If you’re familiar with when Avon sold Hawaiian White Ginger fragrance (back in the 70’s and very early 80’s) then you will absolutely love Calgon Hawaiian Ginger body spray. They don’t smell the same, but this is the closest you can get to Avon’s. This is a very refreshing, melony, floral scent with a slightly spicy, sweet ginger. It definitely takes you to the tropics, and you’ll feel the spirit of “aloha” wherever you go when wearing this beautiful fragrance. It rivals Bath and Body Works, Victoria’s Secret, and Bodycology body mists. This is the best of the best! The best about this is, I purchased my bottle at Walmart for $4.99. Doesn’t get any better than that!

Being curious about many positive reviews this stuff gets I went to my local Walgreens to try it out.
The smell is very artificial, it reminds me of a lovely smelling tropical bathroom air freshener. It’s sweet and floral. Great for a teenager who is on a tight budget but wants to smell nice. 8oz bottle for 8$ (currently on sale for less than 6$ at Walgreens)

I just love, love, love, love ♥ Calgon Hawaiian Ginger… The scent is definitely feminine and sexy…. The moisturizing body cream is thick and creamy and leaves my skin irresistibly soft… I use it generously all over…. I like to top it off with the body spray…. I get compliments frequently about the scent, my boyfriend loves it when I use it, it drives him crazy in a good way lol… I’ve also used the body wash but lately I have a hard time finding it… But luckily I can always find the lotion and spray…. Definitely one of my favorites from Calgon…..

Does this smell like middle school to anyone else? I remember completely loving this and having many products from Calgon that were scented with the Hawaiian Ginger. It is bright and sharp but also very warm, which I always loved. I don’t own any now, but I still know the exact smell of it, and there are lots of memories from my early teens to accompany it. I am sure that if I smelled it today, over a decade later, I’d be instantly transported back to that time in my life. While the other girls were all about BBW Cucumber Melon (which also smells like middle school to me), I was more of a fan of this scent, which in my circle of peers was a bit under the radar and kind of different for the time.

This smells so yummy!!!! supposedly this was one of the late Brittany Murphy’s favorite scents. I can see why: It smells SO good.

This was what I smelled like at 15. I love this scent, every time I put it on I feel young. Not many things can do that.
It’s smells sweet and delicious. It last like an hour but for that hour….yum.
I actually use this as my own personal room air fresher. It’s fruity and tropical and inoffensive.

I have been buying this body spray for 17 years now and couldn’t be luckier that this scent has never been discontinued. The smell is so pleasant, beautiful, yummy and attractive and I always get compliments wearing it as people say oooooh, you smell so good. Since its a body spray and not a perfume, the scent doesn’t last forever but doesnt fade too soon. I get headaches from certain perfumes so this has been just perfect. Give it a try, I guarantee youll love it and the compliments will start flowing in!!! Take me away Calgon!

I have grown tired of paying high prices for scents that do not last any longer than body sprays.
I had never smelled a Calgon scent until recently and I am very impressed with the fragrance AND lasting power of this body mist. It lasts for a decent amt of time and if I have to respray, I do not mind at this price point.
I bought the mist and lotion in this scent and I am really loving it. Try layering with a vanilla body spray…I think it is heavenly.
I will purchase this again.
