   As I am getting closer to mid-30’s, I have finally decided to disregard the price-tags on skin care and feed my skin the nice stuff.
   After all, you have to put yourself first, having nice skin beats any amount of makeup products. I got this eye cream in a 3ml/0.1oz sample size. Prior to this I have used the Kiehl’s avocado eye cream, Kiehl’s powerful wrinkle reducing eye cream, and Laneige water bank eye cream. I got thin lines around the inner corners of my eyes that my foundation LOVES to settle in, you know the type that instantly make you look years older?
   I have been trying to get rid of it for years! I know things like wrinkles and pores you can’t really “get rid of”, it’s only possible to make them as unnoticeable as humanly possible and I personally don’t believe any products claims to magically make these things disappear without surgical means. I don’t have problems with dark circles though, so I can not comment on how well it works in that aspect. So my main concerns are fine lines and (by a little stretch) fat granules around the lower socket.

   As you only really need to apply a tiny bit of eye cream anyway, so 3mls is actually quite a lot of product (1/5 of the full size jar)! I use around the size of a cotton tip on my ring finger, rub them together and distribute them into 3 dots along the bottom of my eyes. Dab and tap to work them in. The texture is a very light gel texture and it absorbs quickly without any residue sitting on the skin. I have only used it at nights for about a week and I have noticed a significant difference. It is also reducing the appearance of fat granules around the bottom of my eyes as well, I am so happy!

   I will definitely be buying the full size product when I am finished with the sample.

   It is a lightweight (probably too lightweight) cream formulated for the eye area.

   I find it too light and not hydrating enough unless used during the summer months.

   It does contain some very good actives , along with excellent probiotic ingredients (Bifida Ferment Lysate and Vitreoscilla Ferment) that strengthen the lipid barrier along with some excellent cell fuels (in the form of Adenosine and yeast exact). It has also some excellent hydrators as Biosaccharide Gum-1, Hyaluronic acid and glycerin). Because of this balanced blend of actives, this serum is truly suitable for a younger skin, a sensitive one but also for an older more mature skin that needs a more complex range of actives. In this case the addition of Salicyloyl Phytosphingosine will contribute to minimizing the signs of aging by supporting epidermal cell differentiation, skin repair and skin renewal, improving the conditions of mature or photo-aged dermis by boosting collagen synthesis and reducing its degradation, reinforcing the dermal-epidermal junction and soothing inflamed skin (according to the producer of the raw-material).

   The formula is exactly the same as the newly launched eye cream under another L’Oreal brand: Biotherm as Life Plankton Eye Cream, There is no difference in the formulas only in the packaging (even here only the colour of the jar) and the lower price-tag of the latter.

   Got this as a jar sample & used it every nite for over a month…did absolutely nothing for my
   eyes….going back to my La Mer regime that, while expensive, improves my wrinkles around
   my eyes. Save up for that…don’t waste your $ on this.
