I’m most likely the only person in the whole world that is torn between loving and being meh about CT Matte Revolution lipsticks.
Bond Girl-
Is the most perfect muted, nude-ish, berry red. It reminds me of NARS Dolce Vita on my skin tone. I am utterly in love with this shade. The formula itself, I’m not that crazy about. It goes on silky smooth as everyone says it will. The texture is very velvety but whenever I rub my lips together to get the color on my top lip, it feels grainy. I’ve never felt this with other lipsticks.
If I put lip balm on first, then the lipstick, I feel like I’m not getting much color. If I don’t have any lip balm on, I feel that it ends up too dry on my lips and tends to accentuate my lip wrinkles and settle in fine lines.
Am I crazy or does any one else have this problem? I’d love to hear what your pre-CT Matte Revolution routine is.

I was so looking forward to Bond Girl. When I saw the colour on the CT website I thought it was the colour I’ve been fruitlessly searching for, for years. And it is. The colour is a muted berry/plum, which is very flattering. The texture is almost like a balm, and it has a matte finish which isn’t drying.
Unfortunately it has zero staying power. It just disappears from my lips, even if I’m not eating or drinking. I don’t know what happens to it. It’s so disappointing because the colour is lovely, but I wish it had some staying power. Even if it left a nice stain as it wore off, that would be something, but it just disappears. For that reason, I won’t repurchase.

My skin tone: NC30-35. Neutral leaning yellow.
Superb product! Very flattering against my skin tone, lasts a long time and feels very comfortable on the lips. Matte formula that somehow does not dry my lips out. Expensive, but worth the price to me. Love everything about this product and will repurchase it!
