   I had a sample of this and thought I liked it, so I bought the 72-dots at $32 + tax, and I’ve decided it really doesn’t work for me. When it works (about 5 – 10% of time), it sticks to your skin covering the blemish completely and it MIGHT help the blemish “calm” down overnight. Mostly by keeping you from touching it. But it usually doesn’t do this. I’m on my last sheet of this (last dozen or so) and I have concluded that it usually falls off very easily and barely has an effect on cystic acne. If you want to apply any other treatments or moisturizers or sunscreen — which you definitely should on any acne spots to prevent hyperpigmentation — the PTR dot will barely stick to it and fall off within minutes.

   The packaging is kind of a huge waste and sort of deceiving. You open this blue tin thinking it is chock-full of sheets, but it is mostly cardboard space-holders keeping a few sheets of dots in place/suspended in the center of the tin. Kinda ludicrous.

   The dots do come in 2 sizes, which is a plus if you can get them to stay on your face. Otherwise, I really don’t think you should waste your money on this. It’s just WAY to expensive for what it is and what you get (which is not much except for a blue, band-aid sized tin).

   Ces points sont maintenant mon Saint Graal Traitement de l’acné! Ils collent vraiment bien et rester toute la nuit, même avec tourner et vous retourner. Ils diminuent les taches et les rendre sans douleur après seulement probablement 6 heures d’usure. Ils sont fini mat donc ils sont assez « invisibles ». Non seulement les points garder le traitement de l’acné hydratant en place pendant des heures, ils vous empêchent de toucher les Pimple. Je suis horrible en essayant de garder mes mains sur mon visage quand j’ai une tache. Mon seul reproche est qu’il est vendu uniquement chez Sephora actuellement et son assez cher

   I am in love, love, love with most all of Peter Thomas Roth items, I could open a small PTR store but I won’t sell his items because they are the best that I have tried. I have occasional acne breakouts, maybe 2-3 every couple of months, so I thought this would be better than doing the whole acne treatment regimen. I purchased this for about $40. And yes I recently broke out with one pimple on my chin, Grrr, I hate this, I cleansed my face very good and use the Witch Hazel Toner to continue to keep my face clean. The dots are almost invisible, so you can see them a little, and they are very thin, which is good, I placed one of the larger dots on the pimple, which is almost invisible to wear, which was great because I could wear them outside and no one could see it. I left the dot on all day long and it worked pretty well. No stickiness, no smell, nothing to complain about at all. My pimple did go down a little the first day, but I had to wear another one at night because it wasn’t really gone. The next day when I woke up I even forgot that I still had it on because you can’t see it, and I was very impressed with these dots, the pimple wasn’t completely gone but it was very, very much smaller, PERFECT!!! I say that you guys should try these you will be happy, but if a pimple has already broken open I say don’t use this, only when you are first getting signs of one and this is the best… Yes, it is a bit pricey, but hey you do get 72 of them which isn’t bad, and YES, of course, I would always purchase this again and again.

   Not sure why because salicylic acid and tea tree usually don’t work well for me. Even his other product “Acne Spot and Area Treatment” did not work for me. Benzoyl peroxide has always worked better. But for whatever reason these work amazing for me and my friend. My pimples are smaller in the AM. I actually wanted to get a pimple to use this? lol. They have been working well and i would recommend and buy again. Also works better than Mario badescu drying lotion. They also don’t fall off my skin as long as its pretty dry when I first apply.

   ** Edit lowered to a three they don’t work as well as they first did… Not sure why. Still use them though.

   Very disappointed as I felt that these dots prevented my skin from breathing. During the night I feel that allowing our skin to breath is probably the best thing to do. I saw no difference in my skin from using them. I also found them in Superdrug by another brand at a fraction of the cost and it contained the same percentage of salicylic acid. So I was frustrated I paid so much and a box doesn’t last for long if you have multiple spots.

   Actually, I’m undecided if I’d repurchase these or not. I love that they come in different size dots to fit the size of your pimple–smart! I like that they actually work to reduce inflammation, swelling and actual bacterial load in the pimple. It will flatten a swollen zit overnight and make it much less noticeable.
   The only thing is they aren’t super strong, like if your pimple is large, cystic or from some funky bacteria you got from your hands touching your face(as opposed to a zit that forms from makeup clogging a pore)–in these cases, the dots don’t work really well. You’re better off with some hydrocortisone and zit cream and an alcohol swab. But for smaller, more manageable pimples, these dots are great.
   I think they’re a little expensive for as often as I’d use them, and I’m fine with some zit cream on a cotton swab. I think tho, they’d be amazeballs for travel! Pack a sheet for emergencies and save space in your bag.
   These are a great idea, I really like them, but they’re more expensive than say, Biore, but less work than mixing zit creams. Plus they’re nice and tidy..no mess on your pillowcase, and no bleaching your pillowcase like zit creams can do.
   Overall nice product, just needs to be cheaper.

   I received this product via Ipsy. I can’t comment on price as it came as part of a sample package. However, I found the dots to be very effective. I have used them on three occasions and found my pimples to shrink to less than half the size. I put it on once I had a pimple but I suspect that if I put it on at the very beginnings of a pimple, I will likely have great results! I think they are worth the money for occasional breakouts. Much more gentle than benzoyl peroxide.

   I bought the trial size from Sephora before committing to the larger packet. I had good results from using these and plan to buy again. I think having the small size for a trip is a good idea because as treatments go, this one is easy. My first experiment proved to be successful; the dots helped me clear up two standard zits, and the dots were good at shrinking a bump that had already come to a head and had sort of healed, but seemed resistant to benzoyl peroxide. It was still a bump but became flatter after using these dots for three days.

   Do leave each dot on the area for at least eight hours — it needs time to work. So make sure the skin is clean and dry (no moisturizer) before you apply the dot. The amount of BHA is less than the percentage in my nightly 1% BHA exfoliant, so it needs to stay on the skin to be effective.

   For reference, I don’t have large cystic acne; I get hormonal acne – one or two spots once a month, or sometimes when I travel and have a disrupted sleep schedule combined with unhealthy fast food meals and a lack of water. Sometimes trips take a toll on my skin, so having a few of these would be good for an on-the-road zit emergency.

   You get clear sheets of dots in two sizes. The smaller dots are good for tiny zits that crop up and the larger dots are for the embarrassing Mount Krakatoa size. I wash with Paula’s Choice CLEAR cleanser when I’m trying to rid my skin of acne, and follow with a gentle toner, then blot my skin dry, then stick the dot to the affected area, and leave it there for at least eight hours. I noticed a difference in the number of days it took to get rid of the acne, and because the dots are clear, you can check on their progress every time you look in the mirror (unless you cover the dot with makeup, which some people will prefer).

   PROS:

   1. Each clear dot is coated with salicylic acid, tea tree oil, and hyaluronic acid to battle the zit while you wear the dot.
   2. The dot is comfortable; it feels like a tiny Band-Aid, and I soon forget it’s there.
   3. The dots do not tingle or irritate.
   4. The adhesive is strong enough to keep them on all day at work, or all night while you sleep. Yet they are easy to peel off.
   5. If you only wear one or two it’s unlikely that anyone will notice them, although the plastic is shiny and catches the light.
   6. Compact and flat and easy to toss in your makeup kit without taking up much space.

   CONS:

   1. Not entirely “invisible.” From certain angles; light will hit the dot like a round piece of Scotch tape on your skin. But it’s less noticeable than little round clear Band-Aids, which is what I used in high school over large blemishes when I was desperate.
   2. Expensive if you use them frequently.
   3. Not as effective as antibiotics, but you’d need a prescription for those.
   4. This seems to work gently, and won’t make blemishes instantly vanish with a snap of the fingers. The recommended wearing time per dot is eight hours.

   It’s not a miracle, but it speeds up recovery time. I think the dots shrank my zits faster than if I hadn’t used this product. They would work even better if Peter Thomas Roth doubled the percentage of BHA. I recommend getting the smaller, cheaper packet first. That way you can decide whether they are right for you, and you’ll know after using 24.

   $12 for 24 dots or $30 for 72 dots.

   Key Ingredients:

   -Salicylic Acid 0.5% (OTC Active Level): Treats blemishes and prevents the formation of new breakouts.
   -Tea Tree Oil: An essential oil from an Australian plant has natural antimicrobial activity, which can work on the skin-dwelling bacteria involved in the development of problem skin.
   -Hyaluronic Acid: Works to keep skin hydrated and can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water by pulling moisture from the air.

   I purchased the smaller size of 24 dots for 12 dollars, which I still think is expensive. 72 dots costs 30.00. I wasn’t going to spend that much unless I tried it first.

   When I received these I was in the middle of an awful breakout. I always suffer hormonal breakouts on my chin/jawline during PMS but this has been a stressful month for me and I was sick for 3 weeks and my skin took a beating and I ate terrible. I have breakouts on my upper cheek which is strange for me.

   I put the dots on last night on where I saw a pimple coming and on the one’s that were the worst inflamed. I put the dots on after I toned but before I moisturized the rest of my face. They were easy to stick on and there clear but you can clearly see a circle on your face. There was a faint scent of tea tree oil but not overpower.

   When I woke up this morning I took them off and I was actually amazed. You could see the gunk that came on the dot. That made me realize how much of it was spreading around my face and causing more pimples in that area. Most of my pimples came to head or were less inflamed.

   Today I decided to use just one of a pimple that was still under the skin and see how it looked with makeup on top. You definitely need a good matte foundation or concealer to cover it but you can. I really like these and I will purchase the full size.

    If these are any way near the effectiveness of the original “dots” by Ponds…there they will get a rave from me…I was so excited to see these…even at the price..Gag!!!! I have been buying the Ponds on line..but even recently they were hard to find..and by the time you did find them..they were not cheap!!!
