Cute bottle. Smells cool. Used all of it. Does fuck all for your skin. Literally. Does nothing.

I bought this product for 2 reasons. 1) It has amazing reviews on here & 2) I got Kiehl’s mixed up with Korres (Korres is cruelty-free whereas Kiehl’s is not). I realized my mistake upon returning home & continuing to research the product. BUT I try to avoid returning things at all costs. So I decided to just keep it & use it even though it was almost $50 for 1fl oz.
I wish I’d never bought this for 2 reasons. 1) It doesn’t do anything for me that justifies the price & 2) the sales associate called me cheap (she used that exact word) for not buying the larger bottle (that was over $100!) despite the fact that I’d never tried this product before & didn’t even know if I’d like it or not. At least I bought the small bottle instead of asking for a sample to try out first.
Back to the product… sure, it moisturizes. But I can get a moisturizer that works just as well for a tenth of the price. If something works extremely well for me, then even if I can get a similar product for cheaper, I’ll shell out the $$$ on the higher-end item. This just doesn’t do it for me though. I can’t justify the price tag.
I don’t like the dropper style packaging. I don’t like the dry feeling of this oil… that might not make sense to some people, but I feel like some oils are just… drier than others (which is probably a good thing because it doesn’t leave the skin feeling super oily, but I don’t like how it feels to the point where I don’t even want to apply it.)
Maybe it’s my skin type, or maybe this isn’t the best skincare product to use given my skin type/the climate I live in, or maybe I’m just biased because of the events that took place while I made this misguided purchase. But I don’t like this product & wouldn’t repurchase even if the brand was cruelty-free.

I absolutely love this oil!!!!!!
Haven’t used a lot of facial oils, but decided to give this a try and have not regretted it.
I use it every day and every other night, I only need 2 drops max.
I tap it into my skin and it doesn’t leave a heavy, greasy feeling at all.
Absorbs somewhat quickly and leaves your skin feeling hydrated, moisturized and glowy.
Love the smell and the packaging.
Also tried the Midnight Recovery Concentrate, but eh, found it did nothing for me and felt way too heavy at night.
Will definitely repurchase even with the hefty price tag.

I love love love this stuff! The Daily Reviving Concentrate (DRC), together with the Iris Extract Activating Essence Treatment (IEAET), has made a huge improvement on my dry skin. I already loved the essence before I tried this facial oil. Now, my 40-year old, sleep-deprived skin has become more supple in a way I never thought achievable given my current lifestyle.
I don’t care much for the Midnight Recovery Concentrate as it didn’t do much for my skin. But the DRC and the IEAET… please don’t ever stop producing them, Kiehl’s!

I’ve long been a big fan of Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Oil and was eager to try this day time accompaniment. With the unusually cold and bitter weather we are having this winter (even by Canadian standards) and the busy holiday season I’ve had (we’ve done a fair bit of entertaining and hosting the big family Christmas – 25 or so people all crammed into my house), I decided I both needed and “deserved” to treat myself to this oil blend and I am so glad I did. I love facial oils and this one is no exception. My skin absorbs this readily, looking and feeling “plumped” as soon as I smooth it in, and it doesn’t feel oily or greasy. It makes a great “base” for my winter day-time skin care and because it contains no water, I don’t have to worry about anything freezing or damaging my skin when I go out to shovel snow or clear away the igloo that encases my car overnight! Using this together with Ombra Melkfett cream (also water-free) really protects my face when I’m out for any extended time in winter. Like most Kiehl’s products, this has a lovely herbal, natural smell. Total winner product and I think I prefer it to Boscia’s Tsubaki oil, which is a good thing since it looks like Sephora is phasing out the Tsubaki oil and that’s the only place I can buy it!

I really love this stuff! Just purchased a huge bottle after going through my 1oz bottle and skimping along with deluxe samples until I couldn’t put off the splurge any longer. This serum is not greasy at all, smells terrific and makes my skin look bright and dewy. I love it!! Check the Kiehl’s site frequently for special deals — I finally bought when they had $20 off promotion.

Got this as a replacement product from Kiehls in Thailand as I suddenly got an allergic reaction to their vitamin C treatment. I must say I really like it. I have quite oily skin so wasn’t confident adding an oil was going to do my skin any good but after a few weeks of using it I feel my skin has become more balanced and less oily. I use three drops as a moisturizer and then add spf and make up, done! Will definitely buy again. Packaging is good and easy to use just would prefer a plastic bottle rather than glass as I’m a bit clumsy and can drop things, so considering the price I’m a little anxious I’m going to drop it hence one lippie off for packaging!

Heard lots of good things about this but it was too greasy for my oily face for a morning routine. My bf told me it looked like my skin was glowing but it gave me a lot of little bumps on my chin and i never break out on my cheeks. It smells nice but yeah i couldnt stand putting this on anymore due to the bumps i was getting. This with combo of oil free ultra cleanser was a nightmare for me. Once i stopped using this and the cleanser my face is instantly more clear. Im trying out the night oil because at night time i dont mind having a bit of oil and i use benzoyl peroxide under which is fine with that. This felt too slick for daytime for me personally.

I have dry skin but this oil feels very heavy especially with any daytime spf product. Did nothing to my skin. Has a nice smell, did not give me bad reaction but didn’t saw any improvement.

this product smells amazing and it is great at keeping your skin moisturized. not good for oily skin and will do nothing else but provide moisture. for the price tag it comes with it is not worth it. i ended up selling the last one i bought because i was so disappointed.

This stuff rocks! It strengthens skin’s defenses against daily aggressors to keep skin youthful and radiant-looking all day. Provides antioxidant protection with a powerful blend of naturally-derived oils, including Ginger Root, Sunflower and Tamanu, to help skin feel fresh and look energized morning to night. It’s Paraben free, 100% natural origin, Mineral oil free, Non-comedogenic, Non-acnegenic.
I use this in conjunction with the Kiehl’s Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate and I’m good to go!

I started using this product four or five weeks ago. My skin was looking pretty dull after a major allergic reaction to an antibiotic my doctor prescribed and I wanted a little something extra to boost it and restore its healthy look. At first, it broke me out a tiny bit (I expected it, it is a facial oil after all) but after a week or so the tiny pimples were all gone and I noticed some major differences. My skin looks supple, glowy and hydrated; my skin has literally never been so soft and smooth. I used about three drops and apply my moisturizer and SPF. I would definitely buy again. It is quite pricey but a little goes a long looong way.

I used this product mainly in the winter for my morning skincare routine and then I saw on YouTube the oil + foundation formula and how it makes your skin look glowy and you don’t need to use so much foundation. So I tried it, mixing a little drop of this and my foundation and I was stunned. I used less foundation, more oil and then set my face with powder. The results were incredible, my foundation looked amazing and stayed on the whole day so when I went out with friends in the evening, I didn’t even need to re-apply and everyone was telling me how amazing my foundation looked. This product is fun to play around and you can use it in so many different ways. Will definitely repurchase when I run out!

I’ve been using this product every morning for a year and I love how moisturized my skin looks after.
I have normal/dry skin and this product helps me immensely.
I was compelled to write this review after skipping this product one morning and found my skin super tight and dry later that day.
This is not cheap though. I put around four drops on my face with every use.
