Totally TOTALLY awesome palette for summer travel. I just went a week overseas and this palette which was exclusive to HSN for $34 was all I took for blush, eyeshadow and lips (except you need some gloss or lipstick for the purse as I don’t like palettes for touch up when on the go in my purse.)
You get:
Mini Blush/Bronzers: Dandelion, Galifornia and a split pan of Hoola and Hoola Light.
Four Eyeshadows: Pearls Night Out (shimmering pearl), In Your Tangerine Dreams! (tangerine), Hey Coralfriend! (rosy coral) and Hot Copper (bronzed copper)
Four Lips, two lipstick lipcolors and two gloss lipshines: Lip color in Young, Wild & Coral (coral) and Don’t Blow a Fuse-ia! (fuchsia)
Lip shine in Party to the Pink (bubblegum pink) and Nice Watermelons! (watermelon pink).
The palette is a glazed cardboard with a flap lid but….the lip colors are covered by a plastic slide. SO good. Your lip colors stay good even in travel and no dusting from the shadow or blush.
The powder products don’t dust much, in fact, the Hoola was a bit hard to apply with a soft brush.
Good size, perfect size mirror, palette is about 3.5 inch by 6 inch and about 1/2 inch thick.
The eye colors are very good; the “Hey Coralfriend!” is a pink that works well in the crease to wake up your eyes and the brown color “Hot Copper) is a good line or crease or smoke color but not a flat brown, has some coppery shimmer. The Tangerine is more of a gold, not an orange. VERY wearable esp if you have blue eyes (I have green eyes but I know blue eyes do well with gold shadows to bring out the azure colors.)
The lip colors are smooth and comfortable. I’m not normally a fan of bright lipsticks but I could wear the coral and the fuschia just fine and the glosses are perfect. I’m over 65 (but no mouth wrinkles as of yet) and with MAC lip primer, these colors went on with my brush so beautifully. They don’t really last very long but they are very comfortable to wear and flattering to nearly all skin tones (I’m a neutral medium fair with medium brown hair and dark green eyes.)
I usually use Benefit just for brows and mascara and I’ve bought Galifornia in the past as well as Hoola and a few other blush but I don’t use their eye shadow or lip products. I’m completely pleased with all the products and the price was so reasonable. Get this while you can get it, I think it’s really close to perfect. A shimmery highlighter would have been better than Hoola Light but…you can use the pearl eye shadow as a highlighter so really, it has got everything.
