.
Now I’m in the process of buying more IT brushes before L’Oreal (who just bought IT) decides to destroy the quality in a quest for profit at any cost.
And yes, I will buy a second, possibly a third.
For the record, the concealer brush end is equally amazing. I HATE dual ended brushes, but I will put up with this because of it’s value to me every morning. I’ve dedicated a beautiful iridescent Venetian glass dish to it’s use to keep things pretty.
A final tip: try spritzing some MAC Fix Plus spray on the back of your hand, and gently wetting the brush and the concealer brush tip too before putting on your makeup.
I’ve been doing that with the IT CC cream AND with the Bye Bye UnderEye concealer. It sheers both of them out a tiny bit which I like –and it helps spread theat somewhat thick concealer out a bit more without pulling or tugging. (yes, I also rub the concealer between my finger tips to warm it up and get it more spreadable, but this helps even more)

This is the best foundation brush I have ever purchased. It’s unbelievably soft, lightweight, perfect size, dense and fluffy. I will apply full coverage foundations just as flawlessly (no streaks) as those that are lightweight and it barely soaks up any product. This brush allows for laying foundation without cakiness which is a must for me as I have texture and pigmentation from Acne.
I do get use from the concealer brush (mostly if short on time) but it it’s too dense and does soak up too much product in my opinion. I much prefer using a flat concealer brush as it is easier to spread.
I’d rate the foundation brush 5/5 and the concealer brush 3/5. I have used Mac flat foundation brush, RT buffing brush, RT expert face brush and they do not compare I reach for this brush more than my beauty blender which says a lot. Excellent product and I will be purchasing another one just in case!

For those looking for a better quality version of the real techniques buffer brush, look no more, this is the brush for you. Blends foundation like a dream. Whether you want full , medium or light coverage this will work as it doesn’t eat up your product. On lazy days I use this for foundation and cream contour. I do enjoy the concealer side, but i do with it was a tad larger. I tend to flip back between the large side and smaller side to get a flawless concealer/base. Also once I’ve finished applying all cream products, I buff out all edges with this brush to avoid any harsh lines. Amazing quality brush, currently own 2!

It Cosmetics has some of the softest and highest quality makeup brushes I’ve ever seen when compared to others of similar price. I have a couple of others that I absolutely love and use every day. This dual ended complexion brush came as a bonus with the Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream SPF 50. Personally, I would not purchase a dual ended brush only because I have an issue with storage space and do not the room to lay my brushes flat, rather I keep them upright in a container on my counter.
Foundation Brush – Much smaller than I thought it would be but I suppose it’s adequate for applying foundation. If you are using a thinner liquid foundation or even a powder foundation this brush will work well but I find it is a little too soft for use with this heavier thicker CC cream.
Concealer Brush – Medium in size and very soft which is something I appreciate for around the eye area which is usually thinner or more sensitive.
I do feel this is a good brush for those who do not mind it being dual ended and use either a more fluid or powder foundation. Alternatively, you could use the large end to apply powder or blush and you will enjoy how soft this is against your skin.
