Written in the Stars is a part of Fall 2017 Retrograde Rising collection. It’s a blue-green shimmer polish. It’s very pretty, but not the best colour on me.
The formula was a little confusing. The consistency is a little runny so it’s important not to overload the brush. I thought I achieved perfect opacity with the 2 coats, but the following day (in good lighting) I could see lighter patches on some of the nails, so perhaps 3 thin coats would have been best. I had no problem with drying or wear time.
All in all, it’s a nice enough polish, but far from favourite in my collection, so I wouldn’t repurchase.

#4 – 2019 – Written On The Stars is from Color Club’s Fall 2017 Retrograde Rising collection. It is a deep blue-toned emerald green nail color with iridescent light green and blue shimmer. In certain lighting I also see elements of gold shimmer. It is a pretty color but IMO it flashes more teal than emerald.
I can honestly say that this is not my favorite color polish. To me it looks different on the nail than in the bottle. I was hoping for more of a navy with flashes of green and shimmer. It really reflects more of a teal color in most lighting.
I deducted a lippie on the overall rating because the formula was on the runny side and I did get pooling on the sides or my nails and it flooded my cuticles a bit. The shimmer spread evenly with no extra manipulation on my part.
It was opaque in 1 coat on my short nails. With longer nails you may require 2 coats. I did add a second coat and that substantially deepened the color.
Written On The Stars comes packaged in the standard polish bottle and has a standard polish brush. There is nothing unique about the packaging.
I did not care for the color Written On The Stars and the formula was hard to work with, as such I would not repurchase. I got a good deal on this polish and I think I paid $3.75 for this bottle. This one will go in the purge pile.
I will update in a couple of days on wear, removal and staining.
UPDATE: Good wear. Easy removal and no staining.
