This review is for the shade “Milk & Cookies,” which is the only Sydney Grace Shimmer Shadow I own (so far).
I wanted an eyeshadow that is:
– From a cruelty-free company
– Reasonably priced
– Neutral-cool pale cream, with a
satin finish
– Available as a single
Milk & Cookies checks all these boxes!
The Sydney Grace site describes Milk & Cookies as “cream with tan undertones and a slight sheen,” and that’s accurate, though I’d classify the sheen as more than “slight.” There is, mercifully, NO glitter, though.
Milk & Cookies is *very* pigmented, so if you want a subtle effect, use a light touch. As for the color, Milk & Cookies *is* a pale cream, and it does have some undertones that I find difficult to describe – they’re not yellow, not pink, and not really brown/tan, either. “Taupe” is the best I can do; Milk & Cookies is that rare neutral-to-cool cream, which is exactly what I wanted.
It makes a wonderful inner corner and browbone highlight, lending an ethereal effect to my green eyes and NW15 skin.
Milk & Cookies wears tenaciously on my very oily skin, especially with a good primer underneath.
The pan fits perfectly into one of ColourPop’s shadow compacts.
If you have fair skin and like neutral eyeshadows, you need Milk & Cookies.

Sydney Grace is an indie brand that used to be an Etsy shop called feather river body. Their shimmer shadows are a medium density formula. Much thinner and smoother then their pressed pigment formula. But they have a heavy sheen still. I have quite a few shades and have found the formula to be quite consistent between shades in performance. My big complaint is that they make way to many shadows that are too similar to each other. For example, Epiphany is a pressed pigment, and it’s idenitcal in color to their shimmer blushing bride. If they swatch a series of shades next to each other, from my experience, those shadows are too similar to own more than one. But the formula is great, just be careful picking shades. I will add on some color names and recommendations later.
