One of Demeter’s most highly rated PMU sprays on their actual website and other review sites, however for me it’s definitely not one that I enjoyed using and had to ponder if the product that I had was the same one everyone else was raving about!? Firstly the fragrance just isn’t right. It starts off with a strong note of clove (?) and then quickly morphs into something else that barely resembles banana in any form. On my skin it’s even worse…like a burnt plastic smell that I couldn’t wash off fast enough. I find the same thing happens with many of Demeter’s sweeter fragrances that are not caramel based or from that family of fragrances. Any PMU of theirs that’s supposed to resemble a cake of any sort tends to share this problem.
My advice: if it’s a sweet fragrance from their collection you’re looking for, stick with caramel or Sticky Toffee Pudding. Caramel has better longevity, almost like an EDT. Sticky Toffee pudding is sweeter, very sweet so be warned but doesn’t last very long! From the fruit/dessert ones Lemon Meringue is true to its namesake and Orange Cream Pop is pretty good too. And finally Watermelon Lollipop deserves a shout out – it’s tangy, tart and mouth watering, but doesn’t last long sadly. Oh and can’t forget Frozen Margarita too! However the others – of which I’ve tried the vast majority of, just aren’t worth it, Banana Flambee sadly being one of them…

This smells pretty close to banana flambee. I only have it in lotion form, so I’m not sure about the spray. As with most Demeter products, I can smell something a bit waxy. I love sweet scents, but I’ll admit this one can get a tad sickening at times. However, the fragrance is quite accurate and yummy!

This does not smell like bananas to me at all. I just didn’t like it, it smelled more cakey than anything else.

ahh, brings back fond memories of table service class. picture a chef who looks like deranged lucille ball standing over you with a dangerously flammable bottle of bacardi 151 poised to hit the pan, insisting that you learn to properly flambee, and proclaiming that youll get it right if it takes all night. tired after making your fifth batch of foster sauce (and about 50 batches of steak diane and crepes suzette) so its just right, you flub and turn what should be an quick caramel sauce and an entertaining table side show into a gummy, over hard mess.
this is exactly what this scent reminds me of- poorly spiced, over done caramel that will never be quite right. the cinnamon and banana are beyond fakey (and let me tell you, i really enjoy fake banana scents), and the toasty accord is off and artificial. very very disappointing.

Not a bad scent but if yournot a huge fan of bananas dont buy this. The banana scent is a little too overpowering but on the dry down its more sugary. I personaly dont like the smell of bananas and i think this is why i didnt like it

This is fantastic. Definately one of my favourite Demeters. Quite a complex scent and a little hard to describe. Smells to me like soft cooked bannanas flamed in sugary brandy. Reminds of bannana pancakes a little. Such a warm yummy scent. I cannot stop smelling myself when I wear this. Will definately repurchase (probably the 4oz)

Yummy! Demeter’s food fragrances always seem either way off or right on, and Banana Flambee hits the nail on the head. Smells just like the real thing! It’s one of the best banana scents out there.

Smells warm and very comforting. This is by far the best Demeter I have tried to date. Lasts much longer on me than the others I have tried. I would buy again.

Smells like warm bananas drizzled with a rum sauce and sprinkled with cinnamon. It’s a very comforting scent, but a bit too foody for my tastes. Lasting power is a little better than most of the other Demeters I have.

Smells like caramelized bananas. A bit too sweet for my liking, would prefer straight up banana scent. The packaging is boring, and the scent does not last at all. As far as other Demeter scents, I prefer Orange Cremecicle, much more crisp and fruity.
