Lovely primer. Can be used on its own (for a natural glow) or under foundation.
Foundation stays in place all day, primer does not peel off or dry me out.
I use it in spring/summer – do not know whether it would work for me during winter time (cause then I have very dry and sensitive skin).
I like it as much as any other Guerlain make-up products.

Reviews I read on this product, made me really want to fall in love with it. I used it alone, with the Meteorites powder on top, with a BB Cream and even with a foundation. I do think it does a great job at matifying the skin and giving a “lit from within” glow to your skin. It also did really well at keeping other products on without pilling, etc.I only wish that it did a better job at color correcting, reducing redness and minimizing pores, which are my main concerns I need to address when choosing a primer. I don’t wear foundation or powder, so I’m on the hunt for a great primer that can be worn alone to address these concerns. I’m going to give this one a few more tries though.

This product are great for more oily or combination skin because inside pearls is méteorites powder. For dry skin it didn’t work (for dry skin is better L’Or base from Guerlain). I Love that even this is product for more oily skin or combination skin, it is not completely matte but gives your skin very natural glow.

I bought this because I was really attracted by the design and the pink color of the pearls. I loved to see it every day on the shelf in my room. It’s definitely a luxury product. But in terms of how it felt on my skin… I thought it was kind of dry and I did not necessarily observe a change in the luminosity of my face. But for sure I would be tempted to buy it again.

ETA: I’ve used this primer for over half the month – and I’m in love. So much, that I hunted down the full version and have purchased it. I’m not sure what this does, but for my oily/shiny skin – this stuff makes a definite difference in my shine control while wearing foundation. I love it. No breakouts either – and I have very sensitive skin. Only thing I’m concerned about is making sure I get all the product out of the bottle. I guess some folks had issues, but I’m prepared to bust it open if I need to! Highly recommend this primer if you have oily skin. I used to use NYX’s Studio finish primer (clear) that is the Smashbox dupe – but I can tell now that my skin prefers water-based primers vs. silicone-based. What a HUGE difference. If you aren’t sure, never hurts to try a different product! (or even a sample like I did.)

I believe they repackaged this from the old black bottle – formula is the same ( I compared ingredients, it is), but just a new look (white cap) which is here:
My review for both is the same – I used this for the first time today on my face (have a sample) and I wasn’t sure how much I’d need to use – I think I will use a bit more tomorrow – but the little that I did apply to my face – WOW. I wasn’t sure this would do anything as I applied it and rubbed it onto my face, since it was very serum-like – and lotion-like? It absorbed immediately – you do not get a silicone-y feeling with this stuff.
GLITTER. LOTS OF GLITTER SPARKLES ON THE FACE. The MAC primer does the same thing. I let it dry a bit and then applied my foundation etc.. like I normally do. I didn’t notice any more “glow” to my face at all. However, once at work – I noticed right away after 4 hours – and not needing to blot – that this stuff DOES DO SOMETHING. I’m using the same face products I normally do – but this holds back my oils well. Enough that I only feel the want to blot after it being on from 7AM to 11AM. Normally, I’m blotting by like, 9AM. So again, this does do something. It may not seem like it, but it does. My nose gets oily right away – but that happens with EVERYTHING.
Not sure if I’d repurchase the full (I have a sample) but I heard the new Smashbox primerizer gives the same feel and oil control as this – so I may try that first before splurging on this full price (or I’ll find another cheaper sample.) This does work with oily skin!
ETA: Post washing my makeup off– my skin was super soft! This stuff (unless it breaks me out) is great!!!! This would be 5 lippies if the price wasn’t so high.

IT LOOKS LIKE TREASURE on your vanity and the smell is very luxury, pink meteorites looks very aesthetic and expensive, but-
Yes, it feels nice to put it on, somehow moisturising feeling, a small hint of glow and THATS ALL.
Do not prime my make up, it melts off after few hours, no additional glow ,after make up is done, not noticed. It is beautiful, but i will stick to Smashbox primers, with them my make up lasts 6-10hours. In fact, despite all of i sad, it is second bottle im using, i really love the look of the bottle and now I m using it in summer time to add some glow and even my skin tone without any make up on it. Than it looks nice and give some healthy looking skin.

I have wear this on my worst skin day. One big painful acne, some small red acne bumps, countless post acne marks on my cheeks. Not to forget: my dull uneven complexion!
This is a nice lightweight illuminating primer. The smell is awfully old lady. I don’t mind that. It dissipates quickly. After that I used only concealer (maybelline fit me), pressed powder (mufe pro finish), and light dust of regular meteorites in medium. Then I go to the office.
Despite my worst skin condition stated above, the sales lady at the office said I have nice glowing & healthy skin just with minor bumps (my acne & bumps). Also she said what skincare that I use, because last week my skin is not as good as what she saw that day. WHAT THE HECK..?!
Now I use this almost everyday. This primer do nothing on my acne. It didn’t heal nor aggravates my acne.
I have this in regular (pink) and Les Ors (peachy LE) version. I must admit Les Ors give better result to my complexion. Like having good healthy lifestyle. Also my acne seems look less visible when I use LesOrs. IDK or I’m just at good lighting environments.. ????
Cons:
– whenever I want to layer with liquid foundation, I MUST use beauty blender/sponges. The foundie separates hour after application if I use brush. Even if I use my sigma f80.
– layered with liquid foundie (light to medium coverage) is not as illuminating/glowing/light disparsing as using powder foundie. So powder foundie I go.. also I can use brush.
– PRICEYYY. Damn Guerlain!
– bottle is not travel friendly. Heavy & made of glass and I love to pack lightly.
– my favorite color Les Ors is limited edition. Damn again, Guerlain! They likely not wanting to ressurect this color from the grave. Sad sad sad.
– PRICEYYYY. I can’t get enough how pricey this primer. I need dupes.. hopefully the dupe wont aggravates my acne too.

I have to be honest, I really waffle on this product.
I love the packaging. It looks and feels luxurious, the glass is heavy, it’s gorgeous. All the lippies for the packaging. I love the texture of the prime, rather than that slick silicone-y jazz it’s smooth and watery and dries down weightlessly on your face really quickly. I also love the smell. I know it’s probably a divisive scent, but it smells like the old ladies at church and I love that about it. It does a decent job with my oils, as good as anything else does at least.
The thing I can’t get past is the price. It’s $82 Canadian. That’s a full day of work at minimum wage. It’s kind of crazy for just a primer. Honestly I’ve never noticed that it did anything for me as far as colour correcting, and I really didn’t notice any particular glow imparted to my skin.
If we’re being honest this product is ok at best. But I have so much trouble admitting that. The two things I really like about it- the texture of the primer and the luxury of the bottle- are making it really hard for me to decide whether I would repurchase or not. I decided that if money were no object, yes I would repurchase. On my current budget? I don’t think so.
So there is my incredibly indecisive review for you to enjoy.

This is just lovely.
I’ve been eyeballing the Light-diffusing primer online for months now, so I went out to look for it only to realize it’s impossible to find!
I found this version so I was hesitant to buy it because I was looking for ‘the original’, but once I tried it on the back of my hand I just fell in love!
I have no idea what it does, but it makes my skin and foundation look absolutely beautiful and natural!

I have EXTREMELY oily skin, even now that i’ve reached middle age. My T-zone is especially bad, and my nose—well, fuggetaboutit, NOTHING works to control my oily nose, including this product. That said, I’m giving this product 5 lipsticks because in terms of controlling oil overall, mattifying and keeping my makeup from moving or coming off, WOW. I do not say “miracle product” lightly, but I’ve spent my entire life (esp. since I started wearing makeup at around age 13) trying to control oil and keep my makeup matte. The problems we oily gals encounter is that “matte” often = “dry and powdery with no glow”. And as we know, powdering throughout the day results in cakiness—YUCK. This product is a LIFE CHANGER.
Let me start by clarifying that this is NOT a pore minimizer, it is a PRIMER with a subtle luminizing effect. (If you have large pores, you’ll still need to apply a pore minimizer over problems spots/zones—for me it’s my nose, my dreaded nose).
First of all, it’s weightless and NOT SLICK. It’s a cool, wet thin gel, and I personally need about a pump to a pump and a half to cover my entire face. My foundation goes on smoothly and seamlessly and STAYS PUT ALL DAY. I’ve used this with all kinds of foundations—mousse, liquid, whipped, cream—and my face stays MATTE all day with this. Like I said, my nose is the biggest problem, so I do use an additional pore minimizer (I used Smashbox, Benefit and even Monistat chaffing gel) *only on my nose* after I apply the Guerlin Meteorites Primer, because I still need that extra barrier on my nose. Throughout an average day, I don’t even need powder touch-ups anywhere but on my nose. The first time I used it (with great scepticism), I expected yet another let-down from an overhyped product, but this stuff is the real deal. It’s obviously at a very high price point, so I thought about it for weeks before I finally bought it. I believe it was around $60 for a very small bottle, but you really do only need a small amount for full facial coverage. I figure if I use it daily, a bottle will last two months or so—not bad when you consider the benefits.
Most importantly, this product holds up in extremely hot, humid weather. It’s been in the high 90s quite a bit this summer, and my makeup stays ON, and it stays MATTE, and because of the bit of shimmer in the pearls, my face doesn’t look DULL. That little bit of shimmer is enough to give my skin a soft, lovely glow, even with foundation over it. And when you’re applying it, it has this cooling effect on the skin—so nice.
It has that signature violet scent of Guerlin products, but it’s light, pleasant, not overpowering at all. You only smell it while applying it, really. After you get the rest of your face on, you can’t smell it anymore. I love the violet scent, myself, but I realize that can be a turnoff for some, especially if your skin is sensitive to added perfumes in products.
I’m not a big fan of many luxury brands because I often find the formulas to be inferior to pro brands, but Guerlin is exceptional, and the Meteorites primer is a GODSEND for those of us who battle oily skin and all the makeup challenges that come with it. It’s going to be a lifelong staple, and I’ll scream and cry and throw tantrums if they ever discontinue it.
