This was just an OKAY mist. Nothing special. It had nice scent but never really saw any benefits when i used this. Youre paying really for the name. I love La Mer and have several of their products but this one is not one of those i will repurchase.

I feel really sorry for all the angry people that don’t like this mist. Yes there are cheaper alternatives that set and refresh makeup…I have tried them all. But this mist along with the Caudalie Elixir do much more that that… calms redness, balance you ph, repair your moister barrier, make you look glowy with out shimmer or that greasy tacky feeling. This water magicaly made my skin repair itself faster. I have used some of the best products, serums etc and I decided to put my skin on a diet and just use waters since my ph barrier was broken and I was breaking out like crazy, not even meds were helping me and even with makeup my skin looked bad. . … I loved this when I bought it, no other mist gives me this glow but eventually I forgot about it and decided to use it again on my skincare diet. No one believes me that my skin changed with just this water but my skin is evidence, never in my life did I imagine some expensive water would help me and fast! I dont mind paying the price for this “fancy water”. Then I thought maybe other waters could do the same so I tried just using affordable rose water from mario badescu etc and even other fancy waters like sisley, niod, chanel hydra mist, omorovizca etc…. the only thing that came close to repairing skin fast was the Caudalie Elixir, But La Mer is slightly better bcz it gives more of a glow than the caudalie one. La mer should update the packaging though, it doesn’t mist, it sprays and I wish I could carry this in my bag but I cant due to the cap falling off. So its not just another mist bcz others didn’t repair my skin, Try it at night with out anything else on and see how your skin starts healing itself fast. I also use this and put my red led mask one and that was even better! Dont listen to that person who said to use regular tap water on your skin, GROSS! Give it another change, spray plenty at night with nothing else.

This tonic while refreshing and convenient to use is essentially over priced rose scented rosewater with the miracle broth infusion. Not bad but not great either. Great for flights, to use by the beach. a luxury skin care purchase nothing more.

It is a lovely product. (The price though is outrageous for basically bottled scented water.) Hydrating without leaving an oily-film on the skin. Very mild fragrance (rosy but not overpowering!). Love the packaging too.
But, as other reviewers have pointed out, it needs improvement on the spray. It should be a finer mist not a shower. (Hence the lower rating).
Benefits: lightly hydrating, very refreshing, refreshing boost of hydration.

I would like to say upfront that I do find this product to be quite gimmicky. I was conned into buying this as a throw in by my local La Mer SA and well I have been trying to find ways to use it.
Overall – it gets it’s job done as it does hydrate your skin, and nothing much else. I do find immediately after application, it does kind of slip and slide all over your face, and that you do have to try and pat it into your face (being a form of fancy water infused with the Miracle Broth, what does one expect LOL).
AS A MAN reviewing this item, I do find that this product is a good alternative to an aftershave balm and can be used as a form of spray on lotion (I spray this on my freshly shaven face first, then wait until its almost dry and then apply half a pump of Le Solution 10 de Chanel for a fully moisturised face). This product does calm down the irritation of shaving and reduces that feeling the skin is irritated.
For a woman to use this product, I can’t really think of any uses that one may be able to use. There are a plethora of other more effective products that target hydration or even anti ageing.
Although I did say that I would repurchase this item, I do find it to be sort of like a filler item or sort of like a gateway item for one to purchase more goods from La Mer (an alternative could be the Lip Treatment, which I highly recommend or the hand cream (that i also highly recommend) – but that is another review(s)). However, I would consider purchasing it again if I really had to (like in a life or death situation), but when the product runs out I won’t be running back to the La Mer counter to repurchase it.

I believe I have written enough actual decent reviews on this website to post one superfluous one on a product which I had not used.
While researching online about the history and performance of La Mer products I came upon an interesting article by a particle physicist who is a professor in Canada:
In short he basically debunked many of the fanciful claims made about their ‘water’ claims.
Just some food, or water, for thought.

I have very sensitive skin and very dry skin. I am 46 so the right skincare is important. I have gone through everything from Dr. Hauschka, Mychelle, Skinceuticals, Lancome, Estee, Eminence, Clinque, Decleor and MANY others and I mean MANY lol. For whatever reason La Mer turned my skin around and it looks amazing now. I use this mist as a refresher or on a hot day to cool my skin. I love it!! It smells like rosewater which is one of the ingredients. I love this mist.
Keep in mind that everyone is different and if a line of skincare doesn’t work for you then hey, move on until you find the right one. La Mer is expensive but I’m worth every penny and I have one face so now that I’ve found what works I’m sticking to it. If you want something less expensive in a spray form, check out your local organic store and buy some rosewater spray, it works somewhat similar to this.

I almost bought this until my sister sprayed it on me and I broke out into tiny bumps all over my face. It felt like what I imagine hairspray would feel like on your face if you sprayed it as a fine mist; the feeling was tight and a little sticky. My sister, however, loves this stuff and it does agree with her skin because she is glowing. For me, it just didn’t work.

I’ve tried hydrating mists from several brands in the past. I enjoy them because my skin can tend to look a little tired and dry midday. I also like a hint of a mist after applying makeup for a touch of dewiness (I don’t worry about it moving my makeup as my skin is very dry). I don’t usually play with La Mer because I assumed it to be all hype. This ended up being the first La Mer product I have ever purchased. I work in cosmetics and when my skin became flaky midday and none of my usuals would work for more than a few seconds, a girlfriend of mine at La Mer just causally misted my face with this while we were about to head out for lunch. I really liked the way it felt, and it worked very well to combat the dryness. It continued to keep it at bay for the rest of my shift. After using this every day for a couple of weeks, I decided I had to have it. Did it cure my flakiness? No. Piling on makeup everyday just does that to me from time to time (especially during seasonal changes). It does keep my skin looking hydrated though and prevents it from happening as long as I touch up with this midday. I love that it keeps my skin feeling comfortable for a couple of hours after use, not just a few minutes. It feels richer than MAC Fix+, Clinique, or Chantecaille. It feels like it protects the skin for some time before finally being absorbed. In my mind when I went to view the reviews here I assumed they would be over the moon. Maybe this is for a very paricular skin type? I also have atopic dermatitis and this does not irritate or aggravate that. Helps keep it away. It’s only been a couple of weeks but as of now yeah, I can see me buying this again. Well done La Mer.

I tried the Mist, hoping it would hydrate my skin prior to applying moisturizer and combat redness but sadly this does nothing for me. It had no effect whatsoever. I was given this as a gift, and I was truly taken aback when I found out what it costs. Everything La Mer is costly after all, but this acted like scented water on my skin. I found the smell way too strong and the worst is to accidentally get traces of product on your lips, it is not a good taste. I like many La Mer products but I would not purchase this. $65 for 3.4 oz.
