i am giving this 3 lippies because for me there’s nothing really bad but at the same time there’s nothing extra special about this powder. i definitely prefer MAC’s other powder more than this one. For example the MSF and Blot Powder works better for me)
I bought the shade Medium Dark for my NC 40 / NC 42 skin, color is fine, it is kind an okay coverage but i don’t think it really helps with my oily face. I had to reapply many many times. Maybe this powder only works best with Prolongwear liquid foundation??

This is a great powder foundation/bronzer. I’m only throwing mine out because it’s hella old and I’ve replaced all my powder bronzers with the Kat Von D shade and light palette and don’t use this anymore, but it’s a great product and gives a nice, radiant finish.

Eh. That’s how I feel about it. I got it in hopes of finding a talc free powder with a little coverage to set foundation. This is invisible. I see zero coverage. It’s quite dry and stiff in the pan. I have a hard time getting powder on my brush or the puff it comes with. It does set my makeup and holds up on my combo oily skin. It irritates my skin a little. I’m actually returning this due to how hard it is and the skin irritation.

I say yes I would buy again, but for me this powder is ok. There is nonthing particularly bad about it but i don’t think its something that I can’t live without either. For my combo/dry skin it holds up well, but you have to becareful because I can see this becoming cakey if you are overly oily and don’t blot first. I use this either as a final powder appliaction with a big fluffy brush over my t-zone area or as a touch up powder through out the day. I don’t care for a lot of MAC shades because I tend to run in between Nc40-42 and both are not a perfect match. I purchased this in the shade “Medium Golden,” and its a nice color a little too peachy or red for me but somehow over my foundation looks good. It photographs very nicely even in natural light and I do plan to use this to wear for special occasions where I will be taking photographs.

This is a great powder for people with very oily skin. I like to apply this in the middle of the day before my foundation has a chance to disappear or get streaky and it keeps the coverage on my face. This is not a sheer powder like blot powder, it does have some color. If you have oily skin, I recommend blotting skin with blotting papers before you apply it to keep it from clumping up on certain areas of your face. I am an NC20/25 and I wear the Light Plus shade.

I think this is more of a powder not a powder foundation so I’d put it in a different category but anyway.. I really didn’t like this at all. Made my skin look dull, the lightest color ain’t light enough for me. I kind of felt like I had to really work to get any product onto my brush, tried multiple brushes and same thing with all of them. Got rid of it recently as it just sat in my drawer and I never reached for it.

I have this in Dark Deepest which looks very dark in the compact but applies sheer. This powder is very matte and does a great job of controlling shine. I use it along with the Pro Longwear Nourishing foundation and it has been working fine. I have extremely oily skin but it manages to keep my face matte for most of the work day and most importantly, it stays on. This is definitely for those with oily skin.
