ColorWow Dream Coat for Curly Hair did not work for my 3b salt-and-pepper curls. I purchased it from the ColorWow website and I will be returning it. I noticed on the CW website, all of the reviews for this product are 4-5 star (mostly 5 star), so I figured I should try it. My hair is on the dry side, and I use a LI conditioner to help with detangling before any styling products get applied. I called ColorWow before ordering to ask questions; they recommended the Kale Cocktail conditioner to use as a leave-in for detangling, even though the website says it needs heat and I told them that I only air-dry my hair. Also discussed with them that my hair is basically shades of natural gray. I also bought the travel size bottle of Kale Cocktail and used it before applying the Dream Coat. The DC spray bottle is very shiny and pretty, but for me, it was difficult to keep a good grip on with wet hands while spraying into my hair. I would have liked a couple of ridges on the bottle to help with grip, so I rated it low on packaging. I ended up spraying most of the application directly into my hair, and also spraying into my hands and applying using “prayer hands” method. The product itself felt okay in my wet hair, but I could tell as my hair was drying that it wasn’t giving me clumpy curls, nor any hold, as my other stylers do for me. Maybe I didn’t apply enough product, but I felt like I used a ton. I really wanted this to work for me. I was tempted to keep it and use it as a curl refresher on dry hair, but since I’m within the first week after purchase, I am going to mail it back for a refund.

I absolutely LOVE this product…it’s the only thing that does a great job on my graying/silver hair. My hair frizzes with any blow drying, so normally I just air dry to get nice curl without frizz. But now, with this product, I can blow dry my hair for 5 minutes with diffuser and this is what I get. I am very very happy. My hair is gray, fine and wavy curly and very prone to frizzing.
