I got a sample of this product in my Birchbox last month and I wound up buying a full bottle. I don’t really love dry shampoo, but I need it, because of my straight, fine hair, and this is one product that seems to work on me.
Spiritualized is a little different from most dry shampoos in that it’s a misted liquid, not a powder. You shake it to blend it (because the cleaning/oil absorbing element settles to the bottom) and mist it on, wait about 30 seconds, then massage in. A combination of silica and micellar water pulls the dirt out and absorbs oil. (At least this is what the Birchbox blurb tells me!)
I gave this five lippies because it doesn’t do two things that drive me crazy and make me hate dry shampoo: No powdery residue, and no static electricity. It refreshes my hair and makes it look presentable, though it doesn’t quite go to “just washed daisy fresh.” It does what I need it to do – if I skip a hair wash I don’t look like I have limp greasy spaghetti hanging off my head. Those of you with fine straight hair will know what I mean. I can spray this in after the gym and my hair will look decent and presentable. And no residue!
