The colour of the Sapphire pencil is sublime and so beautiful for a dark evening look. The look created on my deep set eyes by the EL rep was gorgeous. However, I found it difficult to recreate and once the point of the pencil had worn down, I found it impossible to sharpen without making a mess, a stub forming and hence, impossible to get a clean look on the eye. Such a pity, as it is beautiful but smudged in the wrong place and now just sits in my makeup bag.
FYI.. I have since bought Chanel Stylo Yeux waterproof in Marine with a wind up, always clean point. So much the better design. Expensive lesson.

Quick, easy, next step. … Locker bottle on the outside, plastic bag on the inside (perfect for any makeup kit) — the plastic bag on the outside, plastic bag on the inside (perfect for any makeup kit) Our first hurdle was to put the plastic into the makeup bottles. This is as simple as it gets and you’re better off removing the bottom plastic bag after washing your face before you go to work. Make sure to be mindful with stripping before drawing on your makeup. The 2 feet in front of you when I tell you to see the 5mm of space on my forehead look clear enough in our photo. I use two eyeshadow cones and about 2.5 inc pigments for the right fit in the skintone headband. Ask for a needle or mask. Now that I am aware of the shape of my face, I need to start massaging it. This takes some getting used to as I have most of the ingredients in my makeup – powders, cream and eye shampoos. I bought Nyc Eyeshadow in 5ml as I have been using Moisture Eyeshadow Box for 2 months now. I am sure they offer more because they recently started offering do-it-yourselfness do-it-yourselfness and other boutique makeup nightgowns for men. Lastly, the difference in feeling when you take a shower is very significant when using the masks. In this case, the mask ended up being as bold as it should be. I can now really smell it.
Conclusion – 5 mins of lathering, 13 min rest between head shower… To finish off my makeup I simply followed my inspiration and started my makeup brush up one in at the beginning of the morning, with the photoshop job done. Taking a good, gentle head shot without editing the brush or mask each time we applied the rest of the primer can really allow for the shimmer to fade out in time (here’s a nice way to do this). Personally, after this trial and error we achieved color payoff with only a touch of leakage, less yellow or orange and almost white. This continued with my Skinacea work and I still get many nice blends with small adjustments. Finally, both the primer and the mask are providing some silky, silky tone and naturally keep me trying to blend as much as possible. To the rest of the pack I have found that my eye f

Great colour “Sapphire” but impossible to sharpen into a neat point, it’s stubby and breaks off in chunks. Have used a new sharpener, live in stable 18-20c home temperature and am not a clumsy person with heavy handed chunk fingers, so how does that work? and what a waste of money!
Am now using Chanel Stylo Waterproof in Marine as it is self sharpening and an equally beautiful colour.
I’ve contacted EL to see what solution they suggest. It’s such a pity as it’s a lovely product but I can’t use it.

I got Coffee ages ago bcuz I saw a pixi2woo vid years ago in which her eyes looked normal dark brown till she applied this on upper lashline wiyh powersurge in waterline then they looked glowing hazel!
I tried the look with manyyyyy other similar dark brown colours of liner in other brands’ offerings// n it never worked and Powersurge itself didnt work without this Coffee liner (a black liner did not give the effect either).
Then i finally splurged on this and got the effect i was looking for. The colours she had used were – mac patina on lid slightly hazed out in the outer corner with mac charcoal brown
Powersurge in waterline (can b used on lower lashline instead if eyes are sensitive ) then Estee lauder’s Coffee lightly lining the top lid. I tried to get this effect by substituting other items fr any of the products or varying it but it only works all together, to get that glowing look . I really don’t know how she figured it out.
Back when she made simpler vids she wd come up with such simple, interesting n subtle combinations that always gave a beautiful effect. ( EG patina and mac print to give a soft lash line .. mac vanilla pigment and sable on outer corner, etc- extremely good impact bcuz the colours worked together. She also used the ideal brushes fr each stage which if i tried to copy with other types wdnt give that lpok )
I really think that takes genius as , as noted above, and not just fr this video but a couple of others i tried to do, substituting other items does not give that harmonious look.
Then l got Sapphire which is the single best dark blue I have found. It looks good with any eyeshadow look. It lasts cam be layered with shadows on top or under to give a hazy effect, gives enough time to be smudged etc
Unfortunately this product is truly worth getting despite the obnoxious price

I have color 01 Onyx. This is a very nice deep black eye pencil. I have very oily eyelids and this product stays on. Normally eyeliner even Revlon colorstay will transfer to my top lid. This stays in place. I don’t use eyeliner in my waterline because must products fake off and get under my contacts and irritate my eyes. This product stays in my waterline with no rubbing off, flaking, or irritation. Yeah! But due to the cost, this will be my special ocassion eyeliner. Revlon colorstay eyeliner is my everyday liner, but not in waterline.
Update 11/27/2017: This product compared to the Essence Gel eyeliner waterproof is lighter black. I used them side by side, I prefer Essence for the color and price. Also on a bad allergy day, this did not stay in my waterline. It started to look patchy since my eyes were so watery.

I would not buy this again. I got it in the EL breast cancer 2017 promo got a mini 8 pan eyeshadow palette, full sized mascara (this is $30 “alone”!!), brush & this travel sized eyeliner in a special case for $35 like I said “not bad”!! I am going to sharpen this w an UD liner sharpener (The Grindhouse) I hope it works I’d suggest making this a wooden pencil so much easier to sharpen! That’s why I gave it 2/5 for packaging 5/5 $$ & 5/5 overall. It’s an expensive pencil. It works really great not a lot of smudging except that lived-in smudgy look I love. All in all all a good pencil but will be a pain to sharpen I reckon.

I am so happy to finally have found a pencil that stays-put on my oily asian eyes. I generally prefer a more natural smoky eye. This pencil is perfect for that because the eyeliner glides over my lash line with precision effortlessly, and the blender tip is perfect for controlled blending. My lower lid may get a bit of smudging during the day (which is a quick clean-up and happens with any type of eye makeup I use) but overall my makeup lasts through crazy hot/humid weather and intense dripping-sweat type workouts.

I like this brow pencil because it is so easy to put color on your brow and the shade exactly matches my brow hairs. it is also not patchy and it really is very easy to blend. best thing about this is it lasts long. i have tried other pencils and pomades too but i keep going back to this one, this is even better than anastasia’s.

I have this eye pencil in coffee and onyx. Coffee is my primary since it’s a dark brown. Onyx is a black, although it is a bit less pigmented than I expected. The eye pencil is easy to apply and does not smudge too much while wearing, which is the main reason I recommend it. The only complaint I have is that one eyeliner is $23 and there are definitely cheaper options. Aside from the cost concern, I would buy this again.

I loved this pencil – it was soft and stayed put all day. I used it inside my eyeline. That was until I tried to sharpen it! The woman at the Estee Lauder counter who sold it to me said I should use a normal pencil sharpener. I even bought a new one because the two I had didn’t work on this pencil. It is now blunt as well and every attempt to sharpen the pencil causes the black inside to break off. What a ripoff! And whatever happened to the fabulous Intense Kayal Eyeliner pencils? I asked my cousin to get me one in London and gave her a photo – but she was given instead another of these infuriating pencils. So I now have two that don’t work! Be warned: you will spend a fortune to use this pencil only until it needs sharpening. And another gripe – why does Estee Lauder not have an eyebrow pencil for blondes? Their brown pencils are fabulous, with a smudge at the end to soften any sharp lines. But we don’t all want to look as though we’re blonde because of a salon’s bleach and tint, whatever fashion dictates!

This review is for the automatic pencil version of the eyeliner. I used the one pictured in the review and while it lasted all day, I inevitably ended up with panda eyes. Due to the strong lasting power of the eyeliner the panda eyes were difficult to clean up at work without eye makeup remover. The new version, however rocks! No more panda eyes and incredible lasting power. I also have the dark brown color, but the lasting power isn’t as good.

This doesn’t stay put on me for long. I do tend to be oily around the eyes and I struggle to find an eyeliner that wears well. This only lasts a couple of hours before I start looking like a panda. Nowhere near long wearing enough for me.
