I had all the colour cut out of my hair last year. I’m so lucky I have really silver hair – naturally now. I’ve tried several shampoos for silver hair and this one, hands down, is the best I’ve used. Doesn’t dry out my hair too much. Leaves a really cool looking ‘purpley’ tinge and my hair is super silvery shiny! I constantly get comments and am asked if it’s coloured silver. This shampoo really helps keep it that way. I use it once a week.

I don’t understand why there aren’t more reviews of this product on here as there are tons of reviews elsewhere.
With that said, I’ve been blonde for over 15 years and tried every purple/blue Shampoo on the planet. Nothing compares to this, nothing.
Sometimes I find this leaves a bit of a purple tint in my hair so what I have done to overcome this is mix it in with my regular Shampoo. This tones my hair effectively, but doesnt leave it purple. I leave it on for 7 minutes.
Best toning Shampoo ever.

This violet shampoo does a great job cancelling out gold tones. I leave it in for about 5-7 mins and then rise and apply a deep moisturizing conditioner. I use it about once every two weeks to cancel out the warmth in my colour. It’s a very very deep purple and you don’t need to use much plus it smells great like the entire Milkshake line does. I find it’s pretty drying but if I follow it with a deep conditioner my hair feels moisturized again.

I can’t believe there’s no review on this product. This is the best silver/purple shampoo hands down! My third bottle now. Smells fruity which I love! No parabens…no sulfate…..HOWEVER, If you don’t like the staining effect then this might not be for you. I like how this leaves a lilac color on my blonde hair so I love it. TOTALLY my thing. It only stays on temporarily for like a day. It then fades to a gray the next day. 3rd day there is like a light faded silver….then 4th day it’s back to regular blonde again. I use this every 3 days or sometimes just once a week (I wash my hair everyday). I leave it on for about 10mins (do whatever else you need to do in the shower during that time). If you don’t want that stain, you can still use this but I recommend you to just leave it on for about 2-5mins. The stain only shows for blonde hair that is light enough anyway. Anything darker than a dark blonde will not work.
For those of you that don’t know what a purple shampoo is…it is a really pigmented electric purple (sometimes blue) shampoo that helps maintain dark blonde to platinum white blonde hair. It keeps it from being brassy (yellow, red or orange) so the purple/blue color cancels it out.
My other favorite is Watercolors shampoo in Violet. I don’t really like the smell but it does its job for the brassiness.
The prices for these are kind of up there, but I go to a place in Vancouver called Zennkai, that sells them for cheaper.
