I have been on a constant mission to find the perfect foundation for my aging combination light medium neutral skin. I also need or to best with full coverage formulas because I feel like very even out my skin tone much better then luminous were even Matte.
I have spent so many thousands of dollars on just about every low and high end Foundation that made claims to help my particular skin situation. So far my best luck was with Kevin aucoin One of his formulas but as soon as I started using this I realized I have family found the one!
This is the best foundation I’ve ever used in my life and I mean it with all my heart. For paying $25 I wish I had just started with this 1. Now my problem that I have found the best of the best is that it’s so incredibly hard to find online these days. Why everyone would stop selling this wonderful product is shocking.
When I use it I use a primer from my derma logica skin line And this as it’s going on using my fingers instead of a brush it actually feels like I’m applying some kind of skin care instead of make up. It feels great and the shade match is unbelievable . For reference I wear desert page in double wear And the shade of this that is a perfect match is OCD.
The formula is truly amazing as it feels like you are wearing nothing but the coverage is just as good if not better than the double wear. What I find to be better about this is the light weight feeling and I don’t need to use powder. It doesn’t look shiny after application in the least. You literally cannot even tell I’m wearing foundation and it didn’t settle into my fine lines at all and I didn’t even have to wear concealer. This is like a dream come true.
This foundation is actually working with my horrible cream and a pause sweating that I have to deal with now. I can’t even wear most daytime lotions because they don’t let my skin breathe which makes me sweat on my hair align all day long. I haven’t had any issues whatsoever in that regard which I didn’t even think would be possible.
All of my flaws are covered and even my 13 year old son told me I looked younger one day that I had this on. He told me that whatever is different about my face that day to keep doing it. This is insanely perfect for summer time and hot weather. So long as I use my good primer it does not even budge The entire day.
Cannot say enough about this product!

I heard many great reviews about this foundation for oily skin and decided to give it a try. However, this really didnt work for me for some reason. The foundation broke down even before mid day, looking patchy and ugly. I gave this 2 chances and decided I really can’t use this anymore. I usually hate to waste products but this is one of the ones where I really can’t use it anymore. Not sure if this is still in stores as Kate has a new foundation but its a super no go for me.

A very matte foundation, which turns to powder. The good news is it is quite long lasting, the bad news is it can leave your skin looking dry and lifeless. I had this for quite some time, kept going back to it because I don’t like throwing anything out and wasting money – I’ve mixed it with moisturizers, other foundations, bb cream, and it just doesn’t work, so I had to throw it out today. I really want to like Kate products, because it’s relatively cheap and has good product packaging, but have yet to find the one product that works well – there’s always something off about it. The search continues.

I have an oily skin and living in a tropical country. This foundation does me justice, though it is not a perfect product for an oily skin.
Here’s what I can summarise this product as:
– Lightweight, and does up to medium coverage.
– Blends perfectly with my skin. I use a dense kabuki brush and stipple the product onto my skin.
– The product would dry up very fast upon application and it dries up to matte.
– Lasting power I could say about 3 – 4 hours. More than that, the face would look super oily and foundation easily slide off. But if i’m staying indoor in an air conditioned area, the foundation would last longer but not around the oily area.
– Doesn’t control my oil secretion. So every now and then, I have to blot my face.
I could use this foundation as my daily wear, just when I don’t need so much of a coverage, or a very lasting foundation just cause I feel that with this foundation my skin kinda breathes. Hehe.

I wanted to love this foundation, I really did.
The coverage this foundation provides is light-medium and the shade OC-C matches my face colour perfectly (light warm, olive ~NC20 skin). It’s not enough to cover post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or dark spots completely – it covers around 70% of them. I’m usually not after a flawless look even when I break out because I’d rather not be too caked face. The packaging is lovely and portable and I like the fuss-free pump.
This gives a nice demi-matte finish. In summer, this foundation doesn’t make me overly oily but what it does do is slide off my face. For reference, I have normal-dehydrated skin (leaning more towards normal) now. In winter, this foundation largely stays on my face with the Goss method (powder, foundation, then powder on the top) but it tends to look unpleasant as the day goes on, when it mixes with my natural oils, separates and looks cakey when I decide to powder my face. I found that this foundation dried out my skin far too much regardless of the season – even if I slathered my face with heavy moisturising cream, the foundation would only create or draw attention to dry patches that previously hadn’t existed. This foundation lasts a long time – I’ve been using it religiously for four months 3-4 times a week and I still haven’t finished the bottle. I will finish the foundation but this will not be repurchased.
I think this foundation is best suited for people with oily skin due to the liquid-to-powder finish or people with light-medium olive/yellow skin tones but I really cannot recommend this to people with dry/dehydrated skin.

I have combo skin but this foundation is drying out my skin like hell and looks cakey all the time. Worst foundation i’ve ever used.

I have combination/dry skin and it’s so difficult to find the one foundation that can mattify in areas needed, even out my skin tone, smooth over my pores rather than sit in it, not oxidize, not accentuate fine lines, have decent sunscreen, and provide good coverage. Kate Powderless Liquid Foundation is a dream. Dislike using the term HG, it doesn’t exist but this is as close to perfect for me as it can get. And I have a long list of high ends, each claiming miracles but in the end fulfilling only 2-3 of the factors mentioned above. If you can remember to moisturise lightly before use, shake this bottle well, apply using your fingers and work quickly starting with one part of your face at a time, the result is perfection. Packaging is simple, hygienic, klutz-proof and great for traveling. I’m not a packaging type of person, and I wish there were more blind test reviews out there, so people don’t get hyped by the name or packaging or price. Kate works very similarly to Nars Weightless but personally I think Kate’s finishing looks more refined. Downside may be the colour option as it’s catered to the Asian market, the speed that you may need to work on the product. Kate provides medium to full coverage. I say this because I skip concealer completely for under eye n it’s never looked better n more natural. However it partially conceals acne scarring. You could go in with a second layer n just lightly tap in the needed area and it provides full coverage without the cakiness. Price…I think cheap compared to my high end products, and yet does what it says it does. So in love with this baby xxx

I have nothing to not like about this foundation. It is not very expensive. It comes with a pump. It has medium to high coverage depending on the methods I used to put it. I’ll get a medium coverage if I use a sponge or my fingers. I’ll get a higher coverage when used a brush. It is long lasting and has good oil control. It comes with a wide variety of shades too. An excellent foundation! I will recommend to any girls with oily skin like me.

This foundation is my holy grail foundation! It’s literally one of the best foundations I wore! I’m literally an oil slick and this foundation lasted really well on me. I got this in OC-C I think and it matches quite well (then again, I do like my foundation a little lighter than my own skin so it brightens up my complexion). I believe that KATE foundations leans a bit more yellow in tones so it matches my Asian skin really well.
I dot this on my face then use a damp beautyblender to blend it out. I find that this prolongs a bit of playing time for me to get it smooth because I read reviews that they said you gotta work fast with this foundation. It also eliminates the powdery finish of the foundation (it ends up being quite pointless), but gives you a semi-matte finish which looks like my own natural skin but it looks a whole lot clearer and better. I still do have to powder a bit with this foundation because I’m an oil slick like I said earlier.
I have also used this with a slightly damp Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and I also like the finish of it that the brush gives. The foundation lasts for about 6-8 hours I think, and the foundation feels incredibly lightweight. I don’t feel like I’m wearing a mask like certain foundations do.
Definitely will repurchase this because it’s such a great foundation!

i usually use shu uemura foundations but i heard good reviews about this foundation so i had to give it a try. first i must say that this foundation is true to its hype. it glides on effortlessly on my combination and sensitive skin, feels lightweight and holds up the whole day. i apply it using a duo fibre stippling brush and no cakeyness whatsoever. in fact i like how soft and supple my skin feels when i’m wearing this. as far as oil control goes, it is better than most of the shu uemura foundations i’ve tried and that’s saying a lot for a cheap drugstore foundation. finish is soft matte and NOT dead matte and using a setting powder after the foundation is optional. the shade i’m using, be-c, which is the yellowest shade kate has, is almost the same shade as mac nc25 and it’s darker than my skintone but i don’t really mind because as the day goes by, the foundation just blends with my skin giving me a pretty natural look. coverage is buildable light to medium and it has spf 20 pa++.
EDIT: after weeks of wearing it daily, i’ve given up trying to make it work. no matter what i do, the foundation will go uneven on my face (it makes dots on your face) after a few hours). not a good look at all. dont even get me started of the oranginess of this shade be-c. i feel like i got my face covered with orange paint every time i’ve put it on. ew. this has also made made my skin drier because of the oil control. gah! back to my shu uemura foundation.
